1 April 2015, all is well, Jesus is alive, God is not dead and he is not willing that any should die in their sin. Read your Bible to know Truth. Believe what you read, be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ, confess, repent and receive the gift of eternal life.

This is Lesson # 12 for the One Year Bible Class held at VBC on 5 April 2015.
****Sunday 5 April VBC will celebrate Easter Sunday. There will be no class meeting today, 5 April. There will be a special celebration service at 10:30-12:00. Breakfast will be available at 9 AM.  This week (March-30-Apri 5) we will read Deuteronomy 13:1-28:68, Luke 8:41-11:36, Psalm 71:1-77:20 & Proverbs 12:5-18.
Take some extra time and scan each of the four Gospels to become more familiar with the betrayal, trial and treatment of Jesus by both the Jews and the Romans. Read carefully the crucifixion account to appreciate the cost of “sin” and pause and offer a prayer of thanksgiving that Jesus took our- your place at Calvary. When we meet on Sunday we will enjoy the reality that “He is RISEN!” and now we wait for his imminent return, Maranatha.
Mon—What is significant about the tithe being stored by Israel? Because Jesus is God an Omniscient, why did he want to know who touched him? How was the kingdom of God announced by Jesus?

Tue—What is your thought about casting the first stone because you witnessed an event worthy of death? Did God want Israel to have a king? Compare the actual miracle and when it happened then why did Jesus want it not to be told and then when was it revealed?
Wed—What three offices did Jesus fill and will be forever? Why would a parent sacrifice their child by fire? What did you learn from Peter concerning making tabernacles? What military principle is shown in chapter 20? What did God the Father declare Jesus to be? How did Jesus define “Elohim” when dealing with the children? Compare Psalm 73 against Psalm 37.

Thu—What restrictions concerning clothing and warnings about sexual sins did you see that are applicable for today? What discipleship questions were discussed in Luke 9? What charge, message and or restrictions were given to the men sent before Jesus to go into every city? Why does the psalmist remind God of what he has said? What does the “tiller” get from his work?
Fri—What did you learn about alms giving? What attribute of God did you see in Luke 10? Do you act like a Samaritan when you see hurting people? What did God promise in Psalm 75?

Sat—What advantage is there to being obedient to God’s commandments? What did you learn by observing the curses and judgments of the twelve tribes on Mount Ebal and Gerazim? Are you most like Martha or Mary? What did you see God do in Psalm 76:10? How do you deal with insults?
Sun—How does God reach the dispersed Jews from the Old Testament during the New Testament? How ought man to be diligent to “hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God?” What happens when men do not hearken to God? What did Jesus demonstrate when casting out demons? Have you prayed back Psalm 77?

Read to know God and believe what you read. Hope to see you all at our combined church service at 10:30 Sunday 5 April to celebrate that Jesus is alive! Amen.
