Fri 17 Sep 10 What a grand day we have had in our life today. A super sweet time early on the patio watching the Sun arise and show off its beauty, praising The LORD for the blessings, favors and mercy that were extended yesterday and are being given today. We had lunch in Cool, visited the War Museum in Mineral Wells, shared a hot fudge sundae, did a little shopping, came home and I finished watching "The Green Beret" DVD. We hope to work the FW TEA Party on Saturday.
We are grateful to be able to see, hear, hold, read and speak the Word of GOD.Each day allows us to check our concept of GOD and ask Him to cause us to be confident in our beliefs, but not overly familiar. We were assured again today that GOD's "Plan of Salvation"is not too difficult to hear and believe when a person will read precept and line as it is written and be led by The Holy Spirit.

We find the transition from Isaiah to Galatians as seamless. Pray to be true to Truth and seek to know right from wrong. Quality is always more important than quantity.

Register to vote, get others registered to vote, know the issues and where the candidates have stood/voted and then listen and hear what they are saying. It is an offense to be an American citizen and not be registered or not to vote in every election. Even if 'one" does not vote, that vote still counts. All are Yea or nay but do not try to be neutral or lukewarm. When in doubt, seek wisdom from GOD. pj

Thu 16 Sep 10 What a great day for us several years ago when our daughter was born. We were stationed at Dahlonega,GA and serving as unit commander and Ranger instructor in the Mountain Ranger Camp. We were not saved then, but we were and have been blessed before this great event and every day since we have been favored by GOD.

Hope you are reading regularly, consistently, diligently and expecting The LORD to manifest Himself to you as He promised while you are reading to know Him. About 2800years ago the prophet Isaiah was breathed upon by Jehovah to pen the mind of GOD. We are blessed to have the true and only Word of God that has been preserved for all English speaking people, The authorized King James Version of The Holy Bible. Spend some time in 1st John 1:1-10 and II Timothy 3:16-17, then perhaps you will be more careful and have a greater appreciation of your blessings. Selah.

Be careful reading Galatians, lest we all become too familiar with these truths and miss an application for our lives today. We ought to act like Jesus. As you read Proverbs 23:15-16 how do you relate to these words in your conversation? Our heavenly Father is watching, O to make Him rejoice.Almighty GOD loves you and me. pj

Monday 13 Sep 10-What a beautiful day!!Hope you enjoy seeing The Bible come alive early each day. We have a wonderful vista from our garden and when The Sun arises out of the East, Psalm 19 shouts and says "He is coming!"Get up early and listen for the talk of GOD.
Several years ago I penned on this day "9/10th of our suffering is caused by others not thinking as much of us as we think they should." We discussed this thought again this AM and agreed that we are truly selfish. Pride is an easy old garment to slip into early each day and think much of ourselves. We confessed this and other sins and then read for today about The LORD JEHOVAH to know him. I am glad 1st John 1:1-10 is True and it makes provisions and favor for me and my family.

I ask you to evaluate your concept of GOD as you read Isaiah. Be careful to observe how The Lord describes His concept of Himself. Note how Isaiah pens his concept and then compare these to those of the people of GOD. Looking and see the evidence.

Allow the letter to the people of Corinth be a warning to you today and then apply these truths into your conversation daily. Read 13:14 and be grateful. Be careful when you choose friends. Learn the different meanings of the word, particularly as they were used by Jesus, even with Judas. Selah. Read, believe, practice and share, pj

Wed 8 Sep 10- What a great day! We have had 4" of rain given to refresh our garden that The Lord has placed us in to be stewards. After reading Isaiah 53:1-5 I am looking for flowers that are ,in my concept, out of place yet they were put there by Creator GOD for my pleasure.Look for Him who makes all things! Listen to the language that the heavens and the firmament declare. He wants us to know Him.

I am copying statements made by Dietrich Bonhoeffer that were printed on his book "Reflections on the Bible" ISBN 1-56563-988-X, printed Sep 2004. "I believe that the Bible alone is the answer to all our questions and that to receive an answer from it, we only need to ask with persistence and a little courage. One cannot read the Bible as we read other books. One must be ready to really ask questions. Only in this way does it open itself up to us. Only when we wait expectantly before it for the ultimate answer does it give it to us. The reason for this is simply that in the Bible it is God who speaks to us. And when it comes to God, one cannot just think things out for oneself; one must ask God. Only when we seek God does he answer."

Perhaps we ought to pause and be diligent in our reading to know Him, Selah.

Let us recall the requests made in Psalm 51 and the given code of conduct for believers. As we read Psalm 52 today, perhaps we will become more reserved and ask why God is so good to us. Wait on The Lord GOD. Pray to be careful in all your dealings with others and strive to be Christlike. Maranatha. pj

7 Sep 10 Hope all is well and that your pleasure is in The Lord. When we apply ourselves to read to know Him, He will cause us to be exposed to Truth.Think about finding a "weed" in your garden. How did it get there? Why do we consider this weed to be out of place? Before you pull the weed, ask GOD to show Himself in His creation so that you may admire an adore Him.Now read Isaiah 53 and see if you find an application. Let me know how you are blessed.

The Song of Solomon ought to cause each of us to reflect on what we desire the most.

Get wisdom. pj
