Believe Him.

It appears that time has over taken common sense. I have been reading, but just slack in posting any thoughts. Hope you have finished the year and started A-new. I will post some thoughts soon. Read and seek to know Him. If you have questions, comments and suggestions please send to me via E-Mail. Because He first loved us, we can love each other. pj

December 11 Friday and Sunday is coming!Hope all is well and you are preparing for the next few days. There are clouds in the sky and this could be the day.Get ready for being thankful for all your blessings. We are to be good stewards of all of our gifts. Count your blessings name them one by one.I am grateful for eyes to see, ears to hear, hands to touch and the ability to understand the Bible as being taught by GOD's Holy Spirit. We got caught up in a lot of little things and I am slow about the blog. Hope you have been reading to know Him and seeing GOD's provision for the salvation of His creation. It is amazing how the Bible is relevant to today.

Amos 4:1-6:14 Amos provides sound advice to Israel, and to us, in that we ought to seek GOD. Hopefully the "snapshots" of The LORD grab your attention and causes you to put your house in order. Read what happens to a nation who does not hear nor heed GOD's warnings/exhortations/admonitions and be quick to repent and return to GOD.We have the opportunity to learn what pleases and or displeases GOD and His Words of instructions are specific.Take note of His NAMES.

Revelation 2:18-3:6 continues the report on the conditions of the churches. How does this affect your concept of GOD and the churches of today? What do you see that is common to all of the churches and applies to you?Are there promises you can claim, sins you can confess and ways you are going to amend?Read to know Him.

Psalm 130:1-8 try to recall other psalms and make this your personal plea.then All of us need to practice what we pray and have the patience to wait on GOD.

December 10 A good day to take the "grands" to the mall to watch their reaction to Santa.Neither the 5yr nor 3 yr old wanted anything to do with the man in the red suit.WE PRAY THAT THEY BOTH LEARN AND UNDERSTAND THE SEASON AND TRUE MEANING OF WHO CHRIST IS ANS WHY HE CAME TO EARTH. Let us agree to pray for ALL parents to know and share The TRUTH ASAP.Let us celebrate Him, GOD-man, and His birth, life, death, burial, Resurrection, Ascension and Soon Return. Let us share The Gospel every day.

Amos 1:1-3:15 demonstrates many principals of GOD.One basic guide line applies to our relationship/fellowship with people by asking the question "how can two walk together, except they agree"? Now the question comes up; are you ready/prepared to meet GOD?This is a good book for stewardship.Re look Hebrews 9:27. Are you saved?

Revelation 2:1-17 continues the instruction to the seven churches. We get to see/read and learn how believers should act and the consequence of unbelief and inaction.Read to know Him and try to make a personal inspection of your conduct as compared to these churches applying the final admonition given to all seven"He that hath an ear,let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches".Hear and obey!

Psalm 129:1-8 Has The LORD ever forsaken you? Let us not focus on the circumstances, but look unto The LORD, for He is our strength. Amen. Selah.

December 9 starts out cold and clear with clouds in the sky, this could be the day!Are you ready to be snatched out and to spend eternity with GOD? A great day for the children of our children to visit. We thank The LORD for our family. Remember that we are reading the "minor" prophets in the OT and they are deemed minor due to the length of their letter/book only and not due to their purpose or position. These are prophets selected by GOD to speak His mind/will for His children.

Joel 1:1-3:21 warns us about the coming Day of The LORD.GOD wants all men to repent and return to Him.It is so today as then, all men are in the valley of decision and their/our choice is critical even to salvation or destruction.Choose GOD.

Read to know Him.

Psalm 127:1-5 If GOD is not The builder or Jesus is not The Cornerstone we are laboring in vain. Are you happy in GOD? If not,why not? Get right and then do right.

Proverbs 29:15-17 Do you,as a parent, enjoy rest and delight?Be corrected by The LORD and correct your children as instructed. Selah. Amen. pj

December 7 Remember, the enemy does not wait to attack because we are not ready. The enemy expects to destroy all of his enemies. We that believe GOD is Almighty GOD expect for Him to win and for us to be blessed because He is GOD.This is a good time to start recalling all we have in GOD because of our faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. Read to know Him and believe his True Word as written to order your steps. We have less than 30 days to prepare for January 1st, 2010.Keep true to His Truth.

Hosea 6:1-9:17 records again how GOD waits and expects the backslider to repent and return in humility to Him.verse 7:16 demonstrates how that a detour is not the same thing as an about face.If you have forgotten GOD's attitude about sin, read 8:6-7,14.

3rd John 1:1-14 warns members of the church to be careful in their charity and conduct. Now, who are you warning? We all need to be right and to do right.Amen.

Don't be surprised/left behind by GOD at the rapture, get prepared today.

Hosea 4:1-5:15 demonstrates how much The LORD cares for His children and how stiffnecked and unresponsive they were to GOD's provision and pleas.Let us learn the lesson expressed in v6 and be wary of our lack of attention, interest and lack of knowledge we practice towards GOD.Yes, The LORD loves sinners, but He hates sin. This book should teach us that GOD expects holy living from His children and no man knows where GOD's deadlines/limits are drawn. All should repent/confess sins ASAP!Do right.

2nd John 1:1-13 reminds all believers to be like Jesus Christ. We do not have to follow our old nature. We get to live in mercy divinely empowered by GOD's grace.

Psalm 125:1-5 tells us about GOD's traits and mannerisms. Read to know Him. Selah.

Proverbs 29:9-11 tells us to mind our own business. Be careful as you reflect GOD. pj

December 5 Saturday, cold and windy, much to do getting the house ready for the holidays and the grandchildren. We hope you are expecting to be a blessing as well as receive blessings these next few days.Let us not just read to know Him, but also to apply biblical principals of caring for others that may be needy and poor. All men need to hear and believe the Gospel. Consider adding a personal note and tract in each gift.We are blessed!

Hosea 1:1-3:5 Hosea is some times referred to as the prophet with a broken heart who expresses GOD's love toward back-sliden sinners, The Jews. There is much in common of the names Hosea,Joshua and Jesus, salvation.Read about The LORD's attitude of mercy and tolerance. We need to be alert to not presuming on GOD.There is a wage for sin and all men will die, either saved or in their sin.Check the calendar and names of kings in order to put this book in the proper time zone.Hosea is a prophet to Israel, following Jonah an Amos under King Jeroboam II prior to their captivity by Assyria. What a hard requirement GOD placed on Hosea in this marriage and birthing and naming of his children. How tender is your heart towards lost people?Look up the title of Baali an Ishi and see why they are used to describe GOD as master and or husband. Some times we get too casual with the names/titles of GOD.Respect GOD.

1st John 5:1-21 is a great record of what and who we are in Christ.Read, believe an accept what is written as true fact.We are taught how to pray and why we should not pray for some.Practice v21 daily in thought and deed, but don't be idle.

Daniel 11:35-12:13 completes the dreams and visions that The LORD caused Daniel to experience. We ought to be glad and happy that we have the full and complete will of GOD in our possession, The KJV Bible, that we get to read to know Him.We have the opportunity to see how men and kings rebel against GOD for a season, but One Day GOD will show Himself as GOD of all gods,He who rules the world. We may never fully understand this book until we are in glory and watch this all come to pass. Focus on Him who made this world, not on the world.Be encouraged that GOD is the same today.

1st John 4:1-21 warns us again to be alert. There is a difference between saved and unsaved people.Learn the evidence factors given by GOD to John and check your self. Evidence does not save us! We are saved by faith! Learn and enjoy the thought and hope provided by the Word-propitiation.Be fascinated by v21 and consider the impact of this verse in your life,"his brother".

Psalm 123:1-4 allows believers to joy in GOD.Focus on GOD and be happy in His attributes. His mercy is forever and He is our LORD and God.Trust and obey. Selah.

December 3 Thursday and we are driving to Longview to watch our grandchildren march in the high school band as a part of the Christmas parade.

Daniel 11:1-34 records the deceit of the Jews and bad agreements with the unholy kings. We get to see the impact of greed and pride and men that do their own will. We read to know Him and to see ourselves as we read about others. The acts of sinful men against GOD display the spirit of the Antichrist. One Day GOD will show Himself and all will be repaired, but until then we ought to be and do right.

1st John 3:7-24 warns the believers to be good hearers of the Word and their conduct ought to reflect GOD in them.Don't misunderstand who will go to heaven and who will not enter. Salvation covers ALL Sins, past, present and future. Their is evidence of our salvation and conversion for the glory of GOD.If no evidence....

Psalm 122:1-9 How is your prayer life? What are you praying for that is in agreement with The Lord Jesus Christ? Do you believe GOD? If not,why not? Selah.

Proverbs 29:1 reminds us to be good hearers and doers of The WORD.Take time and review your fear factor in your concept of GOD.Who are you praying for today? pj
December 2 What a beautiful sight to wake up to this AM of snow!Wow, The LORD really dressed up our yard. A friend came by and took me to the gun range for some refresher training on handgun safety and weapons qualification. All were in the 10/9 ring and I was pleased.Good time at church tonight, missed you. Talked with a young man about salvation and he opted to wait for another few days. Except The Holy Spirit convict and draw people they will not respond. We must keep on telling the good news and stay out of the pressure mode.We water, plant and expect GOD to draw.

Daniel 9:1-10:21 allows us to see how to pray. We get to learn how The LORD works and should be encouraged that He does hear and sends answers.Suggest you get a sheet of paper and draw out this time line of future events.Learn this lesson, GOD hears the prayers of righteous men.Be careful as you read to note the spelling of LORD, Lord and lord. We,the saints,do have heavenly attendants to assist us,Thanks to GOD.

1st John 2:18-3:6 continues the words of encouragement for Christians. We are warned about the possibility of being surrounded with unbelievers in the church and what they may try to persuade us to do.Please review your weapons verses and revisit The Gospel of John, chapter 1.If you are saved, you are a son of GOD!Fact! Finished.

Psalm 121:1-8 hopefully you have practiced these verses personally.Look in you get bitter, LOOK UP and you will get Better.Believe what you read, read to know Him.

Proverbs 28:27-28 stewardship in practice.Seek to be responsive to GOD and The Holy Spirit's leadership. Selah. pj
