13 April 2013 Saturday-915, Friday is past but Sunday is coming. Hope you have read your Bible to know your Lord and Saviour better today than yesterday. We got to enjoy our youngest grandson's birthday today. Yesterday he had a "Zip-Line" party with his best friend Eli and he invited us to join in the adventure. It was a great time/challenge.  First we had to climb up a 4 story platform, then zip by links over cables from tree platform to tree platform. The last zip was 900 yards back to the start point. All of us survived and agreed to do it again soon. Eli's dad is a pastor and we had a  good time talking about The Lord and how we are blessed.

As we read the Proverbs for today, 13:2-3, we are reminded about stewardship of our mouth. No wise man that is diligent and wants to be prudent will be careless, epically with lose and unkind words.

Psalm 82 tells us again about the impact of judging people incorrectly. It seems as if we should say, be right, do right and don't quit.

Jesus teaches principals for life in Luke 16. Stewardship is the theme/backdrop used to show how greed, selfishness, lying and bad friends is not smart. We always reap what we sow. Read again v15 and spend some time to apply this truth in your prayer life.

God causes Joshua to serve as judge for the sin that caused 36 men to die at the battle for Ai. Prompt obedience and strict discipline are great rules for families and military units.  As you read about how Achan is found to be the cause and he is quickly charged and condemned to be stoned to death. Look at v25 and consider all Israel carried out this sentence. How does this impact your concept of God? Perhaps if we take time to read The Bible seeking to know God, He will cause The Holy Spirit to teach us what we need to know so that we may trust and obey. Believe what you read. luvpj        Hope to see you in Sunday School and Church.
