August 31 Monday an we are still here. Are you still sure of your salvation? Have you told your Saviour of your appreciation for Him and His work? If not,why not? If we can express our thanksgiving to The LORD for The Lord and The holy Spirit, then we can tell other humans about our GOD who is the God of all our being and life. Try it on a daily regular basis of being grateful. Think of all the scriptures that give full assurances of His Truth and remember how these have been put into your account for today and until eternity is fulfilled.Try and explain "how long is eternity?" to a 5 year old child. This is a great experience that you will enjoy for ever.

Job 37:1-39:30 Elihu continues to reprove and exhort Job to consider GOD. We need to follow this example when we are pressed to witness to others. FOCUS on GOD! Now we get the benefit of hearing what The LORD said to JOB.NOW! How would you like to face GOD and let Him quiz you on your knowledge of the world, creation and the future? Read this examination and learn of Him. Is there any thing that GOD does not know? Is there any thing too hard for The LORD? How does this impact your concept of GOD?

2nd Corinthians 4:13-5:11 Liberty is not the license to do your own will. Our faith is increased as we read and take in the Word of GOD. We need to be sensitive to the eternal and incorporate that into our internal clock. If you have any confidence, where did you get it and what is the source of your confidence? Hebrews 9:27 is a key verse, look it up and realize your preparation for eternity is not in vain. Be prepared to meet The LORD today. Help others get prepared for ever. Selah. Amen.

Psalm 44:8-26 Is verse 8 true in your life? How do you brag on GOD? What has He done for/to/through you? What have you begged GOD to be and do for you? Selah.

Proverbs 22:13 What does being lazy and lying have in common? What kind of fear grips you? Do you fear GOD Almighty? If not,why not? Don't be slothful. Amen. pj
August 30 Sunday We had a great attendance in SS Class. We knew that some would be out and others might be too busy or just late, but we had 25.Darwin walked the aisle for salvation in AM service. Pray for his conversion and spiritual growth. He is our "baby" brother and we need to PRAY and care for him. Started the "Meat Book" material with emphasis on Bibliology as we read the Book of Job.Gave out a goodly amount of homework that will add to our understanding, if the class will do the work,we will grow stronger in our faith and practice.Read to know Him. If you are interested in a biblical diet, let Him be your daily bread. Selah.

Job 34:1-36:33 allows us to observe wisdom in action by Job's friend called Elihu. I sense a very strong similarity of Elihu to that of Jesus The Christ. His mannerisms of confronting Job and his other friends with questions and commentaries concerning GOD ought to provoke us to be bold and speak up for The LORD. Elihu makes much of the attributes of GOD.How is your conversation? What/who do you brag about?

2nd Corinthians 4:1-12 ought to cause us to wonder why that "therefore" is there for. What ministry do you have? Do you include Christ in your conversation? Can you explain the Gospel and the new birth? If we are servants for Christ are we not also servants for all other? How do you serve others?

Psalm 44:1-7 causes me to stop and consider who I am serving and why? I need to check my motive daily. As I read to know Him I need to remind myself of of Who He is and not to focus too much on the things I have or think I need. He is the Reason!

Proverbs 22:10-12 explains the best way to live. We need to be mindful of the will of GOD and be alert to the tricks of Satan and his helpers.Be right/do right. pj

August 29 Saturday and getting ready for Sunday. We had a wonderful time in Longview and was blessed at least two times by safe transit to and from home along ISHY 20. Hope all is well in your home and everything seems to be orderly. Lay things out tonight so that in the AM there is min-no confusion about what to wear and when to leave. Read and pray up, strive to be on time, mash the "GC" button as you leave the car and start to class with your smile leading the way as you encourage someone.

Job 31:1-33:33 We all need to try and justify ourselves before the LORD. This is as an asset inventory of good deeds done in Job's life. Do we remember what The LORD said about Job in Chapter1?GOD knows what and why we do any thing. Now, who are we to justify ourselves before a thrice holy GOD?The fourth man to comment on Job's life is Elihu and he is different type of person from the first three men.How can a man be angry with wrath and sin not? Watch how this young man is directed by GOD to put things into a godly perspective. These statements by Elihu should cause us to consider our concept of GOD. Read to know Him, see His hand and learn of His heart.

2nd Corinthians 3:1-1 What has GOD done with Paul that He has not done to you? How does v5-6 apply to your life? Do we not have the same opportunity to walk in The Lord's liberty? What are we doing with the gifts, grace and mercy that The LORD has given us? How is our stewardship? We need to observe what and how The Lord blessed Paul to instruct the church at Corinth and yet focus on GOD and not the vessel.

Psalm 43:1-5 causes us to rethink our prayer life. What light and truth are you following? When was the last time you earnestly pleaded with Almighty GOD to judge you? Let us take time to consider who GOD is and what pleases Him. Pray to be true to The LORD and praise Him when you arrive at His holy hill. Amen. Selah.

Proverbs 22:8-9 Stewardship is always in season. We always reap more than what we have sown,it comes up later and we can not pray successfully for crop failure. We need to sow righteousness, mercy, good and peace with joy.Look at what you are doing.pj

Friday, August 28, 2009

August 28 Friday and Sunday is coming. Are you planning ahead? Get rid of all the obstacles before Saturday night so that you are ready for Sunday. We are having a good time in Longview watching how The LORD is blessing our children and grandchildren in their every day busy schedules. It has been a long time since we had to try to get four people up and out going four different directions at the same time doing different things in different cars in harmony. Being a parent is hard work. Being a grandparent is much easier, we get to watch and sip our coffee.

Job 28:1-30:31 How many snapshots of GOD have you taken since reading Job? Have we learned yet that GOD is the only true source of wisdom? Are we willing to forsake every thing for GOD's wisdom? If not,why not? Look at v28:28 on the 28th and learn truth. Yet we are reminded to apply truth, be right and then do right. The LORD is concerned about our conversation in the world and perhaps it would be a good thing to try and remind GOD of how well we have done by His grace. Let us be careful when we brag on our conduct, lest we make too much of ourselves and too little of GOD. When you read make notes on other scriptures that correspond to you reading, for example Psalm 40 and v30:19 also Romans 7 and verses30:26-31. Read to know Him.

2nd Corinthians 2:9-17 speaks in the matters of agreement and cooperation between believers in the church.Let us pray and watch over for one another. We may live in victory in this world, we can stay clean in this dirty place and we can be a good testimony in a bad circumstance through Christ. Be a wounded helper for the helpless.

Psalm 42:1-11 Who and what do you hope in? When you are in doubt, what do you say? Has there ever been a time when GOD's loving kindness was not present? When you sense absolute defeat, to whom do you cry out to? Read to know Him and hide His word in your heart so that if or when bad times come, trust His Word, hand and heart.Amen.

Proverbs 22:7 Learn this truth and strive to live debt free. Purpose to owe only The LORD, live in His prosperity and walk in His liberty. Owe no man. Selah. Amen. pj
August 27 What a beautiful day to have rain, get a haircut and drive to Longview. Hope your activities are pleasant and fulfilling. Remember to read to know Him and then look for His hand in your circumstances of life.Aren't you glad about who you were, are and will be because of GOD over watching you from inception to life eternal.

Proverbs 22:5-6 reminds us of a great opportunity to make a godly difference in the life of others. Who are you involved with today telling them all you know about GOD?

Psalm 41:1-13 Our conduct affects others. We may be blessed by our deeds or not. When we depend upon The LORD, walk in our righteousness an integrity that He has given us, then our joy will be full and GOD will get glory. Amen. Be and do right.

2nd Corinthians 1:12-2:8 ask of us the question"how is your conversation in the world?" If we know right and do it not it is sin. Let us be constantly reminded of the wholly Holy work that GOD ha accomplished in us through Jesus Christ, learn His truths and promises and live in/by faith so that others may be saved.Let us practice forgiving others as we have been forgiven and love others as we are loved by GOD.

Job 23:1-27:23 Have you ever wondered where GOD was when you called and it seemed as though He did not hear nor care? There is a BIG difference between complaining to The LORD and murmuring to others about how GOD is mistreating you. Where is your confidence? What do you believe about GOD and His Holiness? Are there obstacles in your prayer life that hinder you from coming into His presence? When you seek The LORD, what reason do you give to The Holy Spirit that He might carry your request to The Throne of GOD for His consideration? How do you adore and fear GOD?If you had the opportunity to pray with a friend, what would you ask for that friend to be and do first? Who do you agree with when you pray? Let us remember that there is nothing hidden from The LORD and all things are known to Him. Walk in your integrity. pj

Tuesday, August 25, 2009

August 26th Where were you this day in 2000? Where were you in 2008? Try to imagine were you would be without GOD and His salvation. How long have you been saved? How many times have you read through The Bible or the 365 Bible? What are your intentions about reading your Bible? Is it your necessary daily bread? Do you enjoy the fresh bread? Or,are you satisfied with old wine and stale bread? What is the love of your life this day? Yesterday is gone, we may not have tomorrow, so what have you chosen for today? Who is FIRST? These questions I face every day? Please seek the direction of The Holy Spirit and choose to make The LORD, Lord of your life.

Proverbs 22:2-4 Speaks of the past, present and the future.Read to know Him and by humility and fear seek and follow GOD.Look at the facts stated. Do you consider yourself prudent? How do you warn those that are simple? How are you involved in the lives of others? If you are not involved with others, how do you stay busy? Selah.

Psalm 40:11-17 continues the description of a person who has been redeemed.Have you prayed verse16-17 back to GOD?What is the gist of you prayers? Do you focus on self and what you need or want"give me"? Do you offer much thanksgiving? How do you lament as you confess your sins? How many names of GOD do you use when you adore The LORD for who He is? Why should Jesus present your prayers to The Father? Selah.

2nd Corinthians 1:1-11 reminds the church at Corinth that they are loved and prayed for by Paul. Who knows that you are praying for them? Remember to focus on GOD.

Job 20:1-22:30 contains some difficult passages to comment about. We can observe the earthly conversation easier than those directed to GOD in heaven.

Monday, August 24, 2009

August 25th, Monday and we are still here. Are there any clouds in the sky?If you had to leave early this AM for work, I pray that The LORD bless you and keep you safe.Put GOD first and expect Him to put you first. Do you say each morning that He is the love of your life? Does He say to you, then act like it you son of GOD. We are accepted in the beloved! Even though things may not be as safe and secure as we would like them to be,GOD is over ALL!Hide His Word in your heart so that you do not sin against Him.Remember those promises of His presence, provisions, care, protection and live in His favor and blessings looking for His hand and heart. He is faithful!

Job 16:1-19:29 allows us to overhear words and thoughts being exchanged between men on earth and men and GOD.How does this impact your concept of The LORD? Try and picture yourself as Job with his physical problems, his emotional traumas and three men evaluating, judging and counselling him, how would you charge GOD? Remember all of this is being recorded in the "books" and will be replayed one day in heaven. We get an opportunity to see how GOD takes part in the every day events of all men. What do you know for sure about GOD? What "convictions" have you decided on? If you were a friend of Job would you have pity on him? Selah.

1st Corinthians 16:1-24 This church is being reminded of their past instructions, admonished to do right in their stewardship and cautioned to be courteous to workers.Do "we"(believers of Parker County-today) have the reputation of being addicted to the ministry of the saints? If not,why not? Pay particular attention to verse22 and put this into your memory bank as a weapon verse against our Enemy. Use the word Maranatha often in your prayers. Make sure you know what it means, look it up and be expecting The Lord to come in the clouds soon, even today. Selah.

Psalm 40:1-10 could easily be related to the story about Job and his experience. How does this Psalm relate to your life? Where were you when The Lord found you and brought you to The LORD? Has the miracle of mercy and grace in salvation changed your whole being? If not,why not? Now, because of this marvellous extraction out of the pit of sin, despair and helplessness, where are you today?Does verse 8 describe your life today? If not,why not? This is a preview of the examination all/each believer will experience in giving an account of their stewardship to Jesus. Amen.

Proverbs 22:1 provokes us to think right. What do you call yourself before GOD. When you call out to The LORD, how do you tell Him who is calling. You do that every day in your phone calls when you identify yourself Hey, this me, may not be enough. pj
August 24th Sunday is here and we get to go to SS and Church. Hope you were on time and ready for The LORD to do you a favor and bless you with wisdom, knowledge, blessings and joy for being in His presence.Did you get what you expected?

Proverbs 21:30-31 reminds us of our foolishness if we think we can outrun or outsmart The LORD. Take time to look at Proverbs 3:4-10 and then apply this truth.

Psalm 39:1-13 causes us to consider our ways and points us to GOD in v7. Where is your hope? Is your heart on fire for GOD and His ways?Have you ask The LORD to hear your prayers, are they in agreement with those of Jesus Christ our Mediator? Selah.

1st Corinthians 15:29-58 begs the question"Have you been changed from the earthly to the spiritual?" If not,why not?One day the mystery of life after death will happen, and it will be tooooo late to ask to be forgiven and born again. These verses are of great encouragement to believers who KNOW that GOD receives believers only into His presence and they are waiting for the trump to sound. Yea, We are Christ's and He is coming to get us in the clouds and to present us to The Father in heaven. Amen.

Job 12:1-15:35 allows us to observe the interaction of Job and some of his friends. As we read,we need to see how Job and his friends express their understanding and concept of GOD. Pay attention to who these men are speaking to, oft times they are relating to The LORD their comments and or complaints. Watch for these comments an look for GOD's response. There are many good questions asked by Job, for example v14:14. Bear in mind that having things is not the cause of sin, for men sin because they are sinners by nature, thoughts and deeds. When we have an opportunity to serve as confidants and counsellors we must be good hearers of the complaint and careful givers of advice. Is our wisdom of the earth or from above? Let us be slow to speak, slow to wrath/judgment and fast to hear and love the one that is wounded. Let us be as the Samaritan, good. Yes,get the mote out, but 1st get the beam from our own eye.pj

Saturday, August 22, 2009

August 23rd This is a much better day than yesterday. There is food, any choice of drinks and no imposed restrictions by any medical technician. I still think I am healthy and wait for the opportunity for the professionals to read all the films and agree with me. Yea! I am a believer. If some serious misfortune hit you today, what type of friends do you want to visit and comfort you? Read to know Him and believe that He is watching over you regardless of your circumstances. He loves you!!!

Psalm 37:29-40 proves to us that GOD's Truth is applicable then, now and for all tomorrows. His promises are real and sure, yet there are conditions. We can look back and see their application to all men, from Adam, Moses, Solomon, Job and you and me.We should learn to trust GOD and rest in His arms. Selah.

PROVERBS 21:27 ASSURES US THAT THE LORD PAYS ATTENTION TO THE WAY OF THE SAVED AND THE WAY OF THE UNBELIEVERS. For additional encouragement look at Psalm 1. Selah.

1st Corinthians 14:18-40 We must remember that the vessel must be clean to be used by GOD and what He puts in the vessel is more important that the vessel. We must strive to honor The LORD by our conversation/life style. It is best that the husband teach the wife and the children the Bible. It is a shame for a believer(husband and or father) to neglect his responsibility to know GOD and His Truths and give that over to another man(pastor, teacher, youth minister) to teach his own family. We come together as believers in the SS and Church to be edified. We go out to minister. We, as men, are to love our wife a Jesus loved the Church, and to teach her all we know about The LORD and His Word. Older men ought to teach younger men. We are His disciples. We have all The Truth, all of The Holy Spirit and every opportunity to read to know Him. Now let all things be done decently and in order.

Job 4:1-7:21 May I suggest you color code the verses with each speakers. This helps me to separate who is speaking and to evaluate the application. We have overheard the heavenly exchanges between GOD and Satan, now we get to listen to the horizontal exchange between men who are referred to as friends. Try to maintain the picture of where Job is and his physical condition and then what self imposed ritual his friends went through before they spake to him.We we visit a person in distress, we need to be good patient hearers of their complaint. When we speak(judge) we need to be careful in relating circumstances to sin. Not all sickness/distress is caused directly by that person's activity. We need to hear what GOD is doing and look for His involvement in this dire set of circumstances. We have the benefit of knowing the heavenly conversation, Job and his friends did not have this knowledge.Pay attention to how these men refer to GOD.How does this reading affect your concept of GOD?Look at v7:17,18 and determine it's application in your life.Scars may be the evidence of sins forgiven or they may be from accidents and misfortunes. We are not ignorant. pj ** Get ready for tomorrow today, read up and be on time.

Friday, August 21, 2009

August 21st, Friday and Sunday is coming! What a beautiful sound to wake up to, thunder and rain on the tin roof of our patio. Thank The LORD for His watch care, provisions and protection. May I suggest that you not take your health for granite. May I suggest that an ounce of prevention may prevent a pound of cure, medicine, exams and follow-up procedures. I am grateful for Doctors, but... Hope you are reading to know Him. We will be reading about Job from today through 1 Sept. Put your imagination on full blast and not only listen to the exchange between Job and his "friends", but HEAR what The LORD is saying about Himself. You will have an excellent opportunity to deepen your love of and for GOD plus better understand His attributes causing your concept of GOD to be more defined. WOW!! Read to know Him.

Psalm 37:12-28 continues to show us The LORD and His faithfulness. Meditate on v18 and try an understand His expectations for us via His promises and provisions. As you read let your memory recall other promises GOD has made and then accept the fact that The LORD wants to be delighted in you. He expects all of us to be obedient.

Proverbs 21:25-26 reminds us of Haman in the book of Esther and also the victory of truth when GOD's children obey. You cannot separate love from obedience. Selah.

1st Corinthians 14:1-17 What does the idea of "follow after" cause you to do? Have you decided that you will give away all the charity you have? How do you hear instructions? Have you just been stirred up or have you been changed? When we speak to others, what is our tone, motive, message and intent?Do we consider that we are speaking for The LORD? If we are not edifying others, what are we doing? Let us stop and seek the leadership of The Holy Spirit, even before we pray or speak. Amen.

Job 1:-3:26 Read and enjoy this account of The Creator GOD, Satan, circumstances and God's creation, man.We get to overhear heavenly communications and exchanges between GOD and Satan concerning the people of the world. We get to ask the question"where is GOD?", and we get to reply ,"He is no where" or He is now here!" How do you relate to Job? What is GOD's testimony of your life? What kind of reputation do you strive for before The LORD and man? We are a blot, blemish or a blessing. Look for the attributes of GOD and see how they have been present in your own life. Man is accountable for all his thoughts, intents, words, acts and conduct before The True, Holy, Just, All Seeing, All Knowing, Ever Present, Loving heavenly Father who judges all men. We will have an excellent opportunity to refine our concept of GOD and align our goals and priorities as we read to know Him in the book of Job. Amen. Make notes and separate who is talking. Seek the leadership of The Holy Spirit. pj

August 20th What a great day to be happy in The LORD and be filled with Joy. This could be the first day for ever to be with The LORD.The next time you go on a trip, try to imagine it is a one way trip and you are not coming back. How would you go about putting things in order? Is there anyone you would call or make right an issue before departing. What guarantee do you have of tomorrow? Be and do your best today.

Proverbs 21:23-24 Mordecai may have read this proverb, but if he did not the truth presented has an application to what we have been reading in the book of Esther. What truth or application did you gain by your reading today?Pride is a deal breaker.

Esther 8:1-10:3 records the salvation of the Jewish people in 127 provinces from India to Ethiopia. What role did Mordecai portray in this adventure? The hard question is "is it good news if it is too late?" We also read about converts, people who became Jews, who did so because of the fear of the people, perhaps not GOD. Today people seek relief without repentance. What attributes of The LORD did you find in this reading today? Read to know Him. Amen.

1st Corinthians 12:27-13:13 Do you believe v27? How do you act and react as a part of the local church? Did The LORD put you into your church? We need to be careful as "members" to not be envious nor jealous of another member's talents, position or title. We also need to be humble and not think too highly of ourselves when we are set aside for a position or work. There in ONE Lord!We need to guard against putting people on pedestals of even putting ourselves up to an elevated place. We are what we are by the grace of GOD.How much charity is present in your life? Is it a good thing to be charity "poor" because you/we have given it all away? We are no longer babes in Christ so we ought to be able to be right, do right, and prefer others being Christ like.Put a "charity" check list on your mirror and start the day with the intention of having a charity lifestyle that day. Selah. Amen.

Psalm 37:1-11 This chapter can be one of the most influential chapters you will ever read. We have read it twice this year. How have these these changed your life? Look at the verbs and consider them as benchmarks for daily living. If you want to encourage yourself consider reading Psalm 37 and the 73. The next day read Psalm 73 then 37. Keep these numbers as references and mark them as solid advice for Joy. pj

August 19th If you want to think of the old days, look at the history recorded years ago today. Where was the cell phone, Internet, automobile, credit cards, television, electric toys/gadgets, space travel, local church and The Bible? Now consider what you expect to have or even need in 100 years. Every person will be either still here on earth,or in Hell or Heaven. With what you have at your disposal today, what preparations have you made for eternity.100 years from today, yea even right now there are no atheist in Hell, nor unbelievers in Heaven.Yea or nay, no other way!

Ether 4:1-7:10 Declares to us that GOD is working for our good and His glory. We observe how people go from sight to faith to sight in these verses.Faith demonstrated is believing and acting out truth. What part of your life, goals, dreams, ambitions and expectations is The LORD your Hope?It is GOD that holds the hearts of men, be it a beggar, prince or king. Stewardship is evident in that believers act out well with the gifts and talents that GOD has given them. Please read Psalm 62:5 and compare that, these verses and your hopes.Pride and presumptuous sins always cause hurt. Haman wanted his most hated enemy to hang upon the gallows in his back yard, and sure enough he did.As you read v7:10 a greater truth is revealed in that one day the King's wrath will be pacified, but That King will be GOD and all those who failed to believe will be cast into the lake of fire. Oh ME!

1st Corinthians 12:1-26 speaks of evidence of faith acted out by believers in the church. We have difficulty separating items of unity versus uniformity. It is OK to be different! Get in step! Don't just listen to the music, hear the music. Why does it hurt so much if we let someone else go first? Do you sense that you are in The Family? There is only one Father and our Elder Brother is the first born and v6-7 makes clear the work of The Holy Spirit in our lives. What a blessing to understand the triunity of GOD. Dear LORD for Jesus sake cause us to stop comparing our things to others and to focus upon The Lord Jesus Christ. Cause us to understand that it is not GOD's will to have schisms in the body/church.Teach us honesty and humility.

Psalm 36:1-12 It would appear that this Psalm might apply to and describe Haman from today's reading in Esther. What did you learn about The LORD? He is no respecter of persons.Did you see any traits or promises? Selah. Read to know Him. Be and do right.

Proverbs 21:21-22 Do you have life? How did you get it? Do you honor the Lord Jesus Christ because of His mercy and righteousness? Does GOD, The Father consider you wise?It is a truth, busy people get called on to serve. What are you doing for GOD? pj
PS Hope to see you, my brother, in church tonight.

August 18th A red letter day for our family in that our first grandson was born 18 years ago today.Thank The LORD for a safe, secure and successful delivery. Thank The LORD for all these days and night that we have enjoyed Michael in our midst. I am thankful for his father, mother and lil sister. They are The Fish family!I wish that all fathers and mothers enjoyed their daughter,son,son-in-law, daughter-in-law and grandchildren as much as we do when they call us to just to talk. How is your prayer life? No one needs to shout Abba.

Esther 1:1-3:15 What a story of family feuds, abusive lifestyle, intrigue, rebellion, right versus wrong and liberation for women. How does this story impact your concept of GOD?We must try to see the hand and heart of The LORD in our daily Bible reading.Do you see any similarity of this lifestyle in our society today? What does that tell you about GOD?Is there any sin recorded that you see and have decided that you want to avoid that type of life style? Is there any good conduct that you noted and want to incorporate into your lifestyle? We need to learn from these examples.

1st Corinthians 11:17-34 We get to see that either these people were taught wrong about their conduct in the church or they chose to be offensive to GOD knowingly in error. What is your attitude when The Communion Service is announced? Do you take time to prepare yourself at home, emotionally, physically and spiritually before you arrive at the service? If a person is saved and wants to be obedient to The LORD as they show respect and reverence for The Lord, they will be prepared. Believers should know how to act in the church, without being told, because they have read and know the Word of their GOD.We are stewards of the Truth that we have received.

Psalm 35:17-28 Is The LORD magnified in and by your life? If not, why not? We see in v20 the proof that the matters discovered in the palace at Shushan were noted by GOD. What attributes of GOD do you see in this Psalm? What thanks have you given to The LORD today? When you give your testimony, who gets the praise? Selah.

Proverbs 21:19-20 Is there any evidence of oil in your house? Where do you choose to live? Is there peace, love, joy(Jesus Christ),harmony and respect in your home? If it not right in your house, fix it today. Psalm 35:28 is a good place to start. Amen. pj

August 17th. MONDAY, there were clouds in the sky this AM, and we are still here with the opportunity to represent The Lord Jesus Christ. This is the day that I normally ask the personal questions to provoke you to recall who and whose you are. These questiions will be useful as you give your testimony because you can make bold, positive and confident statements that are factual with biblical references relative to your salvation experience.Has there ben a change in your life? Have you dealt with the matter of sin? Have you seen the significance of Jesus Christ as The God-Man?Have you sought forgiveness through faith? Are you a child of GOD?>John 1:12. Have you been justified?>Romans5:1. Have you been adopted?>Ephesians1:5. Are you free from condemnation?>Romans 8:1,2.Are you the salt and light of the earth?>Matthew5:13.Are you a minister of reconciliation?>IICorinthians 5:17ff.Are you forgiven and redeemed?>Colossians1:14.Are you accepted?>Ephesians1:6. Is GOD The Father, The Lord Jesus Christ and God The Holy Spirit the love of your life? Then act like it is so.

Nehemiah 12:27-13:31 concludes the report by Nehemiah regarding his work in Jerusalem in building the wall around the city. What a man to emulate. If you have small boys in your family or grandsons, please tell this story and pray for them to surrender their life's ambition to serve GOD.We as men to set the example. To be the Tirshatha for The LORD. He was not the king, but he spoke for him because he had been given a commission to do the work. He was not a priest, yet he cooperated with Ezra and provided the opportunity to put The Word of GOD, The law of Moses, in it's rightful place. He was not a prophet, yet GOD used him to do His good will and Nehemiah was faithful to give GOD the glory. Nehemiah was a man! He prayed! He waited! He worked! He depended upon the grace, mercy and power of GOD to do the work. He loved the people, hated the enemy and made good choices.GOD was his God!Nehemiah was a man of prayer and a man of action. He cleaned house in v13:8ff. It is fascinating how he often asked The LORD to remember him and his actions as well as the actions of the enemy. Put the last sentence of the last verse of the last chapter into your prayers.I've incorporated this request into my prayer life. This proves to me that it is good to read the entire book because maybe the finest jewel is under the last rock to be moved. Read to know Him.

1st Corinthians 11:3-16 Genealogy in the Old Testament and Lordship in the New Testament. The way of GOD is BEST.If this is not clear, spend more time in prayer and ask The Holy Spirit to teach you the truth that will cause you to see The LORD more clearly. Follow Him.Read to know Him. What is the difference, respect and love?

Psalm 35:1-16 GOD is not a bully and all bullies flee from Him, so if you are confronted by a bully get behind The LORD. That is where we should be with our cross.

Proverbs 21:17-18 fun and wine for a season, then poverty.Look at Psalm 1 and see the judgment in v4,5 & 6. We all have the opportunity to make either good/best or poor/worst decisions. Be careful, gather the facts, then choose The LORD's way. pj
Put The LORD first early each day. Remember to pray for one another and for the students going to all schools and colleges. GOD is GOD!
August 16th Sunday and another gift day from The LORD.We had a good time in SS class, when everyone got there, and we were able to read together some of the Psalms. The exercise today was geared toward being a good hearer of The Word. I read some portion from Nehemiah and the requirement for the class was to identify the attributes and traits of GOD relative to His Genuineness, Greatness and Goodness. The class has been meeting since mid January and this was the 28th lesson and I sense they are growing in their ability to read to know Him better. My test criteria for my own success as a teacher is that if the students are not changed and becoming more like The Lord Jesus Christ because of my teaching, then I have failed. During my oral exam drill it appears the majority have made very positive growth and The Lord is happy with their progress. He is also expecting many great things from each student. We all must strive for holiness and being like Jesus, until He comes. Then the final exam will be in heaven and all of the books will be opened and we will give our personal accounting for our stewardship since salvation. Even so.......

Nehemiah 11:1-12:26 The final chapters are being written. The history lesson as recorded by Nehemiah are complete and all the players are noted. What have you learned about GOD by reading all these names? How would you like for your genealogy to include good words like 11:14? If Nehemiah acts as the prophet, Ezra as the priest, where is the king? Bottom line question may be do all the people of your congregation offer willingly? If not, why not? We practice stewardship daily.

1st Corinthians 10:15-11:2 The question is, have your heard and are you wise in the matters of GOD? These verses provide information so that believers can be wise, make smart godly decisions and being well informed coupled with being filled and led by The Spirit of GOD, we can walk in/at liberty. We are to be stepping stones not stumbling blocks. If you are saved, then you must accept the fact that v11:1-2 are given to remind us of our personal obligation.

Psalm 34:11-22 The invitation is open. Open your ears and hear Him calling you today. Observe v17,18,19 and 22 as promise verses. You may know about Him, but does He know you by your salvation experience? Was He(The Lord)there when you got saved?

Proverbs 21:14-16 How is your conduct? Are you a giver? If not, why not? This appears to be similar to giving alms. We owe our tithe. We give an offering after our our tithe to/through the church. When the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing and we give without recognition and reward to a needy person, then this is alms giving. This is a biblical process and priority. If we sacrifice first and yet have not been obedient, our giving is in vain.

To all the students that are going away to college, we pray they maintain their daily habit of putting GOD, The LORD first.Stewardship.Choose the BEST!!! E-mail me your prayer request. We love and respect you all. pj

August 15th is a great date to remember. Where were you1.2.4.6.10 years ago and what was your great problem and or grand blessing? We have been reading the history of the children of GOD and we complain about them not obeying GOD or for forgetting His promises and His provisions. Well, let us take a short memory exam. CAN YOU REMEMBER WHEN YOU GOT SAVED? Since your salvation experience how many days consecutively have you read and prayed first thing in the AM? Have you done all of the biding of GOD? Have we walked in His footprints as we followed Him? Have we complained about His gifts? Have we forgot Him? and had interest only in His blessings? Now, let us read today and see if we see ourselves acting very similar to those who Nehemiah and Paul labored with and prayed for.We need to learn from these ensamples. Read to know Him.

Nehemiah 9:22-10:39 and the rebuke, reproof, correction and instruction continues for the children of GOD. Have you ever prayed like this? Have you ever wanted to pray like this?Let us agree to pray that The LORD will send a man of GOD to confront the President and political leaders of the USA of their sins, our sins and speak like Nehemiah and Ezra so that we stop our rebellion and confess our sins. Our day of accountability is coming, and could be today. We are stewards of GOD's handiwork. It would be godly and wonderful if we would vow to and obey GOD.

1st Corinthians 9:20-10:14 brings us to the brink of a confession. What will you be/do for GOD?Do you really believe v13? Let us learn from these ensamples. If we try really hard to please GOD, what do we more than the Pharisees?Be right and do right.

Psalm 34:1-10 Have you blessed The LORD at all times? If not,why not? He is worthy!Have you ever asked anyone to magnify and exalt The LORD with you? Pray together. How does v7 impact your concept of GOD? Selah. Amen.

Proverbs 21:13 Stewardship, what you sow, ye shall reap, the same, more and later. How do you support benevolence? We must hear their cry and serve them. AMEN. PJ
**Hope to see you all in the AM for SS and church. Prepare to be ready and on time now.

Friday, August 14, 2009

August 14th Friday, and Sunday is coming. Are you getting excited about Sunday? If not, why not? Read to know Him, be right and then do right.Be happy and enjoy The LORD and all of His benefits, blessings and promises.

Nehemiah 9:22-10:39 Records a meeting of hungry people with the Word of GOD. How was it the last time you went to church? Note the intensity of those verses that record the manner of how the Word was proclaimed.Note the benefits assigned to the hearers of The Word.Read to know Him.This reading is a collection of snapshots of The LORD and present a "mural" of Majesty. We need to learn the meaning of the feast of tabernacles.Look at EX 23:14-;LV 23:39-;DT 16:13- to learn it's origin and purpose. This reading today ought to thrill your soul and cause you to hunger for GOD and want to worship Him.Pray to stay close to The Truth, separate yourself unto Him and pray often thanksgiving and gratefulness for your salvation. He is in us!

1st Corinthians 9:1-19 Paul asked each of us to reply to the question"What are you doing with what GOD has given you"? The problem facing all believers is that of who is winning, the flesh or The Spirit. If we are saved, then we are ministers of reconciliation, as per 2nd Corinthians 5:12-21.Stewardship.We are accountable.

Psalm 33:12-22 shows us some of the attributes of GOD.The question in v22 is, do you hope in the LORD? Blessings are linked to obedience. Do you fear GOD? Do you hope in His mercy? Fellowship follows relationship. We must be 1st then we do. Amen.

Proverbs 21:11-12 How are things in your house? Does GOD consider you wise? Has GOD instructed you in His ways? What have you done with the righteousness GOD has given you? Each person must answer these questions in order to have peace.Do it.Amen. pj
August 13th Have you ever felt like you lost the day somewhere and were so proud of yourself when you found it?Had a great time with some guys last night talking about what we had been reading in our 365 Bible. We spent time discussing "how to pray" and agreed that Nehemiah was a great warrior in the prayer closet and we wanted him to be our friend.

1st Corinthians 8:1-13 reminds us the principals for living promoted by Paul are for our application so that we might honor and please our GOD. It is not always easy to put others first, but it is best. Our Army should not have the reputation of shooting our own wounded, but we do not practice being a "Samaritan" much less a "good" Samaritan. Let us be stepping stones not stumbling blocks. Be right, do right.

Psalm 33:1-11 causes us to stop and marvel at the voice and word of GOD.WOW!!

Proverbs 21:8-10 Do you, as the man of the house, consider yourself blessed because of the tranquility in your home is because of the manners of your wife? If not, why not? She ought to respect you. She ought to sense with all her being that you love her as Christ loves the church. Work on making all things right. Amen, pj

Wednesday, August 12, 2009

August 12th is a good day to get things right and keep things in the middle of the road.Hope you have a good time getting to know GOD as you read each day and continue to grow in grace and knowledge of Him.Hope to see you in church tonight,

Nehemiah 3:15-5:13 continues the report of the repair of the wall and the gates around Jerusalem. Stay connected with the events that Ezra recorded and then you can better appreciate the restoration of the entire city. It is hard to imagine The LORD asking for His children to come and reason with Him concerning this matter. Yet we get to see again the mercy and long suffering of GOD. He touch the hearts of a band of men to do the work and they cooperated with God's appointed master builder, Nehemiah.Watch how Nehemiah prayed, and kept his hand on his sword. We need to see how men do things that please The LORD and do our best to copy their actions. Man changes, but GOD is the same. We have multiple ways to learn and know GOD. We need to care for the protection of our homes like he did the city. What picture of Jesus Christ do you see in Nehemiah? Learn from this story attributes of GOD and purpose in your heart to be/do your best, armed, praying and waiting to hear the trumpet.

1st Corinthians 7:20-40 ask for confirmation of our standing. Where are you standing? Who are you standing with and or against? We cannot be neutral. Jesus told us to abide not be astride. Who are you serving? When, how, with what, why and why not are you serving. If you are not sure, get things right and submit yourself to GOD for inspection, instruction and insertion into the war.Put a priority on putting GOD first in ALL aspects of your life.If you need clarification, read John 15 and learn what abide means to GOD. Respect, love, obey and wait.

Psalm 32:1-11 Are you blessed? Act like it is so.How many ways have you been blessed? Be careful to be thankful FIRST for HIM and then His blessings.Selah. Pay attention to the commands in v11. Note the promises and the conditions of GOD.

Proverbs 21:5-7 reminds us that honesty pays. And being diligent is smart and makes the believer to prosper. The wage of sin is death and that may be said often,be careful and hear GOD speak, watch His hands move and wait for His voice. Amen. pj
**Let us prepare to agree in prayer with The Lord Jesus Christ to the Father.

Tuesday, August 11, 2009

August 11th What a beautiful day to be in good health, in American, loving the circumstances of my life and looking forward even through tribulations to heaven.Hope you are reading daily, praying, loving the love of your life and acting like you are happy and full of joy unspeakable.

Proverbs 21:4 tells truth. All men need to respond to GOD's judgment now. Amen.

Psalm 31:19-24 reminds us of promises made by our LORD.What are you hoping for today? What are you afraid of today? Where is your hiding place? If any man is not in Jesus Christ, he is foolish, empty, fearful, condemned, helpless, but not hopeless. Jesus is the HOPE of the world. Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so.....

1st Corinthians 7:1-19 provides guidelines for adults.Parents should teach their children these truths. Saved men and women should put this practice into their lives. We read to know Him and being right (doctrine) always comes before conduct(practice) for we are saved by grace through faith, and works do follow. Amen.

Nehemiah 1:1-3:14 should cause every believer to prayerfully seek the ear and face of GOD, crying Abba, Father, caused me to care for my people like this man. If you want a role model for life and business, here he is. If you want to learn how to pray, follow this example. If you want to see The LORD in action follow the story and look for His hand and His heart. This is history(His Story). If you are concerned for our country, pray and work like it all depends on GOD and you.If you doubt that one person can make a difference, look again at Nehemiah, a slave in a far away place from home.Is there any thing too hard for GOD. NO! Let Him have His way with you. pj

Monday, August 10, 2009

August 10th It is Monday and we are still here. Are you ready for the rapture? While we are here what are we to do? When was the last time you gave your testimony to a friend? When was the last time you prayed in thanksgiving with out asking for any additional blessings? We may have lost our zeal for the Word of GOD and have lost our interest in finding one or more of those nearly 700 names of GOD.What has happened?Have we got over the fact that we are in the hand of GOD? We, as sons of GOD have eternal life and we will never be unloved nor separated from Him who died for us and took the wrath of GOD for our sins upon Himself. Do you remember? Where would you be today if you were not saved, born again and on your way to Heaven? What is The LOVE of your life?If it is The Lord, then act like it. Selah.

Ezra 8:21-9:15 Stewardship is a hard task master GOD's laws are for our benefit, however when we violate His words the consequences do come. Now where is the shame? Is there no shame when we are not caught? Is repentance linked to revival? Is confession an agreement with The Law Giver? I do not know the full ramification of this judgment as it applies to the wives and children. Sin when it is finished brings forth death. When will we learn that obedience is the best way? What will it take for us to learn from these examples that sin is not the answer? To do what they did took character, integrity and fear of Almighty GOD.

Proverbs 21:3 "To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice".What a coincidence that the conflict in Jerusalem in the time of Ezra was written about by Solomon and we get to read it in one day. Thank The LORD.

1st Corinthians 7:1-19 provides us insight as to how carnal believers act. We need to have a good concept of GOD, an understanding of Bible principals and be filled and led by The Holy Spirit in order to live right in a wrong place. It is stewardship. It is hearing truth and then obedience. The flesh is at enmity with The Spirit of GOD. JIHAD! We all have a choice, are we with GOD or with out Him. This choice is on going and we will have to be alert and sensitive to the way The LORD is leading and the other path.We are the Redeemed, let us act like it is so.

Psalm 31:19-24 reminds us about the magnificence of GOD. His promises are true and He is faithful. HE has done His part, now let us do our part and be of good courage, have hope and let Him strengthen our heart.GOD is for us! GOD is our Saviour!Amen.pj
August 9th Sunday is the best day of the week. This has been a hard day for me to get around in my right mind. I've been taking a very strong pain pill for relief of the little bitty stone that is trying to move through my body. I taught my class under influence of this medicine and Betty said I sluuuured only a few words. Hope you enjoyed your day with The Lord, your GOD. Pray that all will be OK soon.

Proverbs 21:1-2 tells us of several attributes of GOD.I hope you will spend some time thanking GOD for His kindness and gentleness toward you. Let us learn to be pliable in the hand of GOD. Read to know Him.

Psalm 313:1-8 Again the attributes of GOD are before us, please don't take them for granite. The statement in verse 1 is similar to the situation in the Book of Ezra concerning shame. When was the last time you were ashamed for your sins? Selah.

1st Corinthians 5:1-13 shares with us a real principal of separation. We must be alert to our circumstances and sensitive to the leadership of The Holy Spirit.

Ezra 8:21-9:15 Reports some drastic steps taken in order to get right with GOD. It is always personal. Get the beam out of your eye.We must be willing to admit, confess, repent, forsake, renounce AND ask for cleansing, forgiveness and restoration. Then we can believe and act like it is so. SUGGEST you look up ashamed, shame and shameful as a word study When you confess your sins do you "blush"?How do you read v9:8? If we have been called out, then we should be separate and different from the world. Watch out for who join in affinity with. Read proverbs 21:2 again. Amen pj

Saturday, August 8, 2009

August 8th, Saturday and enjoying relief from pain.I am really looking forward to Sunday. Bring someone with you to SS Class and Church. Get ready today. Call your friends and encourage them in the LORD. Would you be offended if a friend ask you if you were saved? Are you afraid to ask your friends if they are saved? Just asking. Do you remember Psalm 119:165? Look at James 4:17. Read and pray, canucme?

Proverbs 20:28-30 Yea for aging gracefully and being grey headed. How do you rate yourself in giving mercy and operating in truth? Stewardship of gifts and talents have an impact on others. These truths are ageless. Selah.

Psalm 30:1-12 How do you cry unto The LORD? Can you cry unto GOD and not be hurting? When was the last time you cried because of His mercy? Let us cry unto GOD about His kindness, provisions, faithfulness, safe keeping, blessed Hope and promises. Amen.

1st Corinthians 4:1-21 Do you have the reputation of being a fool for Christ sake? Are you faithful in your stewardship? These people are encouraged to remember truth and act like Christ has made a difference in their life. How have you been chastised by GOD for your carnality? What have you given up or forsaken to serve Christ?

Ezra 7:1-8:20 Are you impressed as to the record keeping by GOD? How far back have you traced your genealogy to see how your family has been considered children of GOD? It is good that The LORD, our Lord, our family and our neighbors see the good hand of GOD upon us. Ezra had the reputation of preparing his heart to seek the law of the LORD,(v10) and to do it, and to teach in Israel statues and judgments, now how does that example apply to you? GOD caused the enemy of the children of GOD to provide, protect and permit them to do GOD's will. How does this affect your concept of GOD? How many attributes of The LORD did you see in these verses? Is GOD particular about His servant's qualities, genealogy, understanding, obedience and attention to His laws, commandments, statues and Words? How does this affect you? pj
August 7th, we read early, got busy and then got sick. Forgive me for being tardy on the prep of the blog. The Best part of the day was speaking to the Sr High football camp players, coaches and some of the parents. Continue to pray for doors of opportunity to encourage men and women with The Gospel. Read to know Him. Amen.

Proverbs 20:26-27 reminds us to be a light. We will have great delight when we reflect His light that is in us for that purpose. We are reminded to be careful where we stand, hear the instructions from GOD and watch the way The King goes.

Psalm29:1-11 What else needs to be said? Hear the voice of The LORD! We are blessed as was Adam, Enoch, Noah and many others, yet GOD is no respecter of persons, so we also get to hear His voice.Be grateful and thankful as you pray this back to GOD.

1st Corinthians 3:5-23 reminds us about stewardship.Be careful to read this as an admonition about watching GOD more than the people of GOD.Take note of the promises and their conditions. Look for the attributes of GOD and adore Him for His care for the people in this book as well as for you and me.He has not changed!Be right,do right.Read to know Him, obey His truth promptly and share His love with others.

Ezra 5:1-6:22 I am glad there were no computers and cell phones in the days of Ezra. We get to read a letter. When was the last time you wrote a letter to a friend without the use of a machine? Can you agree with v11 and put that in your salutation portion of your hand written correspondence. It is a good exercise to write out your prayers. "Pretend" that The LORD will not answer ANY prayers that are not(pretend)handwritten, legible, all words spelled correctly and with proper punctuation.I am grateful that this is not required, but it will cause us to not be so casual with our prayers. Also, this exercise causes me to check the spelling to ensure that I am addressing the right person of The Godhead.Remember that this book is in the record book being assembled by The LORD and He takes notes on how, where, when, why and who takes part in His will being done back then as He does today for those of us who read. How does v6:11 impact your concept of GOD? GOD is Holy and we are to be Holy.pj

Thursday, August 6, 2009

August 6th Thursday, hot, humid and dry. Do you remember in 2003 it was 109 here in Weatherford? Write down in your 365 some data like that and next year, if The Lord has not yet returned, and you are still being faithful in your reading every day to know Him, so that you may see "some" of what GOD has given to you.He is faithful! Today was special, a presentation to a Jr High football camp, visit the home for troops home site to help coordinate the master gardeners support for landscaping the Wolf home and three men for discipleship tonight. YEA!My hearts desire!

We discussed the Proverbs and Psalms from 5 Aug and determined it is best to wait on The LORD, but it is hard to do in the flesh. We admitted that the natural man is not always easy to control, except when we submit to GOD our will. When we see Psalm 28:1-9 and see it requires us to cry unto The LORD, well when was the last time you cried unto The LORD? We do foolishly when we try to operate in our own strength.

1st Corinthians 2:6-3:4 There is a similar thought in this book concerning operating in the flesh, carnal verses Holy Spirit. As a saved person we have the gift of The Holy Spirit(v12)and not only are we different than the unsaved man, BUT we ought to act like we are saved and Christ like.We need to read to know Him daily, study regularly, meditate and pray without ceasing and GROW in Grace and Knowledge. Amen.

Ezra 3:1-4:24 continues the struggle of rebuilding the house of The LORD. We ought to learn to be careful who we "co-operate" with in our work for and pursuit of GOD.We do not want to think ourselves better than others, but different and that will cause us to not become unequally yoked. Watch that pride does not overcome our humility. What convictions do you have in the matter of holiness, separation, obedience and dedication to GOD?We are never alone when we are alone with GOD! Please, seek to see the hand, mind and heart of GOD and don't concentrate on the circumstances. It is not the cup, but what is in the cup. Who gets the honor, the building or the builder?Stop being carnal, but be filled with The Holy Spirit.Amen.pj

Wednesday, August 5, 2009

August 5th, What a great day for the Brett Wolf family. The "Build Brigade" raised all the walls and started the roof trusses today. The house will be provided through the Homes for Troops Organization and is a specially adapted home for our severely injured Veterans. Please pray for Brett and Kelly Wolf as they continue this painful recovery process, transition out of the military service into civilian life and start fresh, a new and different life style in a new community of strangers.WWJD?

We read early this AM and then I went to the work site for the Wolf house thinking about how to act, what does it mean to me to wait on the LORD and was I doing right, walking in my integrity and righteousness. We prayed for you that The LORD would cause you to consider His Truth and learn what it means to wait on GOD.What does it mean to let your conscience be your guide? When does it become a sin to pray? I've been taught that if GOD has made something plain and you know it, you don't need to pray, you need to obey. When I consider James 4:17 it helps me to pray.

Proverbs 20:22-23 charges us to be aware of circumstance, allow The Holy Spirit to get our attention and wait for orders. This is best! Be honest and trustworthy.

Psalm 27:8-14 concludes with the same admonition, wait on The LORD. As a parent, do you hold your children's hand when crossing an intersection? As a husband, do you hold your wife's hand when crossing the street? If not why not? Be then do right.

1st Corinthians 1:18-2:5 should impact your concept of GOD.How do you glorify your Lord? Is The LORD pleased in how you treat your Lord, His Son?Where do we get our power? What have you determined to know?Have you believed the Gospel? Have you shared your testimony, this day, this week, this month, this year, ever? If not, why not?Beg GOD for wisdom and opportunity to honor and glorify His Son. Wait and see what happens. Be diligent, prepared, ready, eager to do His will. There is a good possibility that if we don't be/do right we may become like those in Corinth.

Ezra 1;1-2:70 Read to know Him in this account of His Omniscience.Admire His book keeping skills and be assured NOTHING escapes His eyes and ears. Be amazed at The LORD's influence upon Cyrus.Let us learn to pray for those in authority regardless of our like or dislike for them.Let us focus on Him and not His.Stewardship is required of all people. How many days/years/opportunities have been allowed the Jews, as the chosen people to represent GOD to the lost and dying world, since the first celebration of the Passover in Egypt? What have we accomplished since our salvation? We all must give an account of our life, gifts, deeds, words and thoughts.Selah. pj
Start getting ready for Sunday School and Church,be on time, bring guests and show up.

Tuesday, August 4, 2009

Aug 4th Tuesday and thankful. We had a good time of prayer last evening. There is something very special about reading and praying Scripture. There were eight people present, yet we sensed the ninth person present because of His promise. We did gather in His Name!Old people, men and women, children and grandchildren and we all had perfect access to the throne of GOD,The Father, because we asked permission to enter in,in the Name of The Son Jesus, who is The Christ. We are thankful and grateful for this opportunity to intercede for our political leaders and their wives and we believe we were praying in agreement with The LORD for their salvation. We plan to do this again prior to the 12 Sep rally in Fort Worth. The next prayer meeting will be held at 10PM, space to be limited to the first 20 prepared people of prayer. Location to be determined. We expect GOD to bless Parker County and the USA.Amen.

Proverbs 20:20-21 speaks of truth and reality, there will always be consequences for our actions. This theme is in all of the verses today. Consequence, or an apparent lack of, can be misunderstood because of The LORD's mercy and this misunderstanding leads one to a bad concept of GOD. What did the fool say?

Psalm 27:1-7 encourages us to read to know Him. What do you offer to GOD? Selah.

1st Corinthians 1:-17 Paul wants to help the church and edify the saints. We will read about different kinds of problems in this church and be able to determine the cause of this division. Be careful to note the sin identified and try to trace back to what is the root problem. Be aware of the impact of flesh/carnality in the church that is not repaired promptly. We are responsible for our thoughts, actions, deeds and lack of being spiritual. Our inattention to this detail impacts others.

2nd Chronicles 35:1-36:23 records the deeds of the last men who were kings in Jerusalem prior to the destruction of the city.Take time to visualize how similar the conduct of the people and the political leaders of today are like those in this reading. What do you learn about men and GOD? What is the key factor that separates one king from another and of being called good or bad in the mind of GOD? What caused King Josiah to worship GOD?Be sensitive to the feast days and try to imagine the work associated in getting this "dinner on the grounds" accomplished. How long has it been since King Solomon had his BIG Day?(June 11th,1stKings8)Now can you determine how many kings have served in Jerusalem and how may years are covered since Solomon to Josiah? The last 22 years, six months and ten days were not very pleasant for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, this is a story with many peaks and valleys. Where are you today in your walk with The LORD. How is your fellowship with The Lord Jesus Christ? How do you see us today in these verses? Will there be a Cyrus for America? I summarized those last few verses as similar to the call of The US Marine Corps"looking for a few good men". O that a few good men would stand up today to fight for the cause of Jesus Christ. Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness, Proverbs 20:20. How is your vision? Stewardship time is coming. Read to know Him. Heed His words. Selah. Amen. pj

Monday, August 3, 2009

August 3rd It is Monday and the week is moving along, with or without us. In the process of time, time will tell how we have prepared for today and for eternity. Are you ready on a moments notice, in the blink of an eye, to give an account of your life? Saved and unsaved, all people, will give an account. We ALL are stewards! Look at Hebrews 9:27 and speak to yourself your state of preparedness. Are you in the hand of GOD?Are you accepted in the beloved?Have you asked The LORD to judge you in your righteousness according to your integrity? If not, why not? Whom do you fear the most, GOD are man? Whom do you serve the most, self or others? Do you consider yourself a "clear cut difference" from the rest of the people in your city? How do lost people see Jesus Christ in you? I'm not speaking about what type t-shirt, badge, necklace, or hat you wear; I'm talking about your "conversation".

Let us summarize today's reading as be right, do right, pray for the king's health, give GOD the glory, walk in your integrity and be grateful for GOD's blessings.

Proverbs 20:19 warns us to hear fast and speak slow and mind our own business. Amen.

Psalm 16:1-12 is a good Psalm to be prayed back to The LORD. Be right 1st!Do right, do right! Put this down as a "Goal for Life". Is this a picture of your life dream?

Romans 16:8-27 reminds us to give glory to GOD. Respect for co-workers is good. Judgement of people by their conversation and conduct is required if we are going to protect ourselves and obey GOD.If you expect to be blessed look again at Psalm 1.

2nd Chronicles 33:14-34:33 shows how laws disobeyed, GOD dishonored, brings on defeat and despair. But when The LORD is lifted up, His word read and heeded, blessings following obedience. Can you find the time when the book of the Law was hid and determine why it took so long to be found? What would be the impact in our nation's capital if a similar reenactment of this were to occur today?Consider making v34:33 as a goal for your life, family, church and state. How does this reading affect your concept of GOD? Because of what the LORD has said and promised, what have you said back and promised to GOD? He wants you to hear, believe, trust, obey, share, prosper, be happy and joyful. Look at Psalm 62:5. Amen pj

Pray for and be prepared for our class this coming Sunday. Thanks. We start at 9:45

August 2nd Sunday is here and we have a special treat, Church! Hope you are on time , read up, prayed up, ready to praise GOD and eager to be edified. Amen.

Proverbs 20:16-18 challenges us to be alert and considerate. I suggest you get godly counsel from friends, but please ask first if they are right with The LORD and able to enter into His presence with your petition. If not, take time to be right and then do right. Guard yourself. If some ask you for advice, apply the same test to yourself. Take time to be wholly Holy.

Psalm25:12-22 ask the question,"do you fear GOD"? How many promises have you applied to your life? Do you consider yourself teachable, touchable, leadable by GOD's Holy Spirit? If not, why not? Take v20 and ask the LORD to cause you to trust Him. Selah.

Romans 15:2-16:7 causes us to consider our responsibilities to GOD in prayer and to others in service. Did you pick up on any promises? Remember this letter was hand carried by Phebe two years before Paul arrived in Rome. Paul was not alone in his work and was quick to salute/recognize and applaud co-workers.What can we learn from this letter about treating others? Let us be considerate and respectful.

2nd Chronicles 32:1-33:13 demonstrates that in a national crisis, positive godly conduct based on GOD's truth will bring peace and joy. when in conflict, look up! The war by words can demoralize the troops, but strong leadership surrounded by prayer can sway the outcome. There was a saying like, bravery is fear covered by earnest prayers. It is unfortunate that blessings can be turned into curses when by our lack of appreciation, thanksgiving and humility. Pride and selfishness are sins against GOD and if they are not dealt with in remorse, repentance, confession and submission they will cause GOD to chastise.GOD will hear the prayers of any man for salvation. GOD expects His children to come to Him in humility, integrity and righteousness seeking fellowship on The LORD's terms. Read to know Him. Amen.

August 1st We are more than 1/2 way to 31 December and then we get to start again reading through The 365KJV Bible to know Him. Please mark something on each day of reading so that next year you can see how faithful The LORD has been and how much you have learned.

2nd Chronicles 30:1-31:21 records some very strong actions that were taken to get things in order. This is a process of revival. Please consider v31:20-21 as a goal for your life. You are favored as much, if not more than King Hezekiah.Be/do right.

Romans 15:1-22 reminds all saved people of the gifts and blessings of The LORD. If we are not filled with GOD's hope, joy and peace, what are we filled with?JUNK!JUNK!We are assured that GOD is not willing that any should perish. If we are saved what is attitude and actions that proves this so?What are we willing to give up that some, even our own families, might be saved? Amen.

Psalm 25:1-11 Have you asked The LORD to cleanse you and that For The Lord's sake hear your prayer? What have you ask GOD to do for you?Do you agree with v4? Selah.

Proverbs 20:13-15 Lack of sleep may be dangerous. It is not what you have that is so important, but what you do with what you got! Selah. Amen. pj See you tomorrow.
