Friday 27 February 2015, We are snowed in here, safe, secure and looking forward to how The LORD is going to show himself. While you read your Bible to know God allow the concept of "providence" to lead you into some time of thanksgiving and wonder.

Providence is the act of providing or preparing for future use or application. In Theology it is the care and superintendence with which God exercises over his creation. By divine providence is often understood as God himself. These were secured from the Webster 1828 Dictionary.

Read and re-read the Psalms and then pray them back to The LORD God, exalt his name, adore his majesty and be thankful. He is Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent and knows everything about what you have, need and will be given. He is God. Amen. Selah. Maranatha,

We will be reading (16-22 Feb) Leviticus 1:1-13:59, Mark 1:29-6:29, Psalm 35:17-39:13 & Proverbs 9:13-10:10. Exodus chronicles the Israelites getting out of Egypt and Leviticus will record the effort to get Egypt out of the Israelites. Jesus is portrayed as the servant of servants in Mark. The Psalms and Proverbs continue to show us God and His wisdom, love and mercy allowing us to know Him as we read the scriptures.
Suggestion: Start your day looking towards the East, observe God’s handiwork, and look for evidence of John3:12, recite Psalm 5:1-2, adore God by using His names while being thankful. Walk at liberty as you walk in His precepts.
Military application: The LORD brought out of Egypt 600,000 men for His Army. God caused Moses to organize by units of varying sizes with a chain of command for information and service. Joshua is established as the field commander to lead the Army into battle to defeat the enemies of God and His people. Prompt obedience and strict discipline is given and expected. Order is given and obedience is expected. Hear and learn the Commanders intent.

Do any of the duties of the priest apply to you today? What attributes of God did you see in Proverbs 9? How is God’s Immutability shown at Leviticus 4? In Mark what did find most interesting the miracles, healings, parables or the calling of the disciples? What verbs (inventive) did you discover in Psalm 37 that corresponds to Psalm 73? How did God show Himself as Jehovah-Sabaoth in Proverbs 10?
Look for utilization of the Key Words: What did Mark teach about faith and favor? What key words did you find demonstrated at Leviticus?

Apply Truths read and learned: What did you learn about discipleship at Mark 2:13-14? If a person does not hear God’s instruction, what is he? What did God use to demonstrate to the Hebrews when it was time to go or not? What was the last recorded promise given in this week’s reading?
Update and solidify your Biblical concept of God: Has your “fear of God” increased or decreased because of reading your Bible? Are you considered “simple” before God?

Establish a goal, write out your prayer, prepare your testimony and seek an opportunity to witness to a new found friend. Expect Elohim to show Himself for His glory and desire that Jehovah will draw someone to Himself for salvation by using you.
Consider as you read the gospel according to Mark seeking to see The Lord Jesus Christ as The Servant of Servants.  Share with us your discoveries.

Sunday, February 8, 2015

Sunday 8 February 2015, we are still here and there are many that have not heard the gospel. You and I have the Truth and the opportunity to share the "good news" that Jesus saves! We need not be arrogant when dealing with unbelievers for we were in times past ignorant of salvation until some one was faithful to be led by Jehovah to draw us to Himself by The Holy Ghost and we were saved based upon the merits of the life, death, burial and resurrection of The God-Man Jesus Christ.

Men must hear, believe, heed and receive the Word of God. Read to know God then go to show and tell what great things He has done for you. If you are not saved this is the day and Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." John 14:6.

This is the 5th  Lesson for the One Year Bible Class being conducted at VBC,15 February 2015. You are invited to attend.

Suggestion: Start your day looking towards the East, observe God’s handiwork, look for evidence of John3:12, recite Psalm 5:1-2, try to adore God by using several of His names while being thankful and try not to ask for anything besides forgiveness of sins.

Discover the names and attributes of God: What prerequisites did God establish for the Priest in preparation for service? Do any of these apply to you today? What attributes of God did you see in Proverbs 8? How is God’s Immutability shown at Exodus 32? What attribute of God did you note in Psalm 33:12-22? Did you discover at least 50 names for Jesus in Matthew?  What was written on the plate of the holy crown attached to the mitre?

Look for utilization of the Key Words: What did Psalm 32:1-11 teach about faith and favor? What key words did you find demonstrated at Matthew 27:35-53?
Apply Truths read and learned: What did you learn about discipleship at Matthew 26:54-59? If a person does not hear God’s instruction, what is he? What did God use to demonstrate to the Hebrews when it was time to go or not? What was the last recorded promise given in this week’s reading?

Update and solidify your Biblical concept of God: Has your “fear of God” increased or decreased because of reading your Bible? Are you considered “comely” before God?
Establish a goal, write out your prayer, prepare your testimony and seek an opportunity to witness to a new found friend. Expect Elohim to show Himself for His glory and desire that Jehovah will draw someone to Himself for salvation by using you.

Consider as you read the gospel according to Mark seeking to see The Lord Jesus Christ as The Servant of Servants.  Share with us your discoveries.

4th  Lesson                One Year Bible         Class  VBC                           8 February 2015
We will be reading this week (2-8 Feb) Exodus 15:19-28:42, Matthew 22:1-26:13; Psalm 27:1-31:18 & Proverbs 6:20-8:13. Strive to start your day in the scriptures reading to know God. We read to know God NOT to make Him happy because we do read. Please don’t read out of guilt “to catch up” because you have missed a day, if James 4:17 applies, put that under the promise of 1st John 1:9. Read and enjoy knowing God.
Suggestion: Be sensitive to your surroundings. Look for God in all things. Accept John 3:12 and keep on looking for the higher learning. Write a thank you note to God. Practice Psalm 5:1-2 as your personnel plea and use different names of God to restate your meditation. What answer do you expect from The LORD?
Meditate on Psalm 5:1-2, John 3:12, Genesis 28:15 and a promise that you read this week. As you walk in the “mine field planted by Satan” seek God’s wisdom, be careful.
Military application: We must be keen on the Objective given to us by our Commander and Lord. Another principle is that of Simplicity; first understand the mission, speak it back as received, don’t add to nor delete truths, read-heed-believe and execute. If you will not march in step you cannot fight and win. KISS!
Record names, attributes and promises of God you discovered this week. Where did you see Jehovah Rapha? Where did El Shaddai demonstrate his power? What evidence was there of Jehovah Jireh? Consider Elohim to be defined as “Infinite Power absolute Faithfullness.” Work on writing out your testimony using scriptures.
How and where did you see the KEY WORDS of Law, Sin, Righteousness, Love, Holy, Mercy, Grace, faith, Hope, Heart, Glory, and Joy demonstrated this week?
Application / Goals; did you relate Jesus teaching His disciples to pray with God providing “manna”?  Fear God, be wary of where you walk, sit and who you talk with each day. Discipline yourself to believe and practice II Timothy 3:16-17. Strive to be faithful on purpose?
Do you believe Psalm 27 is an applicable promise to you today? Is Exodus 20 a critical lesson to you? What Truth did you learn from Exodus 23:8? How does Matthew 24:29-51 impact your concept of God? What warning did you see in Proverbs 8:1-10? Where is your alabaster box? What is considered the fear of the LORD?
We say that God is Genuine, Great and Good. Define God’s attributes of Transcendent and Immanent and record the scriptures that demonstrate these qualities.

Thursday, February 5, 2015

Thursday 5 February 2015 and we are expecting the trumpet to sound and The Lord to call all believers to Himself, Maranatha. Hope you have been reading your Bible to know God. It is exciting to realize that God made all things for His glory and we get to enjoy these blessings and our joy is full. The Law and Commandments are for our good.

When you read take time to see the circumstance as evidence of One who controls al circumstances and then worship Him, not them. Seek to see, hear, believe and obey Elohim and respond to Jehovah for salvation. Read and re-read Psalm 5 and take time to be grateful and thankful for Christ.
