30 Jan 2012 Monday, the second day of the week and already 1/12 of this year is gone and there are many who still have never heard the Gospel.Hope as you read today you took advantage of the opportunity to know Him. If we are lazy then how does the Proverb 6:6-11 convict you of your sin of being a sluggard? As you pray back the psalms how does The LORD shew and lead you as you trust Him. What do you tell The LORD that He is not aware of? What sin(s) did you admit to, confess and believe that you have been forgiven? Re look Psalm 25:7 to put your forgiveness in the proper place. Does God consider you meek?

Do you see yourself being demonstrated in Matthew's account of the householder hiring labourers in 20:1-16? Have you ever asked for special favors for yourself or your children? What attribute(s) did you see demonstrated by Jesus? Keep these words in mind when you read II Corn 5:17-21. How do you minister?

Take time to read slowly the activities of Moses and notice the time lag between chapter 11&12.How many items First Mentioned in Exodus have you made note of for the purpose of knowing God and learning about His attributes and traits? What did Pharaoh say at 9:27? What did you learn from 8:22-24?What mental image(snap shot) of God did you make from 10:1-2? How did you express your appreciation for living as a gentile today concerning salvation as demonstrated in 12:1-13?What first did you see in v12:11? Don't get bogged down in the weeds, read and as you read pray for The Holy Spirit to teach you Truth. Seek Him diligently and early. luvpj

27 Jan 2012 Friday and Sunday is coming! If you are not getting ready, catch up. Hope you enjoyed reading to know God today.Consider how The LORD dealt with Moses and learn this truth--even in fear OBEY! Moses was told how to pick up the serpent in detail and what used to be Moses' rod became the Rod of GOD. Do you hear Him saying"What is that in your hand?" Read to know Him.

Jesus continues His instruction about care giving and leadership. We need to be sensitive to baby believers. The proverbs describes what can happen to a child left alone and also the benefits of hearing and heeding godly instruction(s)given by parents-teachers-elders-friends-pastors who are in fellowship with The LORD. It is OK to ask your teacher "are you in fellowship with God?" before gettin their counsel. If they are not, stop, both of you seek The LORD, apply 1stJohn 1:9, accept His cleansing, forgiveness then walk in liberty.

Stewardship shows the impact and difference of a storage tank believer and a pipeline Christian. What Truth have you received and not shared? BE then DO right. pj

25 Jan 2012 Wednesday. How did you enjoy the rain last night? We had more than 5in in our gauge and it is appreciated. Psalm 19 did come to life! Hope you enjoy reading to know Him. Some of us are repeat readers and all of agree that already we have seen things in Genesis that we had not noticed before. Keep this in mind, we read to know God and not to make him happy with us because we have read for we are His children and He loves us if we read or not. Please don't read out of guilt. If you miss a day get current. If you miss and you think that if you don't go back and "catch up" He will not be pleased, stop. If you read James 4:17 this will give you some direction. BE right then DO good.

Jacob and Joseph are key players but don't overlook Judah. Connect Matthew 16:19 to those oaths given in Genesis and consider what you hear and say as binding.

Allow the proverbs to serve as benchmarks for your friendships.Boys respond to touch and girls to sight so we all need to be careful in our conversations. Take some of the verses from the psalms and pray them back to The LORD. Write out your prayers and check your spelling of God's names. Enjoy your Saviour. As He loves you and on you, respond and be grateful. The saved have all of this and heaven to come,Maranatha. luvpj-Sunday is coming

19 Jan 2012 Thursday, Friday and Sunday is coming.Hope you enjoyed the majesty of The LORD's handiwork early this AM.It is an encouragement to call a friend who is in a very stressful situation and they relate how good it is to read The word and rest in the promises of God. Read to know Him and remember if you miss a day, don't stress about going back to "catch up" for this may lead to a guilt feeling. We don't read to make our Lord happy with us, we read to know Him for He loves us unconditionally!!!

Why do you go to church? Why do you pray? Why do you do right? If you are a child of The King, there is NOTHING you can do to not BE a child of The King. This gift of a relationship with Almighty God through The Blood is sure, fixed and True. We ought to strive to maintain our walk//fellowship with God. How can two walk together except they BE agreed? We need to be good stewards of our time and faith.Check your priorities to ensure that He is first and preeminent.

Hopefully your concept of God allows you to read and change on a daily basis. For example when you see the contrast in the proverbs it ought to cause you to see different aspects/traits of God,cursing and or blessing. The psalmist pleads for an hearing teaching us to be swift to turn to The LORD and not to trust circumstances. Our confidence starts with our recollection of the provisions already provided by God as we see His truth and reliability demonstrated(sight)and then we believe He will continue to be and do what He has said-This is faith.

Jesus demonstrates His love and grace through the teaching of the parable about the sower and the seed. Every person can be seen in this parable for He is describing us. I pray you sense that the v13:23 describes yourself. Stewardship and evidence are always demonstrated for both the good and the bad just like that of leaven.

Joseph is blessed. What has God done for you that He did for Joseph? Spend some time considering the gifts bestowed to you for the glory of God.Recall your salvation, protection and provisions. Our disappointments will come at the hand of men while The LORD will make our appointments and set things(all)in order at His time. luvpj

18 Jan 2012 OH, started the day looking to The East and it was in darkness at 6:30 AM, but I knew the sun would show up on His timing and bring light, warmth and assurance that the world was OK.Then I visited the dentist for some repair and walked away feeling confident that what he did will be long lasting, sure.

How do you like reading about your forefathers in Genesis and Matthew? All of us have the capacity for catastrophe//bad and or the inclination to do right, it is an opportunity choice and there is/will be always consequences to deal with, some of regret and some of joy. Pray to make the BEST choice.

Do you seek to know God's secrets? Stewardship is the mainstay doctrine for living and serving The LORD. Remember to BE first then DO next. Quality is better than quantity. Consider how your grandparents made preserves and then learn how God wants to preserve you. Look for the paths of joy and be led by His right hand.

Jesus made plain choices for His disciples and stated either with or against me. This same option is for today and we must choose whom we will serve.

When we consider The LORD's ways are Best, we obey! All men and women ought to consider God in every matter of the heart and that ought to include decisions made concerning sex. Good people have made bad choices and suffered the consequence and thankfully when confessed their sin(s)have been forgiven.Consider the lineage of Jesus through the family of Judah from OT to The NT. Read to know Him for He wants you to be His portion for His glory and our good. Get prepared to witness. luvpj

17 Jan 2012 What did you see today for the first time about God? Did you see Him as Great, Good or Genuine? Did you see a new name? What about the promise in the psalms and proverbs? When you recall the sermon on the mount(Matt 5-7)how does this lifestyle demonstrated by Jesus affect your conversation? If not, why not?

We all read to know Him and sometimes we see things that others do not notice and what does that tell you about God? Try "ADORING" The LORD then "CONFESSING" your sins as you are "Thankful" before you "ASK" any thing for yourself. What do you consider your daily bread? luvpj

PS: Try looking toward The East o/a 7:25 AM to see His SUN coming up to display His majesty, then you will sing and praise Him, but if it is too cloudy to see the Sun, have faith that He is there and trust what He has said even as we read about it early on Jan1st.

How many verses are there in Gen1-3:14?

Monday, January 16, 2012

16 Jan 2012 Yea for today. Did you see the handiwork of God early this AM? I like to start by sight seeing the display of His beauty and majesty, then recall His words of Psalms 19,119,62:5,139 and 1.This sure does prepare my soul for a time of devotion before reading through my 365 today to increase my faith as I'm renewed in the inner man as I get to know Him. This will take more than 3-4 min. I really hope all of you would experience a "first" with Him you loves you and died for you and is coming soon to call His disciples out of this world to Himself!!Maranatha.

Learn about manhood and servant hood from the life of Issac,Jacob and Esau. Pray for our girls that they do right and stay away from the world. Jesus asks the hard question of what do we more than the Pharisees? We all need to be honest and look at our stewardship.

No man ought to be as the fool. All of us, who claim to be saved, ought to be seeking wisdom early and diligently, reading to know Him. luvpj

Saturday, January 14, 2012

14 Jan 2012 Saturday and Sunday is coming.Did you catch the beauty of the sunrise? As you read to know God, how many of His attributes have you noticed in the past two weeks? Enjoy your reading without getting tooooo immersed in the creation and forget The Creator. Note the meaning of Beth-El and look for the name El-Beth-El.

Do you consider yourself a disciple of Jesus?

What promise(s) did you gain from reading the psalms and proverbs? Take time and prepare your mind, heart and spirit to come into the presence of GOD Almighty. What is your most favorite name for The LORD your Lord who is The Christ and Creator God??? Read to know Him, luvpj. Hope to see you in church tomorrow.

12 Jan 12 What a good reading today. Have you wondered about when did GOD call Moses and tell him to sit at His feet and record how The LORD made the creation, about Himself, His names, attributes and what was expected so that all of this "His Story" we could read about today and know Him? The Bible is a WONDER Book!or a book of Wonders, Yea!

How did you relate the impact of sin/curse upon Eve as a "belly problem"? Note how many times problems begin with food and the feeding self issue. What about Esau, Jacob, Jacob, publicans and the disciples?

As you read take time to "Selah" now and then, just stop and meditate on what you have just read. Look up the definition and note the difference between adoration and devotion. Terminology is important. If you read a word and you do not know the proper meaning, how may you use that word in your prayers? Try writing out your next "serious" prayer, check your spelling and be careful how you address your plea or praise. God gives us about 700 names of Himself in our KJV 365 Bible so that we may be respectful when we call unto Him. He knows your name.

Stewardship is important and critical. Our salvation is the result of good stewardship. Can you explain, defend or criticize this statement? If you have a question or comment please forward to me at my E-mail powell.johnson@sbcglobal.net

Good reading, sweet meditation as you share the grace of Jesus, the love of God and communion of The Holy Spirit. Read to know Him, luvpj

Wednesday, January 11, 2012

11 Jan 2012 Hope you have enjoyed reading to know Him. I'm convinced that if every person would read and believe The Book of Genesis they would have 95% of the critical doctrines for a Godly life, GOD honoring, and Christ centered.

We are blessed as we read the 365Bible KJV to link on a daily basis The New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs. I encourage you to read Psalm 1, over and over again, even memorize and then consider this as a personal plan from God for your life. If you couple this with Proverbs 3:1-8 you will have insight to how to be a profitable business man.

Please consider the discourse given by Jesus in Matthew 5-7 as the "plan for man" to be a disciple of Jesus, The God-Man. If we plan to live otherwise, we are turning our back to The LORD and we are indifferent to His love, grace, provision, protection, lovingkindness and will not have the communion with The Holy Spirit.

Let us all be careful, swift to admit our sin, repent, quick to confess, trust Him to forgive and cleanse and then walk with Him in righteousness.

Lesson#1 We all have heard that FAITH cometh by hearing the Word of God. JESUS TAUGHT HIS DISCIPLES TO PRAY in Luke 11:4 "Give us day by day our daily bread".
We get to read the KJV Bible each day. We will read verses from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs. Each day's reading will last about 18 min. This daily reading will // may initiate your daily devotion and prayer time. We read to know Him and to learn His near 700 names, attributes, traits, characteristics, promises and expressed will. We get to know Bible history and prophecy.
This is a year long-52 week-commitment to The Lord and each other. We read to know Him, NOT to make Him happy because we have read, or what then do we more than the Pharisees?

DEFINITION: faith is the ability to feel so sure of God, that no matter how dark the day, there is no doubt as to the outcome. The just shall live by faith;Hab2:3

Some thoughts about our reading 1Jan; What names of GOD // God // god did you see? _________________________________________What significant attribute did He demonstrate? ________________________________ What/whose linage is given in Matthew?_________ What makes this lineage significant? _________________
What characteristic of God did you notice? __________________________________
Are there promises given in the psalms?___ How does God categorize people? ______ Is it important to be a wise man? _____ How can you pray for yourself and others better after reading today?__________________________________________________
Read each book individually AND / OR read as if there is no book or testament title separation and as if it was all of the bible you possessed.
What question come to your mind as you read ? What about sins? What about vows?

1.Read thru the 365 Bible; 2.Write out your testimony on a 3X5 card w/dates and scriptures; 3. Write out your prayer for someone's salvation, someone's prosperity and someone's recovery from a tragedy/bad experience.

**Home work: PROVERBS; what does "to fear the LORD" mean to you?
Psalms: What promise did you "claim" for yourself?
Matthew: What lifestyle do you find in the sermon on the mount?
Genesis: What is significant about Gen 20:8?
Have you practiced praying back the psalms using the Names of GOD, God, LORD and Lord? What attributes of God did you discover this week?

PRAYER: Pray before you start, as you read and when you finish. Consider the prayer technique of A-C-T-S using different names of God from A to Z. Develop a prayer journal that agrees with the mind of Christ. Secure/build a set of "promise' and "weapons" verses.
Reading from Jan 5th -- -- Genesis 11:10-16; 29-32; 12:1-20; 13:1-4 Matthew 5:1-26 -- -- Psalm 5:1-12 -- -- Proverbs 1:24-28 -- -- How and where did you see the following attributes of GOD: Transcendent, Immanent, Immutable, Omniscient, Merciful and Gracious? How do you apply these truths to your life//conversation? To hear GOD speak!
***How does Proverbs 1:28 impact your concept of "I AM the LORD God"?__________ How do you apply / use Palm 7:8 in your prayer life? _____________________
What names of God did you discover on Jan 7th? ____________________________________________________________________ Define: (using the concordance and the English dictionary) Abhor, RACA, covenant, replenish, Repent, reproof, beth-el, integrity, blessed, supplanted, blaspheme and buckler. What is significant about El-Beth-El and El-elohe-Israel?

3 Jan 2012 Yea, what a great day to be on planet earth and looking up to heaven and trying to imagine what it will be like to be redeemed, changed, forgiven, having a brand new body,no sin an in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ knowing Him and being known.WOW!!
Hope you have been reading to know Him. Take time to re-read Gensis 1-5 and try to understand what it was like for Moses to sit at the feet of GOD and to hear the history of the world and it being created and destroyed by water. To hear about all the FIRST things God did, said, caused to happen and preserved. Take time to try and grasp the magnificance of GOD.
As you read about Matthew being told the story of the birth of Jesus, are you amazed at the details? Take time to reflect on the First things that God caused Matthew, the psalmist and Solomon to record in His Word so that we might read today so that we might know Him.
Take time to read and meditate about the traits, attributes, names/titles that The LORD God records about Himself. Why did He do this?? Why do you have a Bible in yopur hand?? If you have not been yet redeemed, I beg you to ask God to draw you to Himself as you read to know Him. luvpj
