31 DEC 10 Congrats on being faithful in your reading the 365 Bible this year.
Please note the names of GOD. Your concept of The LORD our Lord hopefully is centered on God.

Malachi declares many promises for the believer who is faithful. All of us need to look and consider the prerequisites to be blessed.

The last part of The Book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ ought to send chills up and down your spine. Two rules: Be right then Do right. Love and respect, Selah. we will start AGAIN tomorrow to read to know Him. Be true to the end. luvupj

30 Dec 10 and getting ready for Sunday.Hope you have read and enjoyed your 365 Bible this year. Please plan on starting Fresh and New on 1 Jan 2011 and purpose in your heart, by GOD's favor, to read until the rapture.

Malachi will challenge us to consider our concept of GOD. Look for the promises given because we are faithful. Look and consider how faithful The LORD has been to His people. Surely we transition from the Old to the New Testament with God's personality being exposed and His traits showing us the way to be and do.

All men, husbands and sons ought to pay attention to what God says about women as recorded in the proverbs. If you are single this description of the Godly wife should be your guide for seeking a wife so that she will be a gift to you from the Lord, then you may say, What GOD has joined together...

Pray for the new class that starts Sunday 2 Jan 11. Luvupj Selah

27 Dec 10 -- ** >> WOW! What a great day we had with the kids at Johnson East. The LORD has blessed us beyond measure and still His mercy endures for ever and is fresh and new every day.I hope all of you started Christmas Day with The Lord in His Word and then enjoyed His presence throughout the giving and receiving of gifts. Can we all say we got more than we expected?Take time to be grateful.

Spend time today as you read to know Him in Psalm 146. We often encourage you to note those verses that give you a "snap shot" of GOD. This psalm has many pics of what He is, does, preserves and will be so much as it becomes like a giant mural that displays the handiwork of GOD and focuses on Him, a self portrait.

Please pray for the coming New Year and the 365 class. There are many new people that indicated an interest to start a new life style of reading their Bible to know him. There is a larger number that signed up than I expected so arranging the class room so that eye contact and every one facing the teacher and will still promote interchange is difficult.Pray. Praise. Plead. And believe The Lord for all that we expect Him to be and do. Selah. lolpj

24 Dec 10 Merry Christmas and happy Holy Days to all of you that know Jesus as your Saviour and GOD as your heavenly Father. There are many who are not yet saved. Pray for The Lord of the harvest to cause you to have His burden for the world.

As you read to know GOD, LORD, God, and Lord and to have His mind be amazed as to His names today, particularly, The BRANCH.

Be awed by the four creatures God uses to teach truth in the proverbs. Read and obey.
I want to love you as Christ loved and loves me. We get to know HIM!!! Selah. pj

CELEBRATE THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST.

Thursday, December 23, 2010

23 Dec 10 Are you ready for the Holy Days?Keep on reading and praying for unction. We read to know Him and He shows us His ways and makes His mercy fresh and new each morning. Have you ever considered how much mercy you use and how much is never experienced? What about favor?

Don't be overcome by the types and figures in the reading today. We can become sidetracked by/when watching His and miss Him.Seek to keep your concept of GOD, God, god, LORD, Lord and lord aligned with the Scriptures.

Pray for the new class that they will seek GOD diligently to know Him. luv pj

20 Dec 10 Try to imagine what you will be doing a year from now. We are getting ready for the 2011 class for the 365 KJV Bible, starting 2 Jan 11.I plan to use the reading of today as the starting point for the year. Hopefully by now your concept of God has become more intense and bible centered. We are near the end of the prophecies of the first and last coming of Jesus to the earth.Maranatha should be on your mind and this season is causing your senses to be expecting Jesus Christ in the clouds at any moment.Even so.........come quickly!

These minor prophets are nailing the lid down for showing to us the traits, attributes and nature of our GOD and Saviour The Lord Jesus Christ. Try and find yourself in the reading of Haggai. He is an old man and for these 70 years he has dreamed of being in the city and at the temple. Now he sees how the young people are more concerned for their own than that pertaining to GOD.How about today?

I find it fascinating that we get to read today and see events that cover 3000 years. We get to read about GOD and to know how much He cared for those in Egypt, all the way to the setting up in the promised land, through all the kings of Israel and Judah, into their captivity and return. Also we get to see almost a 1000 years later a holy man being told by GOD how the end would be for the world as we know it today.GOD has made all this very plain. He loves His creation and His people! Now read John 3:16 ..so much..!

Allow the Holy Spirit to minister to your soul/inner man through this psalm and submit yourself to His divine inspection. Then pray for The Almighty GOD to know you so that you might know Him. Selah. Pray as we prepare for the new class. luv pj

If you provoked and challenged by this blog, tell someone all you know about GOD.

17 Dec 10 Yea, it is Friday and Sunday is coming.Hope you are reading, believing, praying and seeing GOD in action in and around your life.Pray for the class that will start 2 Jan that the students will be committed to The Lord first, then to one another, being faithful as they read and grow in Grace and Knowledge of The LORD!

The books of the Minor Prophets are coming daily. If you have a Halley's handbook look and link Jonah with Nahum.Jonah was about 150 years before Nahum and preached repentance. GOD's justice may appear to be slow, but IT is sure.Judgment is coming! Check your concept of GOD. Hebrews 9:27 will set things in order. The key word for me this year is "consequence".

Practice praying back the psalms. Pray for God to cause you to see Him as you see circumstances. Don't be fearful of what you read in The Revelation of Jesus Christ for we(the Saved) will be with Him when this happens.

We have used the proverbs of today for 33 years as the "checkbook" verse. Write out these verses on a post it note and read it as you write your checks. Selah. luvpj

Tuesday, December 14, 2010

14 Dec 10 a great Tuesday.During the next busy days take time to be thankful. One thing that I am grateful for is that I was not living in the days of Jonah. We that live in America need to appreciate what we have in our freedom.I am glad to be a saved child of GOD and on my way to heaven. My eyes, ears, hands and feet are not what they used to be, but I still have them.Let us take time each day to be Holy.

As you read these books written by the minor prophets, take time to look at the map of the promise land and become familiar with the time, space and distance they travelled to serve God.Use II Tim 3:16,17 as a sounding board to cause your faith to be refreshed. The concept of GOD you live by should be becoming more correct daily.

Seek GOD's leadership for your relationship>fellowship with the people you live with and serve. The proverbs demonstrate the option each person has and often reports the "consequence" of action or NO action.NO PERSON can be neutral at any time.Selah
Are you willing to hear God speak?Let us be careful and attentive to what we see, touch, read, hear and speak. As sons we are co-laborers with God. Be-Do RIGHT. luvpj

13 Dec 10 Yea for a clear cold day to observe some of the handiwork of GOD. Hope you have been reading to know GOD. If you do not have a good old(1990-2000)fashion dictionary, a Strong's concordance and a bible commentary, get them for yourself for a Christmas gift.Look up words after your reading and see what they mean.I hope to alert you this coming year to words in the bible that are often misused in our daily conversation or perhaps not used because we are not sure of their application. We can expand our vocabulary with good and true words and sayings.

The "minor" prophets are called this because of the size/volume of their words, not because they have less value/importance.

I've learned this year a good truth for me in that in reading The Book of Revelation allows me to read/hear what Jesus was saying about himself, a self portrait, while he was telling John what to write to the seven churches. We get to read to know HIM!

Be kind to someone today. Be like the Samaritan, be a good one.Selah love pj

PS: We will start Sunday 2 Jan the 365 class,at Victory Baptist Church, meeting @9:45 AM in the Family Life Center.Visitors, members and guest will be welcomed.read2know

Tuesday, November 30, 2010

30 Nov 10 We have almost finished another year. Congrats to all of you who have consistently read the KJV 365 to know Him.It has been exciting to read and my concept of GOD is becoming more proper.

Challenge yourself to finish out this year and plan to start reading Jan1st2011.Make some plan to memorize scripture his coming year.I would like to memorize Psalm119. There are 176 verses or perhaps only one(1)verse every other day.

Hope you enjoy reading Daniel. Remember to consider some verses can be taken literally and others figuratively. Keep in mind to whom this is written and study these prophecies in conjunction with The Book of Revelation of Jesus Christ. The saved will observe the reality of these visions from a front row seat in Heaven.Do you have your ticket?

Look at Psalm 119 and note how verses 90,122 and 132 are different from all other verses. What does Almighty God say about what you have read?Let your prayer life be directed by these words and allow v165 be a model for all your conservation. love pj

Friday, November 19, 2010

19 Nov 10 Hope your reading has been informative for you and that your concept of God is becoming more real and exciting. We realize this is a promise for the people of GOD, The Jews, and will be accomplished after the "Rapture" of the saints, those believers in Jesus Christ as Jehovah's only Son.We will get to see this prophesy by Ezekiel come to pass from the front row seats in Heaven. The Psalm 117:1,2 make this day more joyful, for ONE DAY this will come to pass.

James provides some wonderful insight to the provisions of God when our faith is demonstrated by works. Be very careful to not misunderstand works. We are saved by faith not works!Remember BE first then DO next! Doctrine then practice. Read to know Him then respond to the leadership of The Holy Spirit in your conversation.

We are going to DFW to welcome some of the troops who are coming home in the morning. As you raise your flag and say The Pledge of Allegiance, pray for the prosperity and safety of the men and women who are wearing the uniform and protecting this nation.

We will start the 365 Bible class as a Sunday School, 0945AM, Sunday 2 Jan 2011. If you are not involved in a class now and would like to be a part of this Bible study, please come and participate, bring friends and even lost people. This is a 52 week-year long commitment to read through the KJV Bible together and learn GOD. Selah. pj

Tuesday, November 16, 2010

16 Nov 10 Hope you have enjoyed your daily reading. If you have read through the Bible more than once, how has your concept of GOD changed this year?I truly believe that our concept of God must be ever improving and becoming more biblically correct. In our reading lately through the major prophets it is often said that the people of God as well as the unbelievers conceived a god of their own imagination. These gods had eyes but could not see,had hands but could not touch, had mouths but did not speak truth. How do you describe Almighty GOD to others? Is He your God?

Ezekiel declares the will of GOD to the people of Judah an Israel. There appears to be little fear of GOD. As Ezekiel was a sign unto the people then, he is a sign unto us today. It would behoove all of us to fear the time and day that JEHOVAH God declares that He is against us as He did Pharaoh king of Egypt in EZK 29:3. Read to know what pleases and displeases GOD then be and do right. We are the watchmen and trumpeters of today and we, who are saved and have the TRUTH must shout out the GOSPEL.One day it may be toooooo late to witness.

Hebrews tell all of us that the BEST way is Jesus Christ. We get to serve GOD by faith and wait for His return. We are favored by God.We get to prise Him daily.

Psalm 115:1 tells the will of God and verse 11 gives us the way to act.We have the great opportunity to bless The LORD our Lord for evermore. Selah.Maranatha. pj

Thursday, November 11, 2010

11 Nov 10 Happy Veterans Day to you and your family. We ought to be "more" grateful for those who have gone for us to put their life on the line that we might enjoy GOD and His blessings here.My hearts desire is that all men and women who wear the uniform of our country know GOD and His Son for salvation, and all those that do know this truth tell others before it is eternally too late.We are His watchmen!

I pray your concept of GOD is becoming more secure and vibrant. How many times have we read "The word of The LORD came unto me"? Have you assumed the role and position of being as Ezekiel and Almighty God is speaking to you personally? We must remember to focus on Him and not His.We cannot afford to allow the blessings to become a curse. Are you developing a "burden" for The Jews? Do you have a desire for someone you know, or is in your family to be saved? Are you ashamed of your lack of concern?

God tells us about Himself in the Book of Hebrews. What attributes have you ascribed to Him because of your reading this week?

Try to personalize the Psalms and Proverbs allowing them to direct your prayer life and daily conversation. Selah. Maranatha. Let me know your thoughts. pj

Tuesday, November 2, 2010

2/3 Nov 10 It has been a long day/night and now the door of change has been opened for a change in the political mix of our government. NOW, we all must begin anew to pray for the leadership that they will be saved, be obedient and be honest in their conversation before Almighty God and The United States of America.

We should not expect them to be less zealous for The Lord nor more diligent in reading The KJV Bible to know GOD than we are. We've read the plight of the disobedient Jews as recorded by Jeremiah. We must do right because we are saved.

We need to now accept the grave responsibility of being a good and true witness and we MUST warn our families, friends, neighbors and enemies of the coming judgment. Read what is said in James 4:17 and consider Maranatha. We are co-laborers with God. Selah.pj

Friday, October 29, 2010

Sat 29 Oct 10 and a great day to be a Christian! We need to pause and be grateful if we are a Christian, live in America legally, and as of today are alive and have an opportunity to tell someone about GOD,His coming judgment,His hand extended to all unbelievers for salvation from His wrath, His mercy and grace,His written testimony and how any one/every one can be saved/redeemed/adopted/forgiven/made acceptable in the beloved and on the verge of going to be with The Lord Jesus Christ TODAY!Selah.

If your heart is a little bit heavy with a burden for a loved one who you know is unsaved/lost/condemned and will be eternally separated from GOD, perhaps if you multiply that burden by thousands, you might come close to how Jeremiah felt as GOD moved on him to write the book of Lamentations. Why don't we hear much praying(privately and corporately) about confession of sins, sins, sins, sins and failures to be obedient? You must agree with me of our guilt. We want the things of God.We want the blessings of God's righteousness but we don't want to live separately and righteously. What happens when there is no vision? What happens when there is no repentance? What happens when James 4:17 is read and not believed?Pray that your concept of GOD will be more biblical than it is today because you have read to know Him.

How does Proverb 26:20 impact your conversation today? We decided it is good to bear the burden, but not good to share the secrets of others.Selah.Be changed not stirred pj

Thursday, October 28, 2010

28 Oct 10 As the day progresses I hope you have read to know GOD and He has shown you His great favor (grace) and mercy.Congrats on finishing The Book of Jeremiah.Hope your concept of The Lord is stronger and more biblical. We need to be careful and not to assume because we have done a good thing it makes God love us more than others. In prison or in the palace does not affect GOD's love for His children. Obedience is our benchmark.

Please take time and vote.We ought to show the evidence of our salvation by being a good citizen.James 4:17 is still a good daily guide for our conversation.Remember, we read to know Him, but we need to let all these sayings sink down into our hearts and then to be the light and salt we ought to be as kids of The King.

Who will go to heaven because The Lord used you to draw them to Himself? Selah. pj

PS: Take time to be grateful for the first person the LORD used to bring you to The Lord. For me it was Todd Windsor, 1976, in my office at Fort Benning,GA and he used Hebrews 9:27 to penetrate my heart. I have not been the same since and when I got saved 30 Oct 77, GOD reminded me of His favor of using Todd to touch/draw me.PTL

Tuesday, October 26, 2010

26 Oct 10 We exercised our responsibility of being good stewards and early voted today. I will not give out names, but we support a smaller government bent on tending to the peoples causes, securing our borders,an equal and flat tax, disapprove of people who do sign blindly on a binding document without reading, and most of all we like people who say the Pledge of Allegiance daily as they post our Flag and read, believe, heed and practice The Constitution.I long for the day when people in any elected office can and will clearly express "how they know that they are saved" and will use Bible verses to explain their conversion experience.

Look to the Eastern sky tomorrow at 7AM-Texas time and see if you can see the sun. If you cannot see the sun do you believe it is coming? Why? Please watch the colors change and as you are impressed, pray, praise and worship Almighty GOD, He is WORTHY!

Read to know Him. Selah. pj

Monday, October 25, 2010

25 Oct 10 This is the day we exercise our option and vote early. Every vote counts, even those that are not recorded and those who did not register or apply for a write-in ballot. If you are "saved" and live in America "legally" and do not vote, then in my opinion you are disobedient to GOD's Truth and His expressed will for mankind. How can we not pray for those elected officials? Look at James 4:17 and fess up and or just be thankful. Our light must shine to make a difference.

I pray that by reading the book recorded as Jeremiah you have opened up your mind and heart to examine your concept of Almighty GOD. Please, please do not focus on the circumstances. Focus on He who controls ALL circumstances. Repent, return, hear, heed, believe and tell others the "truth" that changed your life.

My wife and I are getting ready to celebrate our Spiritual birthday.Thirty Three(33) years ago,30 Oct 1977, we were Redeemed/Saved/Born Again/forgiven and made acceptable in The Beloved eternally and forever. This free gift, taking all of OUR SINS and putting them on The Lord Jesus Christ and imputing His righteousness to our accounts, we were made sons of God and blameless.II Corn5:17-21 became so!!!!

What about your salvation experience? Each person is responsible for the future of their soul. There are only two(2) kinds of persons/souls.Souls/persons are either saved or lost. Please let me know if you do not know your salvation condition. Please be saved before it is tooooooo late.If you want this truth,The Gospel, please contact me via "powell.johnson@sbcglobal.net" and I will share many Bible verses that will show you the way to be saved and made right and acceptable to the only True God and Redeemer and His only son, The Lord Jesus Christ, The GOD-Man. pj

Friday, October 22, 2010

22 Oct 10 Hope you are reading, hearing and heeding what the prophet Jeremiah is saying to "them" historically and to us for admonition. We get to read to know GOD!

Suggest you take a time and revisit Proverbs 25 and 26 and read the complete chapter to grasp the sense of its application in your daily conservation.

As you read the psalms, note how the character of The LORD our Lord is expressed. Pause and re-read Psalm 91:14-16,SELAH. Be grateful and thankful.

We will start a new class on Jan 2ND,2011 reading through the 365/one year KJV Bible. Each Sunday we will visit some of the key verses that we have read and focus on knowing HIM via His names, traits, characteristics, attributes and promises. I look forward to reading to know God with you. Begin to memorize II Timothy 3:16-17 and James 4:17. In love, Powell

Fri 17 Sep 10 What a grand day we have had in our life today. A super sweet time early on the patio watching the Sun arise and show off its beauty, praising The LORD for the blessings, favors and mercy that were extended yesterday and are being given today. We had lunch in Cool, visited the War Museum in Mineral Wells, shared a hot fudge sundae, did a little shopping, came home and I finished watching "The Green Beret" DVD. We hope to work the FW TEA Party on Saturday.
We are grateful to be able to see, hear, hold, read and speak the Word of GOD.Each day allows us to check our concept of GOD and ask Him to cause us to be confident in our beliefs, but not overly familiar. We were assured again today that GOD's "Plan of Salvation"is not too difficult to hear and believe when a person will read precept and line as it is written and be led by The Holy Spirit.

We find the transition from Isaiah to Galatians as seamless. Pray to be true to Truth and seek to know right from wrong. Quality is always more important than quantity.

Register to vote, get others registered to vote, know the issues and where the candidates have stood/voted and then listen and hear what they are saying. It is an offense to be an American citizen and not be registered or not to vote in every election. Even if 'one" does not vote, that vote still counts. All are Yea or nay but do not try to be neutral or lukewarm. When in doubt, seek wisdom from GOD. pj

Thu 16 Sep 10 What a great day for us several years ago when our daughter was born. We were stationed at Dahlonega,GA and serving as unit commander and Ranger instructor in the Mountain Ranger Camp. We were not saved then, but we were and have been blessed before this great event and every day since we have been favored by GOD.

Hope you are reading regularly, consistently, diligently and expecting The LORD to manifest Himself to you as He promised while you are reading to know Him. About 2800years ago the prophet Isaiah was breathed upon by Jehovah to pen the mind of GOD. We are blessed to have the true and only Word of God that has been preserved for all English speaking people, The authorized King James Version of The Holy Bible. Spend some time in 1st John 1:1-10 and II Timothy 3:16-17, then perhaps you will be more careful and have a greater appreciation of your blessings. Selah.

Be careful reading Galatians, lest we all become too familiar with these truths and miss an application for our lives today. We ought to act like Jesus. As you read Proverbs 23:15-16 how do you relate to these words in your conversation? Our heavenly Father is watching, O to make Him rejoice.Almighty GOD loves you and me. pj

Monday, September 13, 2010

Monday 13 Sep 10-What a beautiful day!!Hope you enjoy seeing The Bible come alive early each day. We have a wonderful vista from our garden and when The Sun arises out of the East, Psalm 19 shouts and says "He is coming!"Get up early and listen for the talk of GOD.
Several years ago I penned on this day "9/10th of our suffering is caused by others not thinking as much of us as we think they should." We discussed this thought again this AM and agreed that we are truly selfish. Pride is an easy old garment to slip into early each day and think much of ourselves. We confessed this and other sins and then read for today about The LORD JEHOVAH to know him. I am glad 1st John 1:1-10 is True and it makes provisions and favor for me and my family.

I ask you to evaluate your concept of GOD as you read Isaiah. Be careful to observe how The Lord describes His concept of Himself. Note how Isaiah pens his concept and then compare these to those of the people of GOD. Looking and see the evidence.

Allow the letter to the people of Corinth be a warning to you today and then apply these truths into your conversation daily. Read 13:14 and be grateful. Be careful when you choose friends. Learn the different meanings of the word, particularly as they were used by Jesus, even with Judas. Selah. Read, believe, practice and share, pj

Wednesday, September 8, 2010

Wed 8 Sep 10- What a great day! We have had 4" of rain given to refresh our garden that The Lord has placed us in to be stewards. After reading Isaiah 53:1-5 I am looking for flowers that are ,in my concept, out of place yet they were put there by Creator GOD for my pleasure.Look for Him who makes all things! Listen to the language that the heavens and the firmament declare. He wants us to know Him.

I am copying statements made by Dietrich Bonhoeffer that were printed on his book "Reflections on the Bible" ISBN 1-56563-988-X, printed Sep 2004. "I believe that the Bible alone is the answer to all our questions and that to receive an answer from it, we only need to ask with persistence and a little courage. One cannot read the Bible as we read other books. One must be ready to really ask questions. Only in this way does it open itself up to us. Only when we wait expectantly before it for the ultimate answer does it give it to us. The reason for this is simply that in the Bible it is God who speaks to us. And when it comes to God, one cannot just think things out for oneself; one must ask God. Only when we seek God does he answer."

Perhaps we ought to pause and be diligent in our reading to know Him, Selah.

Let us recall the requests made in Psalm 51 and the given code of conduct for believers. As we read Psalm 52 today, perhaps we will become more reserved and ask why God is so good to us. Wait on The Lord GOD. Pray to be careful in all your dealings with others and strive to be Christlike. Maranatha. pj

Tuesday, September 7, 2010

7 Sep 10 Hope all is well and that your pleasure is in The Lord. When we apply ourselves to read to know Him, He will cause us to be exposed to Truth.Think about finding a "weed" in your garden. How did it get there? Why do we consider this weed to be out of place? Before you pull the weed, ask GOD to show Himself in His creation so that you may admire an adore Him.Now read Isaiah 53 and see if you find an application. Let me know how you are blessed.

The Song of Solomon ought to cause each of us to reflect on what we desire the most.

Get wisdom. pj

27 June 10 Sunday, Expecting people to come to the Bible study at GCCV. Sep 7th This has been a long time coming to an end. It appears that I misjudged the level of interest to meet and study prior to playing golf.We will discontinue this study time and return to VBC and await clarification from The Lord on what He wants me to be involved with.Keep on reading and learning GOD. pj

Friday, June 25, 2010

26 June 10 Where will you be next week, next month, next year or 100 years from today? Every man will be in eternity somewhere either with GOD or in the place reserved for the Devil and his imps and the unbelievers. We have the opportunity and responsibility to invite and bring as many as we can to dinner with our GOD.Look at the word Maranatha and see the application. We need to be busy.

Hopefully your concept of God will be reinforced because you read today.Jehu is an agent for change. Beware your sins will find you out sooner or later. This action took place over a period of time as prescribed by The LORD.

It is amazing how God can make some doors to open and some to close. We all need to be prepared to suffer for the sake of The Lord Jesus. And in our dire circumstances we get to cry unto our God for salvation from those events and remember that He has never left us alone nor forsaken us.Pray for The Lord to cause you to believe. Selah
Say "Teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God". Be right then do right. love pj
25 June 10 I had a wonderful experience last evening visiting with two men seeking the will of God for their lives. It seemed as though the process expressed by Paul in 2 Timothy 2:2 was unfolding in our midst. The father has been reading the 365 Bible since 1999 and his son since 2009 and now the young wants to share the Gospel so to cause other men to be saved and then follow him as he follows The Lord.It works! I challenge you to write out your testimony starting with the day 2Corn 5:17-21 became effective in your life.

We refer to Acts 16 as the chapter of the jail house rock. We must learn that our GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all men everywhere repent to God and have faith in Jesus Christ. Have you ever asked the question "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"

Have you asked "O LORD hear my prayer"? Has He been faithful? How ought we to respond to His faithfulness? SELAH. Read to know Him. As you read, note the verbs and then tell The LORD in your prayers how you have or have not complied with what you know. Then look again at James 4:17. love,pj

Thursday, June 24, 2010

24 June 10 Thursday is a good day to rejoice and be glad. How is your reading? I often wonder why there is no fear of GOD.Does it bother you that today the media and churchy people say what is good today was bad prior to WW II? Or perhaps what is bad today was in fact true and good for us that were born before WW II.What is still the same? Don't you find comfort in the scriptures that teach about GOD and His unchanging nature and Word? Why should we worry or be anxious for any thing? FACT: God cannot nor will not change or be untrue and tell a lie.

Do you consider yourself a good steward of what GOD has put into your hands? If not why not? Have you ever been to circle city Ala? Another name for this town is found in 2 Kings 6:13.Learn the Truth taught in these chapters about GOD and cause it to impact your concept of The LORD.

Take time to check the charts and maps relating to the 1st and 2nd missionary journeys of Paul,Silas,Barnabas and John Mark.Learn a great truth; it is OK to be different.

Learn to cry unto The Lord in your supplications, but consider first singing His praises, being grateful, confessing your sins and be cleansed.Seek wisdom and get understanding today and don't be foolish. Be right then do right. pj

Wednesday, June 23, 2010

23 June 10 One of the most interesting jewel of advice I have received from my is "you always find what you are looking for at the last place you look." Ponder this truth and consider your attitude about reading the Bible to know God. We all need to be open to truth and ask for The Lord to search us and know us, then to convict, pardon, cleanse and order our steps today.

One of the test concept used by God was demonstrated by Elijah in 2Kings1 and it has the five ingredients of determination beginning at Gilgal then to Beth-el, Jericho, Jordan and Jordan again. Suggest you find the definition of these and put together this puzzle. Do you really want the power and purpose of The LORD in/on your life?

Greed will find the chink in every mans armor, ask Gehazi and his seed. How does this impact your concept of God? It is better to obey than sacrifice. Be right first then do right, do right, do right til the stars fall.

Take time to be grateful for God's mercy and grace. As you/we cry unto God let our prayers be true and pleasing unto Him who knows, hears and records all of our words as He watches our every act, deed and reaction. He is GOD,The LORD and our Lord. pj

22 June 10 Hopefully you are seeing "new things" a you read through this year The Bible to know God. Take time to enjoy God's gifts and abilities He has given you. Spend time hearing the wind, birds, trees and small things.Be amazed at how fast birds fly and how slow butterflies sway in the wind while you ponder the activities of the squirrel.Enjoy the sights and sounds and then try to imagine what it would be like to be born blind and or deaf.Be a good steward.

When you consider the first missionary journey of Barnabas and Paul consider the modes of transportation and distance travelled. As you read the letters that Paul wrote remember that the churches were hearing them for the first time and they were precious and treasured. The elders would read them to the people without given an explanation of what they thought Paul might be saying. The believed that is was good and profitable for them to pay attention to the Epistle. It was the only letter they had and it surely was handled with care and respect. Where is your letter?

Please consider the Proverbs as check points for your conduct. We are God's children and it is best if we act like we are The Kings children. Be right then do right. pj

21 June 10 Salutations to all who are fathers, those who have a father, the fatherless and those who want to be fathers. The interesting aspect of our information age tells us that there is a name for God in every language that refers to "Him" being a creator, to God being the provider but there is only ONE name of God that is The Saviour and we find this in Exodus 6 and we get to know Him as God Almighty JEHOVAH! He is The ONE GOD and LORD of ALL. We get to become His sons by faith as we receive the gift of eternal life(John 1:12) then we get to come into His presence boldly in the Name of JESUS and cry abba Father and we know that He hears and cares for us.What a great Fathers day gift that is!I appreciate your comment Mr.Aristono Nughroho and want to respond to you via e-mail. Please allow me to contact you from "powell.johnson@sbcglobal.net" soonest.Keep on reading and recording the names, traits an attributes of God so that you get to know Him.

Please note the sins of the kings of Israel and apply the last two verses 0f Psalms 139 in your devotion today.

13 May 10 Is there any body reading their 365 daily and being blessed? Hope you are spending time reading and getting to know he LORD. I'm still amazed that GOD causes the Scriptures to be illuminated as we read so that we might read, see, believe that He is real, true and has not changed since He first breathed His truth and words into the hearts and minds of holy men in time past. We are blessed.
Hope you are being favored today. pj

7 Apr 10 Wow it has hit our house and I have been overtaken with pollen. There is a lot of this going around and my Doctor said I was not contagious to others except sneezing on them or sharing food utensils. Hopefully the meds will "knock" this out pronto. I hope you are not overcome with pollen and it's side affects/effects

Betty and I read this AM and commented how the Bible described The Jews response to GOD and how the USA is so similar to the backsliding children of Jacob. They were provided all they needed for prosperity and warned of the sins that could so easily overcome them, given assurance of The LORD in His presence and His promises, AND they went and did wrong. Why,O why do we go astray from our LORD and Saviour? Let us read to know Him and prepare ourselves to be wary of Satan's devices, tricks and promises that are not good for us.

I find it amazing that what we read in both the OT and NT may be easily used to describe us today. What does it mean to you "to confess Him before others"? Read James 4:17 and then check your motive or excuse. How are your barns? Please take time to dwell in His presence and enjoy His good pleasure that is prepared for you.

Focus on GOD and His Words. Be prudent and diligent. You are never alone when you are with The LORD. Hide His word in your heart-meditate-Selah and be at peace. pj

Read to know Him!

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

6 Apr 10 Tuesday at home and being grateful for the stormy windy pollen stuff that is everywhere all at the same time, yet we do not have a violent tornado or an erupting volcano here in North Texas today.

Hope you have been blessed as you read to know Him. I am sure you are noticing names and traits of GOD that you did not see clearly last year as you read. Please read carefully Luke 11:49 and meditate on what is being said which is both history and prophecy. What is His name? What about Duet 30:20?

When I look at the proverbs for today and yesterday I make this determination that we all must be careful who we choose to be our confidants and counsellors. Consider this remark to be a wall of protection for you and "always" ask those who are giving you advice if first before they speak, if they are in Christ, are they on praying ground, and are the filled with The Holy Ghost? IF not, then take time to get right.

How do you respond to Duet29:29? How does this impact your concept of GOD? Read to know Him and seek Him early, daily and diligently. Be right and do right. Selah. pj

Who have you invited to read along with you? If I may be of any assistance to you concerning the 365 system, please contact me through e-mail. Focus on The LORD.

Thursday, April 1, 2010

*Please forgive my improper use of a correctly spelled word yesterday.(made/make)
1 Apr 10 What a wonderful day to read. I am grateful for eyes to see, ears to hear, a mind to ponder the wonders of GOD, a heart to believe, hands to hold the Word of Life, lips to speak His name and say out loud His Scriptures, feet to walk in His creation and a future so grand that I cannot understand what all is in store for those of us who have received Him by faith unto salvation and are not in condemnation nor under His wrath, but that we are sons of GOD,Maranatha.

Perhaps if we took the best of care for the pets and animals around us The LORD might see us givers of tender mercies to those that do not have the opportunity to be saved. Then how should we treat those created in the image of GOD? Be right then do right regardless of conditions. Putting others first is best, yet it is not always easy. There are not many American Christians suffering unto blood for Jesus sake.

Spend some time and "Selah" Psalm 73. If you want a companion psalm then link to Psalm 37. Focus on GOD and not circumstances. Consider Luke 9:50 and let these affect your concept of GOD. Best advice may be in v9:44,read to know Him.

The Law is our taskmaster but The LORD our Lord is The saviour!Focus on Him. pj

31 Mar 10 I've missed preparing the blog. Hope you are reading each day to know Him. Some of you have make strong comments about your experience of reading through for the second time, like it is easier to understand and your appreciation for The LORD has increased.

We are almost through with the Book of Deuteronomy and at the end of Mose's life. How many times has GOD reminded the children of Israel about His commandments, laws, statues, promises and prophecies of what will happen if they disobey? How many times has GOD been true and faithful to provide for and protect the Jews? How has this affected your concept of The LORD?

We are getting ready for the climax of the Book of Luke. As we get ready to celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus The Christ of GOD at this season called Easter we ought to read more slowly this third account of the scriptures prepared by GOD. He is taking our place! He is in us and we are in Him!Grasp the truth of what has happened and focus on the truth that we are already there in Heaven,NOW!We will fly away or we will lay it down-FACT-we will see Him with our own eyes, 1-0-1,Maranatha. Who is going with you? See you in the air. pj

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

2 Mar 10 Hopefully you will vote today.Hopefully it will an honest election. We must pray for those who represent us in our government. We ALL need to be involved, For me I have established two standards for those in public service. They must read, believe and practice the KJV Bible AND they must follow the Constitution of The United States of America, these are my personal convictions. What are yours?

Please consider the comments that I make each day ONLY after you have read yourself. My hope is to share what impacts my thought after my reading and these are made to provoke you to seek Unction and to study.

Leviticus 25:47-27:13 Please note the "I will" of the LORD and look for the connecting conditions

Keep on reading, we will be away for some days. Read to know him and seek Him early and diligently every day. Pray for those you love and those you don't and be willing to forgive those who have,in your opinion, don't ask or expect forgiveness.
How or why do you/we pray for divine intervention,Holy Spirit leadership and not be willing to be all The LORD wants us to be for His glory? Love the people. pj
1 Mar 10 It is always good to get an "OK" from your doctor after surgery and pathology report.I wish we/I sought the "OK" from our/my Lord early each morning before we start the day so that we get to enjoy His presence and leadership.Do you have any obstacles in your prayer life?Take time to visit Isa59:1-2,1stJohn 1:1-10 and see reality. We are walking on Holy ground and speaking to GOD Almighty.

Leviticus 24:1-25:46 Stewardship is important to GOD. It is GOD who sets the standards, observes and judges the giver 1st and then the gift.He hears everything we speak, utter and even think and being causal with GOD and his near 700 names is as to blaspheme GOD.We ought to be grateful for His mercy. It is is the book of our life.

Mark 10:13-31 we need to learn these lesson and hear what is being said, read to know Him.What do you call Jesus? How many of GOD's commandments and statues have you kept?Is there any thing you lack?Where is your cross?Look at v30 and consider what you have today because Jesus saved you.We have The Blessed Hope,Maranatha.

Psalm 44:8-26 How do we boast all the day long? There is nothing hid from The LORD.

Proverbs 10:20-21 We ought to be feeding someone today the truth.Even if we do not like them that are without the family of GOD, we must tell them The Gospel. pj
28 Feb 10 Let us be considerate of those without the family of GOD,pray and speak to them as friends.By The LORD's grace show that you care enough to ask about their preparation for eternity.Ask GOD to prepare the "soil" of their heart so that it might be as seemingly good soil and it will be able to receive the seed being sown.

Leviticus 22:21-23:44 Let us learn to be careful in our stewardship when we are giving our offerings and seek that they be perfect as recorded in v21. Why do we keep GOD's commandments? Do we separate our obedience from our love?Let us be mindful of the difference between our relationship (permanent/eternal) with GOD by our salvation and our fellowship with The LORD our Lord in our daily obedience.Let us be thankful that Jesus is our Saviour and now we do not observe these feasts as did the Jews, but we get to enjoy His presence continually in His Holy Spirit.

Mark 9:30-10:12 Seek to learn by this object lesson being taught by Jesus.Read to know Him and focus on GOD and not the child. If we are focused on The LORD then we will not be consumed by how other men do or do not do what we do.What significance do you see in the phrase "Where the worm dieth not,and the fire is not quenched." because it is spoken by Jesus these three times? Are you salty in GOD's eyes? Yea for marriage. Truly the world would be a better place if men and women were joined together by GOD in their marriage.

Psalm 44:1-7 YEA! GOD! Let some one know how you live because of what great favor He has bestowed on you and yours.Excuse me,are you sure that you are saved? Act like it.

Proverbs 10:19 Let us be led by The Holy Spirit and be wise today. Selah. pj

Friday, February 26, 2010

27 Feb 10 Saturday and great weather for a picnic. When was the last time you just relaxed and enjoyed the life and circumstance that GOD has provided for you?Stewardship could be defined as taking care of business.Putting things in order and watching out for the BEST way for things to happen. When we trust and obey The LORD and His Word,as per The Holy Spirit,we are happy, most content and honoring GOD.

Leviticus 20:22-22:20 Tells about separation, sanctification dedication and obedience. We must,as they were to be, be alert to our circumstances and judge properly and promptly the difference between good/clean and bad/unclean.Then we all should/ought/must CHOOSE the best. Please let v26 dominate your thinking for a season.GOD has chosen you!Be Holy. Now do you and I consider this as a suggestion or a commandment? Why do we read our Bible? Please re-visit James 4:17.Be ye separate.

Mark 9:1-29 There are some things we read that cause us to be amazed at GOD's power and His Omniscience and Omnipresence.Focus on GOD. When we do not put The LORD our Lord FIRST we are like the powerless disciples.Oh to be separated wholly unto GOD.

Psalm 43:1-5 We need mercy and grace and we must seek these from The LORD alone. In all of our trials/test or temptations we best seek GOD first and early diligently.

Proverbs 10:18 Seek to be honest with The LORD. Amen. We represent GOD to others. pj
26 Feb 10 Friday and Sunday is coming. Are you getting ready to be blessed and to be a blessing? Read to know Him and then obey the Truth that has been illumined unto you this day.Why do you read your 365 KJV Bible?

Leviticus 19:1-20:21 Do you "really" believe that GOD,The LORD,your Lord expects you to be HOLY? Do you consider yourself wholly(24-7-365)Holy?Does GOD? Theses are sobering thoughts for each of us.We must determine to take The Word of GOD as our LAW for life and strive to be obedient and diligently seek Him early each day. We have been taught all we need to know in order to be right and do right.Look at v19:37and let this be the guide for your choices daily.

Mark 8:10-38 What does it mean to be called? What does it mean to be under The Lordship of Jesus? Is it "really" necessary to be fully committed and take up your cross daily? Are we ashamed our Saviour if we do not witness to everybody each day and do not obey every scripture? Each of us must choose to obey. Let us consider that the commandments of GOD are not grievous and every thing we are called to be or do The LORD gives to us what He requires and also provides a way to do His will.

Psalm 42:1-11 Do you ever pray"Lord,I would like to be like that psalmist"?GOD wants us to be desirous of Him and His company.Spend time remembering what He has done to and for you and yours.Practice being humble, grateful and thankful, even for the water.

Proverbs 10:17 Listen to what you are reading and seek to know Him.Jesus said the way would be narrow and that He would never forsake us. Selah. Be teachable. pj
25 Feb 10 Thank The LORD for a wonderful day to be alive, living the good life, having much more than most, secure in our salvation, confident of our eternal home and expecting today to be the day that Jesus comes in the clouds and takes us HOME.What have you forsaken and given up for your salvation? We need to be careful and reply, just"all my sins".We are sons of GOD, now let us act like we are.

Leviticus 16:29-18:30 As you read to know Him, what does it mean to you"this shall be a statue for ever unto you"? How does the picture of atonement as demonstrated in the reading today impact your concept of GOD? Does your relationship and fellowship standing change day by day? What has The LORD done for you?

Mark 7:1-23 even today there are many religious people watching Christians and probably judging GOD and Jesus Christ by "our" daily conversation.Let us be mindful of first being right and then,by GOD's "GRACE" let us be doing right for the glory of GOD. Please learn the lesson being taught that we are The LORD's co-laborers. Check your heart's condition as often as you do your speedometer while driving through a school speed zone.Be careful, but keep on driving.

Psalm 41:1-13 Did you rejoice as you read today? If not,why not? Are you blessed? How has GOD favored you? Where did you get your integrity? Who is your friend?Selah

Proverbs 10:15-16 Seek GOD's wisdom and be led by His Holy Spirit and Word.Amen. pj

Wednesday, February 24, 2010

24 Feb 10 What a beautiful sun rise this AM.We may expect 4-6 more weeks of winter type weather, but each day is a new beginning. Do you ever wonder what our world looks like for GOD's point of view.I'm glad He is Omniscient.

Leviticus 15:1-16:28 Seek understanding the application to you life today of v31"Thus shall ye separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness;that they die not in their uncleanness, when they defile my tabernacle that is among them." What does The LORD require of His children?Where is the "tabernacle of GOD" today? Who is the tabernacle today? How does our tabernacle get unclean? We must have respect for Him and His laws because we are saved.Where is your scapegoat?Do what The LORD has said, fear and respect GOD, obey and believe so that He will favor you, because you are not your own, we have been bought.Jesus has made reconciliation once for all mankind.

Mark 7:1-23 records how the legalistic sect of the Pharisees viewed the Law of GOD, only with their lips but not with their heart. It is easy to read and not comply with nor obey truth. How is your trust factor today?Read to know Him.There is a BIG difference between tradition of men and Biblical convictions. Which do you follow?

Psalm 40:11-17 We have been taken out of the pit sin and brought into the presence of GOD Almighty-FACT, now we ought to act like we sons of GOD.He thinks about you!

Proverbs 10:13-14 our speech does indicate who we are.Let us agree to use our two lips to control our one tongue for the Glory of GOD.Submit to His leadership. pj
23 Feb 10 What is the best thing to do on Tuesday when it is snowing, cold and you need to wait for the plumber to show up? Go burn trash limbs and cuttings is my thoughts.Yea to stand up wind to smoke and watch the trim work be consumed by fire. Coffee and cinnamon toast sure do make the day go better. And when the plumber does arrive, do his work, charge a fair fee and leave the work area clean we feel really blessed. How was your morning? Read to know Him and He will make all things right.

Leviticus 14:1-57 records the law concerning the leper. There are many snap shots to be made as we read and learn about the leper and those caring for him.If leprosy gives us a clear picture/insight to what sin is like, then we get to see ourselves being overcome and without hope being helpless, except GOD intervene in our behalf.Godliness and cleanliness are prerequisites to meeting with The LORD. This portion affords us the opportunity to be taught the law and to seek the cure.

Mark 6:30-56 shows us the accountability required to be a disciple of Jesus. This is a good pattern for our prayer life in that we tell what we have done for Him. Let us focus on Him and not our deeds. The LORD uses men to serve men and we get to see how The Lord prayed for the food.We get to see how quick men forget and focus on the things of GOD and circumstances while forgetting GOD. Let us all be careful.

Psalm 40:1-10 I try to see the unseen hand of GOD when I read this psalm. GOD favors those who believe, receive and act on truth.Let us be thankful for what we know that The LORD has done for us and anticipate His calling us home to Himself. Selah

Proverbs 10:11-12 Truth is truth.Let us learn what The LORD loves and hates and be like The Lord in all our conversation. He has made all things possible for us. Amen pj

I've lost the comment from a viewer and do not have his address to reply to why I believe That Jesus is the only GOD-man. Please, lets talk.

Monday, February 22, 2010

22 Feb 10 Perhaps we will have only 5 more Monday mornings that are near freezing this winter/spring.I am glad that The LORD is not surprised by the climate changes nor global warming. There are clouds. Look up for our Redemption draweth neigh.

Leviticus 13:1-59 demonstrates to us one of the "main"jobs of the priest. Here we see them making a judgment and setting rules for fellowship and hygiene. We should consider that as they determine the problem and give out the results that they are ALSO making intercession to GOD for their patient. It is special when we get medical treatment by a physician that he also can and will pray for the cure and treatment.Let us consider "leprosy" as a picture of sin and it's affects.Beware!!!

Mark 6:1-29 GOD allows us to see personal aspects of Jesus and His family and disciples. It would be sad to go to a family gathering and Jesus could not do mighty works because of unbelief.Yet we know that James His brother didn't get saved until after the resurrection.Every person MUST make that choice for himself.

Psalm 39:1-13 Oh that Herod had prayed and acted v1 out and not fell to the wiles of his wife and step daughter. We all are faced with choices. We must hide His Word in our heart so that we do not sin against Him.Utter v4 as a verse for sin prevention.

Proverbs 10:10 Be careful about jesting or talking out of turn. GOD is Omniscient! pj

Saturday, February 20, 2010

21 Feb 10 Sunday and I will try to be alert to my calendar and pages.Hope you are on time for SS and church, read and prayed up and prepared to be taught Truth and to be edified.Pray that The LORD will be pleased by our worship through our songs, psalms and the giving of our tithes an offerings.Go expecting to be blessed and a blessing.
I am glad that we meet on Sunday in celebration of the resurrection of Jesus who is The Christ, Saviour for all those that believe and "RECEIVE HIM" as their Lord unto The LORD.We have read and believe that Jesus is GOD in the flesh and the ONLY way to The Father.Amen.We must be born again according to the Holy Scriptures. We read to know Him who is The Way, The Truth and The Life...John 14:6 Thanks for the KJV Bible!

Leviticus 11:1-12:8 reminds us of the gifts from the days of Noah, animals for a sacrifice that The LORD provided. Stewardship is a wonderful trait of GOD.If we were to follow the dietary and sanitary laws established by GOD we would be better of and live cleaner lives.Remember to check your motive as you prepare your prayers to ensure their purity so that The LORD will have respect unto your offerings. He is HOLY

Mark 5:21-43 We read so that we may know Him and learn from the examples of others. Today is a demonstration of a possible wrong concept towards GOD.If we believe that He must come or we must touch in order for GOD to bless, then we are limiting The LORD. Be careful so as not to take a delay to your getting your prayers being answered,He may be busy and the delay should not be considered as NO.Wait on The LORD.Take v36 as your personal reply from The Lord.

Psalm 38:1-22 Hopefully you will add your amen to this psalm and add to your prayer request that The LORD be gentle as He deals with you.It is OK to pray v22. Selah

Proverbs10:8-9 How is your hearing and heeding?Do you think you are acting wisely in the matters of life? If not,why not?GOD is watching waiting and wants to be your GOD.
20 Feb 10 What a great day to be alive and looking forward to heaven. Have you seen any clouds today? Try and share your testimony with someone today. Read to know Him and remember what/where and who you used to be.Do you recall Legion?

Leviticus 9:7-10:20 shows us the way of separation, the Holy from the unholy and the unclean from the clean. NOW that we know the Truth, we ought to obey(be right then do right) and teach our little ones. We must learn the principle of stewardship and accountability. Read v10:16-20 and ask The LORD to teach you about your motive for service in spite of hardship and tragedy in your family. Focus on GOD.

Mark 4:26-5:20 teaches that we ought to be grateful for His teaching w/parables.

Psalm 37:29-40 and Proverbs should cause us to be thankful for His Truth and appreciate GOD's mercy.
I have duplicated the scriptures and evidently not properly used what we read on the 19th. Please forgive my error. Iwill try to be more careful.

Friday, February 19, 2010

19 Feb 10 Have you finished writing your salvation testimony? Each of us need to reduce our volume of words so that we can tell the story truthfully and skillfully with Scripture references in about 90 seconds.Try writing it on one side of a 3X5 card.Win a friend and then tell your new friend about your Best Friend Jesus.Every person ought to have confidence in their relationship with The LORD because of The Lord Jesus Christ. Each day you read be alert to Truth and be supple to updating your concept of The LORD.Our fellowship with GOD is vibrant and joyful because we obey Him.The indwelling Holy Spirit bears witness to our spirit that we the sons of GOD.

Leviticus 7:28-9:6 How does the hunger and thirst for "Revival" stir in your soul when you read how GOD The LORD shows up? Obedience to doing what GOD says to do and to do IT His way is the prerequisite to Glory. To do GOD's work in error is death. Let us be warned.Learn GOD's attributes and cause them to influence your concept of Him. Read to know Him. Focus on The LORD our Lord.

Mark 3:31-4:35 Hopefully you appreciate "other little ships" being mentioned because we are prospered sometimes because we are in the same storm/vicinity as others. Are you amazed and do you marvel/fear exceedingly at Jesus? How do you relate to this man called Legion? What type of sinner were you before you were saved? Has The Lord had compassion on you?Have you told your story in 10 cities/Decapolis?If not,why not?

Psalm37:12-28 What a great psalm of direction an encouragement. Does GOD see your trust in Him? He sees everything! How do you see and show your trust in His WORD?
Proverbs 10:5 There are only two classes of people. Either you are lost or you are saved. Truly the memory of the saved is blessed and we have heaven to come. Selah pj

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

18 Feb 10 If you did not have The KJV Bible what would be your anchor for your soul?If you were not saved from the wrath of GOD, what would be your goal be today for your life? I want to remind viewers that unless you are current in your reading of the KJV 365 Bible, my questions and comments will not make sense.I assure you each year that you experience reading the 365 Bible to know Him you will be blessed,if your motive in reading is to know Him and not to try and make GOD happy with you because you have or do read.Ask The Holy Spirit to cause the truths to be illumined so that you may see and hear what The LORD is saying about The Lord.

Leviticus 6:1-7:27 Sin is not satisfied by the size of or type of your offering. We need to be careful, lest we forget what saves us.Re look the conflict that was exposed in the garden area, Cain and Abel and all others.Ask yourself this question""What does Almighty GOD have respect to"?If we think our dead ox has more impact than some one's turtle dove in satisfying GOD we are in trouble.Think what transpires in the mind/heart of a man when he is convinced/convicted by The Holy Spirit that he has sinned against Holy GOD and what he goes through to get the "object to offer" and then get it to the priest and then to confess his sin and then to believe that GOD has respect to him and will accept the sacrifice and that he has been forgiven. What is your attitude about casually offering up a "1st John 1:9and hope all is well because we ask this in Jesus' name"?We sin against Holy GOD.

Mark 3:7-30 It is amazing that on this day we get to read about forgiveness of sin and what will not be forgiven.Jesus selects the 12 disciples and ordains them to be the apostles for the first church that Jesus started.

Psalm 37:1-11 describes the way to be at peace with The Father and with your brothers.Note to infinity verbs and incorporate them into your daily conversation.
Proverbs 10:3-4 declares some of GOD's traits and explains some of the promises for the believers with their conditions.Read to know Him. Amen. Selah pj

Tuesday, February 16, 2010

17 Feb 10 Hope you are in the center of GOD's will for your life today. If GOD has calmed the sea that we are in and your little ship is at rest, perhaps there are others that are there also that you do not see and they benefit because of your blessing.Perhaps we are living in the calm of someone else being blessed.Let us focus on the one who is Blessing more than the blessing itself.Ask The LORD to be gentle as He deals with you and me in His mercy.Be right and in the right place.

Leviticus uses the key words"if","when","then" and "he shall bring" to many situations that are unique to the Jewish worship during this time frame. We ought to be grateful that the same concept applies to us today, but we (if saved) have a High Priest that is ever making intercession for us and we do not make animal sacrifices. What did you learn about confessing your sin?Did you get the sense that all of our sin/sins are against GOD?Let us be thankful for 1st John 1:9 and be quick to respond to the prompting of The Holy Spirit when we sin an offend GOD.Be right with GOD through salvation and then do right as empowered by GOD and His grace.

Mark records the exciting encounter of Jesus and Levi/Matthew while he was at work. What do we learn about The Lord and His desire that all men repent and be saved? It is wonderful that we get to worship The Lord 7 days a week. How has He healed you?

Psalms/Proverbs teach us the options we are given to follow GOD or not and we get to choose. We have been taught the difference between righteousness and wickedness. We are without excuse. Thanks be unto The LORD that He provides salvation . Selah pj
16 Feb 10 What a beautiful day to be able to get up and go without tooo many coats, gloves, hats and walking with your back towards the wind.I want to be thankful. What is the difference in your reading of Exodus this year as compared to last year? Can you sense a better understanding of GOD? Has your inventory of The LORD's traits, attributes and names been reinforced and increased? Oh to have the mind of Christ. Remember we read to know Him, not to make Him happy because we read.1st be right.

I hope you read Leviticus expecting to see and hear from GOD.Our imaginations ought to be a full speed trying to see all these parts be made from raw materials, made into beautiful garments and furniture, laid out in order, inventoried and then assembled as per direction from The Master Builder.GOD's vision was understood by Moses and the people were willing to give, work and wait.GOD saw His dream come to fruition in that day and He rewarded His people by showing up and showing off!!!Now we can understand His majesty and Holiness so what better. There is none like HIM.Let us be grateful that He tells us how to approach Him with our offerings. It is not the item being offered, it is the heart of the one making the offer.Cain vs Abel. HEART!

The transition to the life of Jesus as recorded by John Mark illustrates again that GOD wants all of His creation to know Him and to respond to His Gospel.Truth in action! How much faith do we have and how do we exercise what we have? Is it enough for GOD to act in our presence and show Himself strong in our behalf? Some poor soul may be waiting for us to show up and show off that we believe GOD and His Gospel.

Psalm 35 tells us much about life and circumstances and reminds us to wait/depend upon the LORD. Proverbs 9 states some harsh conditions and what happens when men get their eyes off of The LORD and act silly and be simple. We reap what we sow. Selah pj

Please invite some of your friends to read along with you and encourage them.

15 Feb 10 YEA what a day, clouds in the sky, this could be The Day!!Are you ready and who will go with you to heaven? What have we sent forward that is useful in the construction of our mansion? We are co-laborers with The Lord Jesus. Are we adding to the success of His mission or are we a stumbling block to the Gospel?WE all must see ourselves as functional/profitable partners or not in our Father's business.

This is a great day for Moses. All of the hard work and preparation are complete. All of the parts are finished, folded and stacked for inventory and inspection. How does this affect your concept of GOD?This is stewardship out in the open and timely. This is the final preparation for the DAY.All people are involved and they are anticipating the reward for their efforts.

The key thought for us today should be that of v30,and our first and last thought ought always/every day and night to be "HOLINESS TO THE LORD".This is the ultimate!

THEN!! Can you describe your feelings as you read about"Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle".Have you ever experienced that in church? If not,why not? What have you learned about GOD? How many "first" things did you discover in your reading today?

Do some research into the life of John Mark and get some background data so that you can appreciate when and where GOD move upon this Holy Man.Practice praying back the psalm to GOD and insert names of your family.Be wise today. Be right then do right.pj

14 Feb 10 It is OK to wish you a happy valentine day.If all men would learn the proverb for today we would be better men, husbands, fathers and sons. Please pray that men be wise unto GOD.

The psalmist encourages all people to consider The LORD and all of His commandments. There are promises written for us to understand and undertake, yet we must know the preconditions lest we misunderstand and misrepresent GOD.We are blessed.

As we read the final chapters of Matthew's record we get to see in parallel the provisions made by GOD in the days of Moses for this great event. Put this in light of Genesis 3:15 and be amazed at the handiwork of GOD. We get to read to know Him.We get to hear the great commission as given to the church that is valid for us today.Imagine being in a church where the eleven disciples were the leaders.

A year's worth of work is almost complete and we are privileged to see it come to pass.We get to see the handiwork of men and women who were filled with the Spirit of GOD to do the work of preparing the tools to be used to worship The LORD.How do you see Jesus in the tabernacle and it's parts? The LORD did not require anything of the Jews that He had not given them,Stewardship. Why do we have what we have. Selah pj
13 Feb 10 Yea another day in winter's hold, snow, fog and 32* and besides this we have the Blessed Hope that might come today. It is not easy to imagine living in the North and be covered like this from Nov-Mar.What a beautiful view through the trees.Let us enjoy His handiwork and be thankful,Spring is coming in 5 more weeks.Joy!

Oh that it were every man's desire to be wise hearted before the LORD.If everything was neat, orderly and in our favor, would we choose to put GOD first? We have not been short changed by GOD.We have His True Words,Holy Spirit(if saved) and can choose to obey. What else do we need but opportunity? If we learn about Jesus through the tabernacle, what have you learned today? We need to be good stewards.

We get to see Jesus in full view crucified. How is your concept of GOD impacted by the death and burial of Jesus?Look at v27:42 and be satisfied.Do you see any doctrines that affect your life?Who is first? What scene of pity and kindness comes to your mind when Joseph took the body of Jesus down from the cross?

Psalm 34 makes a bold statement of conviction, do you agree and practice v1?Who do you love because they/some one concerned rebuked you?Does GOD think us wise? Selah pj

12 Feb 10 Oh be careful little eyes what you see,be careful little ears what you hear. This may sound childish, but it works! What are you hiding in your heart today?Have you determined how to deal with failure as quickly as you respond to success? We all face some blessings and some cursing. We need to be careful to not fall into the category of"whoso is simple, let him turn in hither".As you read to know Him ,how does this wisdom/knowledge/understanding show forth in your faith and works?

We read the psalms we hear that all is before GOD and nothing is hid from Him.How does this impact your concept of GOD?Whom do we hope in?What attributes of GOD do you focus on today?

As we read about Jesus before those who were judging and condemning Him, how does your concept of GOD deal with just and holiness?Have you related to Baraabbas?Do you really think you were that deserving of a death sentence? What do you say to "He took my place"!!!Grateful, thankful, considerate and having a sense of obligation?

Moses was a gifted man, talented and used of The LORD.Take note of the names of GOD.Consider His traits, attributes and titles. What a privilege to spend 40 days and nights with GOD.How do you handle 40 minuets a day?Let us diligently seek Him. Selah.pj
11 Feb 10 Hopefully you are enjoying reading your 365 Bible to know Him. Look at II Tim 3:16- and apply these truths into your refining process of your concept of the LORD.Why do you want to know GOD?When you pray try telling The LORD why you want to be filled and led by/with His Holy Spirit.Stop and take your time to be honest with yourself. We all need to be careful to not let circumstances cause us to sin and not put our Lord first.Consider Moses.

We are in this world but we do not have to be controlled and dominated by our enemy. We choose what we do,lest we fly off the handle and rush into a bad situation without waiting on The LORD.Make your list of obstacles in your sin life that keep you from following GOD.If you need a list contact me and I will share with you what I have found in the Bible.

Jesus has won our victory and now we need to follow our Saviour.Look at v26:23 and determine how this applies in your conversation/lifestyle. We do need to rejoice in The LORD.His advice and counsel standeth forever. We need to hear, heed, believe and obey. Please seek Him diligently, early each day and watch and wait for His Words. pj
10 Feb 10 What will it look like in October? 10 10 10 yea. What a marvelous thing is this a body.Take time to appreciate what GOD did with Adam and fast forward to where we are today.WOW!!When you read"GOD,The LORD spake unto Moses"what comes to your mind? Please note the things that occur for the first time and then let that thought linger as you continue to update your concept of GOD.Consider what private information you are privvy to and guard the secret with your life.

Has The LORD called you by name?If not,why not?Has GOD filled you with His Spirit? If not,why not?Relationship 1st, then Fellowship. Be right then do right.

Focus on GOD and His Word. Look at Matt 26:54-56 and settle the matter of how important is The Word,Psalm 138:2. Allow the truth given in this Psalm32 to calm your heart. Focus on the eternality of GOD.Hearken unto The LORD. Selah. pj
9 Feb 10 We went early this AM to let a well qualified DR ,who claims to be saved, puncture my body and extract the gall bladder because it was full of stones and not working.YEA! He did it and now I am recovering and moving slower than normal.I hope to be near full gait by Tuesday and perhaps able to play golf with limited vigor. This has not affected our reading. I appreciate GOD's mercy differently today and expect His watchcare to be the same as yesterday. It was thrilling to pray with the Dr and my wife before surgery.Psalm 23 was sweeter and very real.

It seemed to me that Jesus was the real Doctor and that The Holy Spirit was ministering through the human doctors and nurses just as though we were in the tabernacle of GOD as Moses was in our reading. We get to see how the LORD views first our relationship with Him and then what He expects of our fellowship with Him. Take time to note the "I will" of GOD.

I am fascinated by GOD's timing of the reading today. Picture what Moses was establishing and Jesus was encountering in the matter of the priest and His friend.

The psalmist shows us many attributes of GOD.The proverbs challenges us to be alert and ready to act out our beliefs, faith in action, love demonstrated. Selah. pj

Monday, February 8, 2010

8 Feb 10 Monday, clouds in the sky, this could be the day.Have you made an "asset" inventory of all of the gifts that you have received from The LORD?When we sing that song"count your blessings" what do you say? We all get our things by either working/buying, stealing or receiving them as gifts. How is your inventory list?

As you read and develop your mental picture of what the uniform was to look like that Moses was to prepare for Aaron, whom do you see?As you understand what Aaron and his sons were to do,whom do you see?Who was concealed in the Old Testament and yet revealed in the New? Learn His names and titles. What are the requirements to enter into the most Holy place?Who can/will go for you and me?We are blessed to know Him as Jesus The Christ! He is the only one who can and will stand before GOD The Father for us. Yea!

The questions asked by Jesus of those in Jerusalem are asked of us today, how did you treat the least of these?WE all are afforded the same opportunity to go,give and do.We all will be treated fairly.Have mercy upon me O LORD.It is best for us to know what GOD loves and hates and choose to be like Him. Amen. Selah. pj

PS Pray for Dr Walker tomorrow as he repairs my body and there be no complications.
7 Feb 10 Hope you had a great day in The LORD and in His house with His people your brothers and sisters. What you have read and learned at home will be reinforced by the teaching and preaching at church and you should be edified. We get give our gifts/offerings, sing psalms, songs of praise and worship GOD.

We are fortunate to have a fixed facility to go to for worship. It is not easy to pack up,haul around and put up a temporary shelter in a strange land.We get to learn about GOD and see His traits in the materials He required for the tabernacle. There is a difference between gold, silver and bronze.Search out and find the attributes of GOD in the materials in the tabernacle. This is a first for Moses and the Jews and yet everything GOD required that they have to build,He provided. What a portrait!!

Let us learn the lesson of the 10 virgins and be prepared.Let us take an inventory of our GOD given"talents"and see what we have done with His gifts and see what we have done with that we have been loaned to us for His glory.WE will also be required to give an account.

Where do you put your trust?Whom do you trust?Does He consider us trustworthy?Let us be thankful for His mercy.Wisdom, understanding and instruction or silver.Choose. pj
6 Feb 10 Hopefully you are encouraged by The LORD as you read to know Him.Please share your thoughts with others so that they maybe blessed. If you have some comments or suggestions please send them to me.Is there any body out there?

We ought to be able to be grateful that we are not required to follow the Jewish traditions of offerings and worship format. Yet sometimes we get so/too slack in our worship of The LORD that we are offensive.Let us not take getting to go to church for granite. GOD wants His people to be separate and different, just not indifferent.Read the significance of v40:8 and consider your desires.

Jesus advised His disciples about the future and these sayings apply to us today. We have the warning and should not be surprised, but there are some who do not know The LORD our Lord and we need to warn them.Let us act right and sing His praises. pj
5 Feb 10 Our position as Christians is reinforced by our daily reading of The Word of GOD and we get to know Him. We should not assume that we have tomorrow to catch up or try to make up for days wasted. We are privileged to read about the Hebrews and their journey with GOD through the wilderness.Keep in mind The LORD plans for them to get separated from Egypt, learn about Him, receive His Law,plans for the tabernacle and enter into the promise land. The LORD gives them everything they need and shows them how to make it work. What do learn about GOD?Consider v23:7-8.

Jesus warns the disciples about things to come and we need to pay attention to these warnings about the anti-Christ.Take time to refresh yourself in the difference between the rapture and The Revelation of Jesus Christ.

We should take time to give glory unto GOD.Review the attributes that you have read about so far this year.Note His names, admire His traits and adore Him.We all need to be alert to circumstances around us, but we best focus on The LORD our Lord. Selah pj
4 Feb 10 Each day we have the opportunity to observe GOD and His creation. When we sit at the table and The Word of Life is opened we ought to be amazed.Let us imagine that Almighty GOD, The LORD, He will permit us to come unto His Person and hear Him speak His laws, truth and will. Remember to develop your "snapshots" of GOD as you read and recall these when you need encouragement and confidence.

Moses records for us "The Law" so that we might know GOD.Consider these as how to respond to The LORD and His creation. Take note of the promises and conditions given that apply to us today.Stewardship principals are stated and we need to expect to be required to give an account of what we read and heed or not.

Matthew records the last days of Jesus while in Jerusalem. We get to see the priest, scribes,Pharisees, Sadducees and disciples react to His instructions. Try and place yourself in the mix of people who meet Jesus and hear Him speak v23:37-39.

Psalm 28 may introduce us to the need of knowing GOD and of having confidence that He is our Saviour.WE need to sit at His feet as sons and learn of life. Selah. pj

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

3 Feb 10 Wednesday is a good day to meet our brothers and sisters in The LORD's house to be edified, encouraged and strengthened. Hopefully you will pick up on some discipleship principals as you read to day.We read to know Him and then try to apply His ways in our daily activities. This discipleship principal has application in parent/child, husband/wife and friend to friend relationships/fellowship.

Jethro was a great teacher/mentor for Moses. The great principal is of "power down" by giving others information/wisdom/understanding=training them and THEN letting them work/apply what they have been given and taught. This is how our Lord taught His disciples. This is what we read and learn each day.Trust!!!,read Proverbs 3:5- trust!

We must learn to read, see, hear, heed, believe, obey and share truth. How can we say we love and not be honest with our closest co-laborers? GOD will ask all of us to seek Him, trust and obey. We ought not to do less.Being firm/honest is not cruel. love pj
2 Feb 10 Tuesday the third day of this week and we have clouds in the sky. This could be the day! What song do you sing to praise GOD for His mercy and grace? Let us look at the provision for GOD's protection and be attentive to His requirements in order to be blessed.

What does Exodus 15:26 require of the Jews? Does this apply to us today?Does GOD really expect His children(saved today)to be diligent and hearken to His voice, to do that what is right in His sight, to give ear to His commandments and to keep all His statutes? Each of us must choose.Look again at James 4:17.It is better to obey than to sacrifice. It is great to consider that the manna that was put into the ark in the days of Moses is still edible without worms today.Take note of the compound names of GOD as you look at His traits and attributes. Read to know Him!!

We are blessed to be able to hear and understand the parables spoken by Jesus.Where do you think the first RSVP was given/required? What is the garment required for the wedding guest and do you have yours on today? It is the "Robe of Righteousness".

Do you respond to The LORD by saying my Father? How do you tell Him about His provisions for you? What is He to you? Practice praying back the psalms and proverbs and be grateful that He has done so much for you as a son.Be right and do right. pj
1 Feb 10 Yea for Monday and Sunday is coming. As you read today and venture out into the world be careful, alert and leadable by GOD's Holy Spirit.Do you find it amusing to think of how The LORD first started daylight saving time? The Jews look for a sign, well GOD gave them those great pillars for light, protection, separation, warning, inspiration and a sense of Godly presence. What has He done for you and me today? We need a revival of appreciating GOD and His Holiness.

In time of war, stress and much anxiety we need to remember what The LORD has promised to us and rest and stand still for the battle is The LORD's. GOD provides signs so that The Hebrews could look up and He expects them to respond in obedience to His commands. Be thankful that you can see, hear, read, think and respond by faith.

Jesus knows everything and He expects us to hear His instructions and obey.Consider what you have said with what you have done. The question is, have we done what we said we would do, if He would do what He said He would do? Lord save me!What is Lordship to you?

As you pray back Psalm 26 and The Proverbs today how does your conscience respond?Do we love what GOD loves and do we hate what GOD hates? If not,why not? Selah.Amen. pj

Saturday, January 30, 2010

31 January 2010.What a great day to be saved, alive and able to go to church.Remember the difference between Beth-El and El-Beth-El. GOD is with us 24-7-365,if we are saved, and we go to church to assemble as a family to worship and praise our GOD for Him and all of His blessings by singing and giving our offerings. We get edified by the teaching and preaching so that we do the ministry given to us empowered through His Spirit and Grace. We have all of this now and heaven to come,Maranatha.

The principals being taught by Moses ought to impact our lives today. The LORD is interested in our well being and gives to us the opportunity for wisdom and understanding. We have in our hands the Perfect(True-Pure-Complete)Will of GOD.We have been warned about the wrath of GOD and we have been told about the solution to our sin problem and GOD has provided The Lamb.We should be grateful that we do not live in the time of Moses and under the Law.We are under GRACE and we should not do less than the law.

As we read to know Him we find ourselves responding to Jesus much like those who met Him. Please consider your prayer requests of the last 48 hours.Look around your house and see if you have any fig trees with leaves and no fruit.Let us examine ourselves first to see if we have been true to Him.

What do you expect to preserve you today? If it is not integrity and uprightness, what is it? Let us not be considered a naughty person in the eyes of GOD. Selah. pj
30 January 2010 Thank The LORD for all of His blessings. We are not in Egypt and under bondage. There are many sad and tragic things happening today around the world but let us focus on GOD and not the circumstances. Even knee deep in the mess we need to look up.

Moses was given a great task by GOD. Moses even knew that the heart of Pharaoh would not respond yet he obeyed GOD. What are we to learn about obedience? How does this affect our concept of The LORD? Read to know Him.Can we appreciate how GOD protects the Jews and learn that we will not suffer the wrath of GOD? The rain falls on the just and the unjust.God knows, hears and sees everything everywhere all the time. Stewardship, we will give an account of how we respond to our blessings and their cursing. He is Just and Holy.

Let us appreciate our blessing of The Lord Jesus Christ who as our lamb took our sin/sins and took the wrath of GOD so that we might believe and be saved/redeemed and converted.God is fair and will reward us for our faith and labor.

Look unto GOD and be thankful and grateful every day. What GOD does is for His name's sake. We get to be blessed.Let us be busy about our Father's business. love pj

Thursday, January 28, 2010

29 January 2010 Read to know Him and be wholly Holy.Recall Psalm 62:5 and consider what we have from GOD through The Lord Jesus Christ. As we read let us look for "first mentioned" and ask The Holy Spirit to illumine The Scriptures so that we may be able to see The LORD and that our concept of GOD is biblically correct.

Today we read about the various plagues and how the effects were not upon the Hebrews.Have you determined why they were protected? Look at v9:13.We can learn how to pray and how to believe because we have read today. These are given to us as examples. Be specific and pay attention. Be right then do right.Even when we are met with difficulties we need to focus on He that sent us and not on whom we encounter.

Jesus allows us to see His heart and handiwork so that we might grow in faith and grace.Listen to His promises and learn about the conditions. We are and are to be stewards of The Truth. As you link into Psalm 24 hopefully you are impressed with GOD and you see the connectivity of all of the scriptures.Psalm 22-23-24 tell the Gospel and prepare us to look for our Maranatha. Now my son pay attention and be right then do what, how and when The LORD directs. It is for our good-His Glory. pj
28 January 2010 Let us be grateful that we are saved, live in America, get to vote, go to church, serve GOD and others and have heaven to forward to,perhaps even today. There are clouds in the sky and we have His promise. How long has it been since you "got saved"? Are His Words and promises more real today than when you first heard ans believed? Imagine how it was for the Jews in Egypt when Moses began to tell them about GOD and their salvation that was to come.

Take time to dwell upon the names of GOD!See the different spelling in v5:22.Let the power of His names impress you as they are recorded in v6:2-8 and pay attention to the promises with their conditions. This will impact your concept of GOD.

Allow Jesus to teach you about honesty, integrity, stewardship and accountability. We have the option to hear, heed, believe and practice this teaching every day.Ponder this phrase"He that is able to receive it, let him receive it".

Read and meditate the 23rd Psalm.Accept the promises and provisions made available by GOD to each believer. We get to live with instruction and be pleasing unto GOD.love pj

Wednesday, January 27, 2010

27 January 2010 What a day for a nuclear X-Ray session of 2-3 hr duration! It is amazing to discover how marvelous our body is designed by GOD.My tech for this exam was a believer so we discussed how we were blessed and both of us were grateful for what GOD had done for Adam and that we had inherited a magnificent body.We were also grateful for doctors, medicine/dies and special machines that take pictures of our innards in action or in my case non functioning.

What a good day to read about GOD and His provisions, protection and always going before us to prepare the way for His ministry. How many miracles must GOD do in order to not only get our attention, but to keep it?God uses men to help men.

Please read how Jesus uses the little children carefully so as to not misunderstand how to be saved.Every person must choose to receive Jesus Christ as Saviour. How do these events impact your concept of GOD?Read to know Him.

Be encouraged by the psalms and proverbs and find the promise that applies to you. Note the names, title and attributes of GOD.The LORD chooses to let us know the Lord. Hope you are encouraged by the blog. Please send comments. love pj

Tuesday, January 26, 2010

26 January 2010 As you read your Bible do you sense any similarity of the events of today in our society that are like those in the days of Moses?Has GOD changed? How many laws do we overlook as we do our own thing regardless of the Word of GOD and the prompting of His Holy spirit?Read these stories and look for a personal application in your own life. Character is always in style.Have you enjoyed an experience with GOD like Moses and the burning bush? How long has it been since you "really" sought The LORD?How many promises has The LORD made to us that we have overlooked and not have not incorporated them into our life?

Hopefully you get excited about this event in Peter's life where he is told to go catch a fish with gold in his mouth so that he can pay the tax.How many attributes of GOD did you detect? How does this impact your concept of GOD?

Psalm 22-23-24 should be read as a trilogy.Take time to be amazed by GOD.Capture these snapshots and cause them to thrill you in days to come.Pay attention to the proverbs and do not depart from them.Ponder v14 and be careful. love pj
25 January 2010 The common affect upon all men since the sin by Adam in the garden is death.Look at Hebrews 9:27 and see how it is best to prepare for eternity and not be caught/surprised, for only GOD knows the hour of our last breath.Reading about Jacob and his family should cause us to make preparations soonest.Look for the best qualities in Joseph's life ans see if you have those same attributes.Look at Jesus Christ and see how you are most like Him.
Consider all the acts in the lives of the sons of Jacob/Israel, but do not forget the provisions that GOD makes for Judah and the lineage of Jesus. Now we get to see the men of Levi work for GOD and realize this will be demonstrated in the division of the land by Joshua.

Do you consider yourself a disciple of Jesus Christ?Do you practice His instructions? How do you share your testimony with others? How are you being used to cause men and women to be saved and follow The Lord? What has He told you that you have told no man?

How many promises do you get from these psalms? How do you pray back the psalms to The LORD?Do you pay attention to your Father's advice?Do you trust GOD?Act like it.pj
24 January 2010 Are you reading these thoughts and do they cause you to pause and ask why,how or when?Read to know Him and meditate on the Truth. What did GOD do for Joseph that He has not done for you?Don't focus on the creation or circumstance, but focus on The LORD.All of us have a testimony before men and GOD.All of us need to make preparations for those last days that may overtake us instead of the rapture. Do you have a will?

We need to be alert to the miracles going on around us daily.Remember GOD uses men to serve men. We read about the miracle of feeding the 4000 men and realize there was a need. How do you sense and relate to Jesus having compassion on these people? We need to think on the eternal and not stay in the now and temporary. We have the Word of GOD so that we may know Him and His doctrine.

Are you rejoicing in your salvation? Are you attending to His Words? If not, why not?We need to be alert and inclined unto The LORD. Practice holiness/sanctification. pj

Saturday, January 23, 2010

23 January 2010 We still need to be careful as we read so that we don't miss the names changes like those in 46:1-6 of Jacob and Israel. Israel is generally considered to refer to the believing Jew that started back with the creek side encounter of Jacob with Jesus as an angel. Joseph demonstrates so many good pictures of Christ. As you make these snapshots they will solidify your concept of GOD.

Jesus teaches many truths that we get to see in action today. A good tree can/will only produce good fruit. It is a good thing to keep your heart soft to the leadership of The Holy Spirit as He works through The Word of GOD and they never contradict one another. How great is your faith?

When we see GOD at work in His creation we ought to declare His glory and pray with thanksgiving. Is your fear clean? Sing Psalm 19 and joy in The LORD.Be careful how and where you walk, stand and sit.Re visit Psalm 1.Walk in His light. Be/do right. pj
22 January 2010 Consider that wisdom is better than vision and life better than death. Stewardship is the main thing! We should not try to separate love and obedience from our adoration of The LORD.Do you remember what GOD magnified above all of His Names?Look at Psalm 138:2 and meditate on that truth.

We get to see and understand the interaction of Judah and Joseph picturing the types of Jesus to come.Think about the lineage of Christ.Read 45:5(Grace)and try and grasp what GOD was saying and would be doing for His creation, you and me.You might add many of these verses as promise verse of what The LORD will do for His own.

We pick up the same type of pictures as Jesus speaks concerning the multitude, GOD has compassion on them and us.Stewardship is demonstrated again by getting from God and giving to men to serve men for their good and GOD's glory.

The psalmist teaches stewardship in v35-50 and we need to apply these principals in our daily conversation. We "Must" need take fast hold on these sayings. love pj
21 January 2010 Hopefully you are even more fascinated by GOD this year as you read through your Bible to know Him.Keep posting notes and snapshots of The LORD in your daily reading journal.Apply the simple admonition of Joseph"This do, and live; for I fear GOD". Has your fear of GOD changed any since you got saved?Carefully attend to the action of Joseph as you compare them with the deeds of Judah, for we are seeing GOD preserve His lineage for Jesus.

Focus on The LORD and not the circumstances lest you become unduly tied up in too much information. Why did Jesus not do many miracles there in His own country? Evidently He did some, but not many, Why? The answer given for our admonition was"because of their unbelief".How does describe our situations in the USA today? How much faith is enough? What are we doing to "satisfy" his minimum standard level of belief so that He might do some miracles in our midst in our homes and churches?

Let Psalm 18:20-24 be our proof text for our faith experience. He is wholly Holy. We need to "really" get wisdom and understanding. How is it with you today? love pj

Wednesday, January 20, 2010

20 January 2010. Hope you are current in you Bible reading.Consider making notes as you read so that you may be impressed as to sufficient and consistent the LORD has been since last year.
As you see GOD move in the life of Joseph, how does this impact your concept of The LORD?What ha GOD done for Joseph that He has not done for you?Stewardship is basic obedience to managing all things/gifts/talents for GOD's glory. IT ALL begins with The LORD giving to us as His creation and then for us to be fruitful and multiply.Yes, we need to be fruitful even in affliction.
Jesus uses parabels to get our attention, then after illumination and instruction we become responsible to apply that truth to our circumstances as good stewards.Let us be grateful for our "senses" that cause us to know GOD.If we don't see or hear then we cannot have faith.Faith is action!!!
Read and meditate on this psalm of adoration.Listen as you read and obey your Father.Forsake not His LAW> pj
19 January 2010 allows us to see that The LORD may/can/shall/will cause His children to prosper in dire/evil/unclean circumstances. Now do you believe He will do that for you? Be careful how you pray.Be grateful as you pray.Do not expect The LORD to make an exception for you nor forget you.If you are saved,He is with you just as it is recorded in 39:21 He was with Joseph. We need to focus on GOD and not the circumstances.
Jesus makes this truth plain in Matthew and out of two mouths the truth is established.Read the parable and ask The LORD to make truth known as He deems needed. Learn/practice praying "back" the Psalms. We all need to seek GOD and believe Him.There are two sides of each road. Be and do right today. pj
18 January 2010 As we read we need to be alert to the time line. What we read in 15-25 minuets each day may have been taking place in days and years. Ask The Holy Spirit to illumine truth as it happens.
Jealousy, greed, anger, covetousness, hostility and selfishness are traits all of us have in us as a natural man.Consider the work of GOD to maintain the lineage through these people in order for the birth of Jesus to be accomplished. We should consider Joseph as an example of how GOD works to bless those you trust and believe. What The LORD did for Joseph He has done for us.

Hopefully you are fascinated with the miracles of Jesus.Where did all the devils go, all the sins disappear to, all of the sicknesses stick to? HE TOOK THEM ALL!Can we trust HIM? Do we trust and believe? Read, believe and trust Psalm 16:1.
Proverbs 3 charges us to be attentive/believe all that we read, hear and see. love pj
17 January 2010 Let us take some things that we read literally. How do you see yourself in verse 35:1? Beth-el is the house of GOD and El-beth-el is the GOD of the house of God.Consider who you are in Christ. We are NEVER alone, He is with us all 24/7/365.
This truth is verified in Matthew 12:8 and should cause all of us to consider our attitude about church and Sunday. Then we can cry unto The LORD Psalm 15:1 and still have peace and confidence. Why do you read and memorize The Word?Proverbs 3:26! pj

16 January 2010 is the birthday of my wife! Yea!Happy birthday to all that have birth days in January of this year. My wife and I,we get to enjoy our spiritual birthday on 30 October. Do you have a spiritual birthday? If not,why not.
Hopefully you read to know Him and He causes the scriptures to be illumined for you so that you may see Him as clearly as Jacob/Israel did down by the creek.Every person has the same opportunity to meet GOD face to face, for The LORD is not willing that any should perish.

As you read about The God-man,Jesus, try to put yourself into the situation that you are reading and expect Him to deal with you personally.Try to note the snapshots of GOD and cause these to impact your concept of GOD.

Pray for those who not in the family of GOD and realize they are as a fool when they are confronted by the Holy Spirit and The Word of GOD and say no. Let enjoy the hope given to us and seek to have understanding. Use or lose. love pj
