December 5 Saturday, cold and windy, much to do getting the house ready for the holidays and the grandchildren. We hope you are expecting to be a blessing as well as receive blessings these next few days.Let us not just read to know Him, but also to apply biblical principals of caring for others that may be needy and poor. All men need to hear and believe the Gospel. Consider adding a personal note and tract in each gift.We are blessed!

Hosea 1:1-3:5 Hosea is some times referred to as the prophet with a broken heart who expresses GOD's love toward back-sliden sinners, The Jews. There is much in common of the names Hosea,Joshua and Jesus, salvation.Read about The LORD's attitude of mercy and tolerance. We need to be alert to not presuming on GOD.There is a wage for sin and all men will die, either saved or in their sin.Check the calendar and names of kings in order to put this book in the proper time zone.Hosea is a prophet to Israel, following Jonah an Amos under King Jeroboam II prior to their captivity by Assyria. What a hard requirement GOD placed on Hosea in this marriage and birthing and naming of his children. How tender is your heart towards lost people?Look up the title of Baali an Ishi and see why they are used to describe GOD as master and or husband. Some times we get too casual with the names/titles of GOD.Respect GOD.

1st John 5:1-21 is a great record of what and who we are in Christ.Read, believe an accept what is written as true fact.We are taught how to pray and why we should not pray for some.Practice v21 daily in thought and deed, but don't be idle.

Psalm 124:1-8 Where would you be if it were not for Salvation?Be grateful and tell your saviour often how much you appreciate His act of propitiation for you. Selah.

Proverbs 29:5-8 Does GOD consider you wise?Do you practice kindness?Be careful with your words and deeds.Seek to be joyful and thankful for ALL you have from GOD. pj
