31 January 2010.What a great day to be saved, alive and able to go to church.Remember the difference between Beth-El and El-Beth-El. GOD is with us 24-7-365,if we are saved, and we go to church to assemble as a family to worship and praise our GOD for Him and all of His blessings by singing and giving our offerings. We get edified by the teaching and preaching so that we do the ministry given to us empowered through His Spirit and Grace. We have all of this now and heaven to come,Maranatha.

The principals being taught by Moses ought to impact our lives today. The LORD is interested in our well being and gives to us the opportunity for wisdom and understanding. We have in our hands the Perfect(True-Pure-Complete)Will of GOD.We have been warned about the wrath of GOD and we have been told about the solution to our sin problem and GOD has provided The Lamb.We should be grateful that we do not live in the time of Moses and under the Law.We are under GRACE and we should not do less than the law.

As we read to know Him we find ourselves responding to Jesus much like those who met Him. Please consider your prayer requests of the last 48 hours.Look around your house and see if you have any fig trees with leaves and no fruit.Let us examine ourselves first to see if we have been true to Him.

What do you expect to preserve you today? If it is not integrity and uprightness, what is it? Let us not be considered a naughty person in the eyes of GOD. Selah. pj
30 January 2010 Thank The LORD for all of His blessings. We are not in Egypt and under bondage. There are many sad and tragic things happening today around the world but let us focus on GOD and not the circumstances. Even knee deep in the mess we need to look up.

Moses was given a great task by GOD. Moses even knew that the heart of Pharaoh would not respond yet he obeyed GOD. What are we to learn about obedience? How does this affect our concept of The LORD? Read to know Him.Can we appreciate how GOD protects the Jews and learn that we will not suffer the wrath of GOD? The rain falls on the just and the unjust.God knows, hears and sees everything everywhere all the time. Stewardship, we will give an account of how we respond to our blessings and their cursing. He is Just and Holy.

Let us appreciate our blessing of The Lord Jesus Christ who as our lamb took our sin/sins and took the wrath of GOD so that we might believe and be saved/redeemed and converted.God is fair and will reward us for our faith and labor.

Look unto GOD and be thankful and grateful every day. What GOD does is for His name's sake. We get to be blessed.Let us be busy about our Father's business. love pj

29 January 2010 Read to know Him and be wholly Holy.Recall Psalm 62:5 and consider what we have from GOD through The Lord Jesus Christ. As we read let us look for "first mentioned" and ask The Holy Spirit to illumine The Scriptures so that we may be able to see The LORD and that our concept of GOD is biblically correct.

Today we read about the various plagues and how the effects were not upon the Hebrews.Have you determined why they were protected? Look at v9:13.We can learn how to pray and how to believe because we have read today. These are given to us as examples. Be specific and pay attention. Be right then do right.Even when we are met with difficulties we need to focus on He that sent us and not on whom we encounter.

Jesus allows us to see His heart and handiwork so that we might grow in faith and grace.Listen to His promises and learn about the conditions. We are and are to be stewards of The Truth. As you link into Psalm 24 hopefully you are impressed with GOD and you see the connectivity of all of the scriptures.Psalm 22-23-24 tell the Gospel and prepare us to look for our Maranatha. Now my son pay attention and be right then do what, how and when The LORD directs. It is for our good-His Glory. pj
28 January 2010 Let us be grateful that we are saved, live in America, get to vote, go to church, serve GOD and others and have heaven to forward to,perhaps even today. There are clouds in the sky and we have His promise. How long has it been since you "got saved"? Are His Words and promises more real today than when you first heard ans believed? Imagine how it was for the Jews in Egypt when Moses began to tell them about GOD and their salvation that was to come.

Take time to dwell upon the names of GOD!See the different spelling in v5:22.Let the power of His names impress you as they are recorded in v6:2-8 and pay attention to the promises with their conditions. This will impact your concept of GOD.

Allow Jesus to teach you about honesty, integrity, stewardship and accountability. We have the option to hear, heed, believe and practice this teaching every day.Ponder this phrase"He that is able to receive it, let him receive it".

Read and meditate the 23rd Psalm.Accept the promises and provisions made available by GOD to each believer. We get to live with instruction and be pleasing unto GOD.love pj

27 January 2010 What a day for a nuclear X-Ray session of 2-3 hr duration! It is amazing to discover how marvelous our body is designed by GOD.My tech for this exam was a believer so we discussed how we were blessed and both of us were grateful for what GOD had done for Adam and that we had inherited a magnificent body.We were also grateful for doctors, medicine/dies and special machines that take pictures of our innards in action or in my case non functioning.

What a good day to read about GOD and His provisions, protection and always going before us to prepare the way for His ministry. How many miracles must GOD do in order to not only get our attention, but to keep it?God uses men to help men.

Please read how Jesus uses the little children carefully so as to not misunderstand how to be saved.Every person must choose to receive Jesus Christ as Saviour. How do these events impact your concept of GOD?Read to know Him.

Be encouraged by the psalms and proverbs and find the promise that applies to you. Note the names, title and attributes of GOD.The LORD chooses to let us know the Lord. Hope you are encouraged by the blog. Please send comments. love pj

26 January 2010 As you read your Bible do you sense any similarity of the events of today in our society that are like those in the days of Moses?Has GOD changed? How many laws do we overlook as we do our own thing regardless of the Word of GOD and the prompting of His Holy spirit?Read these stories and look for a personal application in your own life. Character is always in style.Have you enjoyed an experience with GOD like Moses and the burning bush? How long has it been since you "really" sought The LORD?How many promises has The LORD made to us that we have overlooked and not have not incorporated them into our life?

Hopefully you get excited about this event in Peter's life where he is told to go catch a fish with gold in his mouth so that he can pay the tax.How many attributes of GOD did you detect? How does this impact your concept of GOD?

Psalm 22-23-24 should be read as a trilogy.Take time to be amazed by GOD.Capture these snapshots and cause them to thrill you in days to come.Pay attention to the proverbs and do not depart from them.Ponder v14 and be careful. love pj
25 January 2010 The common affect upon all men since the sin by Adam in the garden is death.Look at Hebrews 9:27 and see how it is best to prepare for eternity and not be caught/surprised, for only GOD knows the hour of our last breath.Reading about Jacob and his family should cause us to make preparations soonest.Look for the best qualities in Joseph's life ans see if you have those same attributes.Look at Jesus Christ and see how you are most like Him.
Consider all the acts in the lives of the sons of Jacob/Israel, but do not forget the provisions that GOD makes for Judah and the lineage of Jesus. Now we get to see the men of Levi work for GOD and realize this will be demonstrated in the division of the land by Joshua.

Do you consider yourself a disciple of Jesus Christ?Do you practice His instructions? How do you share your testimony with others? How are you being used to cause men and women to be saved and follow The Lord? What has He told you that you have told no man?

How many promises do you get from these psalms? How do you pray back the psalms to The LORD?Do you pay attention to your Father's advice?Do you trust GOD?Act like it.pj
24 January 2010 Are you reading these thoughts and do they cause you to pause and ask why,how or when?Read to know Him and meditate on the Truth. What did GOD do for Joseph that He has not done for you?Don't focus on the creation or circumstance, but focus on The LORD.All of us have a testimony before men and GOD.All of us need to make preparations for those last days that may overtake us instead of the rapture. Do you have a will?

We need to be alert to the miracles going on around us daily.Remember GOD uses men to serve men. We read about the miracle of feeding the 4000 men and realize there was a need. How do you sense and relate to Jesus having compassion on these people? We need to think on the eternal and not stay in the now and temporary. We have the Word of GOD so that we may know Him and His doctrine.

Are you rejoicing in your salvation? Are you attending to His Words? If not, why not?We need to be alert and inclined unto The LORD. Practice holiness/sanctification. pj

23 January 2010 We still need to be careful as we read so that we don't miss the names changes like those in 46:1-6 of Jacob and Israel. Israel is generally considered to refer to the believing Jew that started back with the creek side encounter of Jacob with Jesus as an angel. Joseph demonstrates so many good pictures of Christ. As you make these snapshots they will solidify your concept of GOD.

Jesus teaches many truths that we get to see in action today. A good tree can/will only produce good fruit. It is a good thing to keep your heart soft to the leadership of The Holy Spirit as He works through The Word of GOD and they never contradict one another. How great is your faith?

When we see GOD at work in His creation we ought to declare His glory and pray with thanksgiving. Is your fear clean? Sing Psalm 19 and joy in The LORD.Be careful how and where you walk, stand and sit.Re visit Psalm 1.Walk in His light. Be/do right. pj
22 January 2010 Consider that wisdom is better than vision and life better than death. Stewardship is the main thing! We should not try to separate love and obedience from our adoration of The LORD.Do you remember what GOD magnified above all of His Names?Look at Psalm 138:2 and meditate on that truth.

We get to see and understand the interaction of Judah and Joseph picturing the types of Jesus to come.Think about the lineage of Christ.Read 45:5(Grace)and try and grasp what GOD was saying and would be doing for His creation, you and me.You might add many of these verses as promise verse of what The LORD will do for His own.

We pick up the same type of pictures as Jesus speaks concerning the multitude, GOD has compassion on them and us.Stewardship is demonstrated again by getting from God and giving to men to serve men for their good and GOD's glory.

The psalmist teaches stewardship in v35-50 and we need to apply these principals in our daily conversation. We "Must" need take fast hold on these sayings. love pj
21 January 2010 Hopefully you are even more fascinated by GOD this year as you read through your Bible to know Him.Keep posting notes and snapshots of The LORD in your daily reading journal.Apply the simple admonition of Joseph"This do, and live; for I fear GOD". Has your fear of GOD changed any since you got saved?Carefully attend to the action of Joseph as you compare them with the deeds of Judah, for we are seeing GOD preserve His lineage for Jesus.

Focus on The LORD and not the circumstances lest you become unduly tied up in too much information. Why did Jesus not do many miracles there in His own country? Evidently He did some, but not many, Why? The answer given for our admonition was"because of their unbelief".How does describe our situations in the USA today? How much faith is enough? What are we doing to "satisfy" his minimum standard level of belief so that He might do some miracles in our midst in our homes and churches?

Let Psalm 18:20-24 be our proof text for our faith experience. He is wholly Holy. We need to "really" get wisdom and understanding. How is it with you today? love pj

Wednesday, January 20, 2010

20 January 2010. Hope you are current in you Bible reading.Consider making notes as you read so that you may be impressed as to sufficient and consistent the LORD has been since last year.
As you see GOD move in the life of Joseph, how does this impact your concept of The LORD?What ha GOD done for Joseph that He has not done for you?Stewardship is basic obedience to managing all things/gifts/talents for GOD's glory. IT ALL begins with The LORD giving to us as His creation and then for us to be fruitful and multiply.Yes, we need to be fruitful even in affliction.
Jesus uses parabels to get our attention, then after illumination and instruction we become responsible to apply that truth to our circumstances as good stewards.Let us be grateful for our "senses" that cause us to know GOD.If we don't see or hear then we cannot have faith.Faith is action!!!
Read and meditate on this psalm of adoration.Listen as you read and obey your Father.Forsake not His LAW> pj
19 January 2010 allows us to see that The LORD may/can/shall/will cause His children to prosper in dire/evil/unclean circumstances. Now do you believe He will do that for you? Be careful how you pray.Be grateful as you pray.Do not expect The LORD to make an exception for you nor forget you.If you are saved,He is with you just as it is recorded in 39:21 He was with Joseph. We need to focus on GOD and not the circumstances.
Jesus makes this truth plain in Matthew and out of two mouths the truth is established.Read the parable and ask The LORD to make truth known as He deems needed. Learn/practice praying "back" the Psalms. We all need to seek GOD and believe Him.There are two sides of each road. Be and do right today. pj
18 January 2010 As we read we need to be alert to the time line. What we read in 15-25 minuets each day may have been taking place in days and years. Ask The Holy Spirit to illumine truth as it happens.
Jealousy, greed, anger, covetousness, hostility and selfishness are traits all of us have in us as a natural man.Consider the work of GOD to maintain the lineage through these people in order for the birth of Jesus to be accomplished. We should consider Joseph as an example of how GOD works to bless those you trust and believe. What The LORD did for Joseph He has done for us.

Hopefully you are fascinated with the miracles of Jesus.Where did all the devils go, all the sins disappear to, all of the sicknesses stick to? HE TOOK THEM ALL!Can we trust HIM? Do we trust and believe? Read, believe and trust Psalm 16:1.
Proverbs 3 charges us to be attentive/believe all that we read, hear and see. love pj
17 January 2010 Let us take some things that we read literally. How do you see yourself in verse 35:1? Beth-el is the house of GOD and El-beth-el is the GOD of the house of God.Consider who you are in Christ. We are NEVER alone, He is with us all 24/7/365.
This truth is verified in Matthew 12:8 and should cause all of us to consider our attitude about church and Sunday. Then we can cry unto The LORD Psalm 15:1 and still have peace and confidence. Why do you read and memorize The Word?Proverbs 3:26! pj

Friday, January 15, 2010

16 January 2010 is the birthday of my wife! Yea!Happy birthday to all that have birth days in January of this year. My wife and I,we get to enjoy our spiritual birthday on 30 October. Do you have a spiritual birthday? If not,why not.
Hopefully you read to know Him and He causes the scriptures to be illumined for you so that you may see Him as clearly as Jacob/Israel did down by the creek.Every person has the same opportunity to meet GOD face to face, for The LORD is not willing that any should perish.

As you read about The God-man,Jesus, try to put yourself into the situation that you are reading and expect Him to deal with you personally.Try to note the snapshots of GOD and cause these to impact your concept of GOD.

Pray for those who not in the family of GOD and realize they are as a fool when they are confronted by the Holy Spirit and The Word of GOD and say no. Let enjoy the hope given to us and seek to have understanding. Use or lose. love pj
15 January 2010 Yea, a great day for visiting the doctors office. It is a blessing to have caregivers who profess to be saved and demonstrate kindness in their business.
Hopefully you recognize the frailty of man as Jacob and his family make the trip to Canaan. Learn about mankind and get prepared to be truthful when you are caught acting strangely by others.A good philosophy is to admit that it is never right to do wrong in order to do right later. We ought to be careful to establish boundaries in our family and in our friendships and agree upfront what we are going to be and do. It will always be BEST to pray first.
Jesus sets the standards for His followers.Re look Matt 10:37-42 and determine where you are in the "disciple of Jesus" program. Is every believer today "required" to be a disciple like these 12 men or not? Where do you fit in the ministry? Do we have a choice of following and being empowered? What does Lord mean to you?
Is Psalm 13:6 true/so in your life? If not, why not. Are you happy because of what GOD has done for you for Jesus'sake? Refine your concept of GOD. love pj
PS: Have you told someone that you love them?
14 January 2010 What a great day to be alive, safe, secure, blessed and have heaven to look forward to today. Hope you enjoy reading the Proverbs. Chapter 3 and 31 are my favorite chapters.Hopefully you will allow Chapter 3 to influence your lifestyle and your method of dealing with GOD, your fellowman and those who hate you. When in doubt we can always cry "help LORD" and have confidence He will favor us as we are faithful.
Pay attention to how Jesus teaches, instructs, equips and sends out His disciples who will be known as His apostles.Note His gifts and authority over things of life.Focus on Him and not the gifts.
What a family feud brews in Jacob's house. What have you learned by reading so far?Has your prayer life improved?Beth-el is not the same as El-beth-el.What attributes have you noted in your reading? Read to know Him. love pj

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

13 January 2010 Provisions for Joseph and his family are being prepared.Do you remember that his lineage goes back to Abraham? Now we get to read how The LORD overwatched his family. Make note of stewardship/tithe principal being demonstrated.Where/when does obedience to truth conflict with the love of GOD?-----
Have you ever spoken to The LORD,our Lord and asked Him to do you a favor, that only GOD could do?What caused you to have the faith to do that? What did you read, hear or see that caused you to believe? He is wholly HOLY pity in person.
"According to your faith be it unto you".
Take the proverb as personal instruction for our daily conversation. love pj
12 January 2010 With the emphasis on stewardship, how does proverbs 3:9-10 fit?It seems that everything we face today, someone in the Bible has already faced, survived and somehow/way GOD provided a way out that was good and He got the glory.
Remember to look for His names, traits, attributes and focus on The LORD and not on the circumstances.Notice the sins being acted out(Rebekah,Jacob and Esau)and determine how you will prepare for similar events that have happened or may occur in your life soon.Develop some weapons verses to memorize and allow them to shield you in times of doubt, fear, temptation and confusion.

Take time to be amazed at Jesus! Consider Matt 9:2 and ask yourself who has been healed because GOD saw your faith. Where were you when Jesus passed by and said "Follow me"? Focus on GOD and read to know Him! love pj

Monday, January 11, 2010

11 January 2010 How does it feel to be reading GOD's history lesson again? Do you remember how it was the first time you read this report? For the older people we dream of having a good report at our passing like that of Abraham;just give up the ghost, die in a good old age, an old man and full of years(175)and go to heaven.Hope you notice the covenants that The LORD makes in Genesis. We get to enjoy the promise made to Noah(Jan4)today of GOD's provision of seedtime and harvest, cold and heat and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease;and neither will He smite every living thing Gen 8:21-22.

Hope you see the power in Jesus as He control the elements and we say to ourselves "What manner of man is this?" It becomes personal! Please consider meditating on Proverbs 3:1-8 and develop your individual check list for your daily manner of living. GOD wants all men to repent and be saved. Do you know Him? pj

Sunday, January 10, 2010

10 Jan 2010 Sunday and warm. What a wonderful day for church. I hope you are enjoying the report prepared by Moses about our beginning with GOD. What I found fascinating about Matthew's record of Jesus' words after the sermon on the mount to the Jews was that of opening the door for the military man in v5-13,who was a gentile. But v17/Isaiah 53:4 caught my imagination, where did all the sins, leprosy, hurts and death of the believers go, because He touched are spoke them away? HE TOOK Them ALL!!I thank GOD for Him becoming man, coming to redeem that which was lost, you and me.He took all my sin-sins into His own body and paid my sin debt! What a gift!Re look Romans 5:8 and say thank you to GOD.
Keep on reading till He comes to get you and me.Could be today. Love,pj
