22 Feb 2012 Wednesday - How is your reading? As you read do you sense that you are getting to know God? As you know The LORD as your Lord and saviour are you now more inclined to read and obey? Has the Holy Spirit been your teacher? These are question we all must deal with every day and particularly as we pursue Him. We have been taught to seek Him early and diligently while he may be found. Take time to ponder that God is HOLY.

We ought to learn much about sanitation and separation by reading the Old Testament. We ought to appreciate our ability to enter into the presence of God through Jesus and not be required to take an acceptable animal, lay hands on that animal and then to cut its throat and offer the blood and its parts to be burnt as a sacrifice. Yet when we claim this privilege to meet with God The Father, we must come in the Name of His dear Son, who was slain as a sacrifice for our sins.

Take time in your devotion and be thankful. Recall the promise of Him in the scriptures, then His birth, His life, His death, His burial, His resurrection and ascension. Our hope is Maranatha. He promised to come and get us and it could be today. Are there any clouds in the sky? ??Why is He coming for you??

Observe the traits of a godly person recorded in the psalms and proverbs. Make a list and then see where your traits are similar. This will or ought to provoke you to pray differently. He is Holy, Holy, Holy and He said we are to be Holy. Keep on reading to know Him. Spend time meditating on Psalm 26. with respect and love, pj

PS: Why do you read? Why do you not obey what you read?

17Feb 2012-Friday and Sunday is coming. Are making plans for church this coming Sunday?Hope your reading has been informative,exciting,educational,up-lifting, revealing God to you through The Scriptures. Now that you know what to do, how is your conversation different from yesterday? All of us ought to be seeking The LORD early and diligently each day. We read to know HIM! Do not forget that God loves you if you read or not.We ought not to try nor think that God is happy with us because we read. He Loves His children!!!!

Now that God is making plain the system of worship for the Jews in the wilderness we ought to be VERY grateful for The Lord Jesus Christ today. Spend some time and reflect upon how many animals or birds you would need for the making of an offering(s) "IF" you sinned. How often do you use 1st John 1:9? How often do you sin? How prompt are you to confess and make things right between you and your LORD?

Since reading Mark's Gospel, how do you link his record with that according to Matthew? Did you note the record at 2:14 and recognize who is being called? What liberty is promoted at 2:27-28? As you read continue to refine your concept of GOD.

Practice praying back to The LORD your Lord using the phrases that are recorded in the psalms. Take the warnings in proverbs and pray for God to keep you in or from the situations described. We demonstrate to God that we read, hear and want to obey Him through our prayers and daily conversations. Selah. Maranatha, luvpj

15 Feb 2112 Happy day to all of you today. Hope your reading did not interfere with your ability to express your love for someone special in your life. My special ONE made our first date,14Feb1957, a date to remember. When we read together each day to know The LORD it is easy for me to be thankful, for His gift to me of my sweet wife.

I challenge all husbands to take charge and put God FIRST in your daily conversation. Include your wife with you as you read so that you both may be better able to pray with and for one another and others.I will not think that you are a sissy if you don't, but if you can and you don't what do you tell your wife?

What did you learn about God and His modular building concept for the tabernacle? What did you learn about leadership as Moses instructs the people to prepare the parts? Take time to reflect as to where they are/were and what resources did they have at hand to prepare all these items. Consider living in a tent, not moving and watching another tent, 24-7-365 according to Exodus 40:34-38, to see when to pack and go. What would you be doing?

When you compare Mark with Matthew as you read, be careful not to think some info has been discarded or added. When you consider Matthew's account of the last days what seems most important to you? Do you consider yourself an active participant in God's plan of redemption? Remember that the writers of The New Testament write as if the readers know the Old Testament. Look at Mark 1:2. Read the Bible to know Him.

Try to meditate in the Psalms and Proverbs. Pray back what you read. Ask The LORD, your Lord to cause you to be more teachable by God the Holy spirit so that your thoughts are as His thoughts and you seek the wisdom of God.Consider Proverbs9:9-12 as your plan for joy. Maranatha, luvpj

13 Feb 2012 Monday is a great time to complete the inner promises made yesterday. To wake up in a warm house with my family in place, with the ground covered with snow, workmen starting to prepare to paint the kitchen, to read the 365 Bible To know God and to be able to express my gratefulness for now is awesome! I couldn't see Psalm 19 in action today, but I believe that The sun is still there.

It is exciting to read about how The LORD caused some men's heart to be made willing to be and do His will. When God is the center piece things/people are in their right place. When we consider Psalm 26, 1 Feb, we do judge people in order to be blessed.Go back and read this psalm again and see what it means to obey God. I do understand that God resist the proud, yet when we choose God more than men, we are blessed.Have you ever ask your Lord to cause your heart to be made a willing heart?

It is recommended that you read Matthew's record of the death of Jesus on the cross carefully and slowly to know the mind of God. Note the names and titles used to describe Jesus. Have you ever wondered who saw the vail of the temple being rent in twain? We learn to significance of this renting, yet it was not known to many people until after this letter was written and distributed to the world. Take time to appreciate the gift of The Bible.

Spend time and "Selah" Psalm 34 and see yourself in the hands of Almighty God and appreciate the promise given at v10b. Don't be afraid to apply Psalm 119:165 as you consider Proverbs9:8. It is important to be alert to your surroundings, hear what is being said, and then demonstrate your obedience/love of your Lord to the world. pj

Saturday, February 11, 2012

11 Feb 2012 Saturday and Sunday is coming. Take time to look out to the East o/a 7:15AM,when the sun is beginning to rise, open to Psalm 19 and read out loud slowly until you see this psalm being displayed in it's splendor by God. This will bring you much pleasure. If this does not thrill your soul, then move so that you see, or confess your sin, and or beg The LORD to open your heart so that you may be drawn unto HIM! Spend those minuets adoring Him. Then you will want to confess your sins. Then you will want to be thankful. Then you may ask what you will. (A C T S)
Always read to know Him before you go to church. pj

10 Feb 2012 Forgive me for passing the time away from the machine. Hopefully you have been reading every day to know God. We have had some wonderful opportunities to see and sense the LORD work in and around our family. I am confident that He was providing protection for us as we traveled to Tyler and back and that He was also faithful to provide the very best for you. This past Sunday the pastor in Tyler used a phrase that was brand new for us and it was very comforting. He was saying when we think bad things happen to good people, we forget GOD is Omniscient and Sovereign.Yet The LORD our Lord who is God Almighty knows every thing and will"Redeem what He allows." This is very similar to Romans 8:28-.Now take time to be grateful for what you have and don't have.

Exodus provides much insight to the heart and mind/will of God. As we read to know Him "pretend" as a little child to be sitting at the footstool of GOD and hearing HIM as He is telling how to worship Himself. Get a good picture of Moses being the servant to his brother AAron. Moses never had the opportunity to enter into the Holy of Holies. But what Moses experienced waas far more exciting, talking face to face with Jehovah. If you had a choice which would you choose?

Matthew had to wait several years before he wrote the Gospel of Matthew, but all the time he knew the heart of The Lord Jesus Christ. What do you want when you read? Look how many times the word "friend" is used, then look at the concordance to see the different meanings. What kind of friend are you to Jesus?

We have read 32 Psalms so far this year. How has it changed your prayer life and your overall daily conversation? If not, why not?

What is the main thing in Proverbs? When God is not causing Solomon to give advice, who is he speaking about in Proverbs 8:27-32? Read to know Him. Let God love on you. Love on The LORD your Lord, even as your children and grandchildren love on you. pj

Wednesday, February 1, 2012

1 Feb 2012 already the week is in high gear and all of us are busy. Hope you are reading to know Him. I find it exciting to learn that God started the first daylight saving plan for the Hebrews and the Egyptians. What attribute(s) did you learn from this moving experience? Suggest you freshen your list of names that God has used to describe Himself. Pause and re-think about where Moses was when he was writing this historical lesson. Have you ever considered writing a song about how The LORD rescued you?

Jesus places truth in front of all men, Here I AM! The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom... Do you see yourself in this story about the husbandman?

When you read the psalms link this back to day 1, Psalm 1, Selah. The proverbs makes sin very clear and all men are without excuse. Learn to be dependent upon God and fall upon The Rock-millstone lest knowing the opportunity you be crushed. luvpj
