28 Jan 2013 Monday-992, Friday will soon and Sunday is Coming. I realize Sunday is the first day of the week and 8 is the number that corresponds to a new beginning, but I look forward to Monday(9) as the day of judgment- what will I do with what I have been given? Hope you have been reading your Bible and that you are amazed at the beauty and majesty of the LORD of hosts.
Exodus is an exciting book of remembrance penned by Moses. I am awed by the nearness of the LORD to Moses, Aaron and Pharaoh. I am reminded that there is absolutely nothing that God does not know from yesterday, now, then and tomorrow for He is Omniscient! It surprises me that the Egyptians suffered so much because of the hardness of the heart of the king of Egypt. This may be a glimpse of America. I'm glad that the wise men and sorcerers were vain imitators of the men of God. God's mercy was demonstrated to the Hebrews proving His might and love for them. Watch for the "test and trials" of God and when they begin, repent and plead for mercy as you confess. Please don't spend another night with the frogs.
Matthew teaches us about stewardship and Lordship. Accept the fact that the LORD hates divorce, BUT He loves divorcees! His love is UNCONDITIONAL. Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Receive His gift of eternal life and enjoy Him and His blessings. Get right//be right, do right and don't quit.
When you put yourself in the (unseen) hands of The Master, The Shepherd, The LORD you will dwell in His house forever. Read, believe, heed, receive and share The Truth.
Please, do not die in your sin of unbelief. Read to know Him and believe what He tells you. luvpj

25 Jan 2013 Friday and Sunday is coming! We are down to 995 days left and time is fleeting. What did "we" do yesterday to cause someone to turn towards God? I really hope you are reading your Bible to know The LORD. Please don't let my comments and questions satisfy your taste for truth. The Truth comes from God. Consider Psalm 119:9-11 as a way to determine your status. Look again at James 4:17 to see how you conduct aligns to the Biblical example. Read, Read, Read to know God.
My reaction to reading the Proverbs today was "Oh me". I need to ponder how and where I walk, who I see and follow and who I talk with in the day. This reminds me of Psalm 1. Read, be warned, respond to His calling and live.
One questioned asked of the disciples that "haunts" all of today is whom do we say that Jesus is? We cannot know God except through Jesus. We cannot be saved except we believe that we have sinned against God The Father, see the perfection in Jesus. as God man, and then by faith believe that God will forgive us for Jesus' sake by receiving the free gift of salvation. After salvation we ought to follow Jesus as our Lord. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, no man cometh unto the Father except through Him.
The OT tells a sure fact that all men die as it is written in Hebrews 9:27, and this corresponds with Matt16:27. Stewardship of the "gifts" we have received from God is applicable to every person. Exodus will tell the account of the children of God living for 300+ years in Egypt being prepared for their deliverance from Pharaoh. Moses will be God's agent for deliverance of the Jews towards the promise land. The Jews began in Egypt when Joseph was enslaved, then his family coming for salvation from the famine and in about 400 years growing to a force of 600,000 men plus women and children. Some prophecy will be fulfilled, history will be recorded and more prophecy will be given. Read to know God. Please don't become over loaded in the circumstances, look for God. luvpj

23 Jan 2013 Wednesday,Yea! Sunday is coming and we have 997 days left. What did The LORD show you yesterday? How did you express yourself to your Lord as you saw what God had put before you a per John 3:12? Take time to be grateful for sight, hearing, feelings and the ability to reason and think. This morning I saw, as if for the first time, the tabernacle as recorded in Psalm 19.
Hope you are reading to know God. I hope you know God as your personal Saviour. I hope you are amazed at His handiwork. Share your joy with someone you "really" care about and with a stranger. Yesterday, while we were having lunch, a man made comment about my "Army" hat. We congratulated each other on being veterans of "Special Forces" and discussed our good times in the military. I had the opportunity to share my tract with him and I hope God will use it to draw this man and his family to Himself for salvation. Who have you ask to go to heaven with you? 997 days left and it could be today, Maranatha. Read to kn ow Him. Be right,do right and don't quit. luvpj

21 Jan 2013 Monday, soon it will be Friday and Sunday is coming and we have 999 days remaining. Hope your reading has been enjoyable, informative and you know God more today than yesterday.
We started a 1000 day countdown yesterday in our SS Class relating that to the three plus years of Jesus' life from the time he left the carpenters shop till he ascended into heaven. A proposition for you and me is, if we had a guaranteed 1000 days of life to serve and represent God in our flesh, what would we be and do? In my case I now have only 999 days and I want to be a good servant, a dependable brother and a pleasing righteous son of God to the end. Take up the challenge.
The writer of the Proverbs shows us what is the principal thing.(go to the dictionary and look again at the definition of "principal".) Then we are instructed to be and do right. Get wisdom! We all have a choice as to what we consider wisdom to be and the best source for it. We often say we need or want "understanding" yet, most of us rely upon our experiences or info from the world.
Take time to consider the difference between the world and God. God causes the writer to make a plea with us and he said " hear,...(not listen).... O my son...(personal).... receive my sayings....(a choice)...(heed)...(a promise is coming)...and the years of life shall be many. I say it like this "Be right,do right and don't quit." You have a choice and the consequence of that choice is yours and God will make the ultimate reward.
A snap shot may be made of Psalm 18 when you reflect on what God has done for you through salvation. Take time to look back at where you were when Jesus saved you, see it again. He rescued a sinner like me! Imagine the future with Christ in heaven-got the picture? When we read scriptures that cause us to stop and recall an event, I call that a snap shot. I make a mark by those verses with the date so that in the days to come when I read it again , I will be able to remember where I was last year.
Matthew records a very sad remark at 14:13. I got the picture in my mind! I don't want that event to happen in my life, in my family, in my church or in my nation. O Lord help thou my unbelief!!
Drama in Genesis as recorded about Joseph and his family. How many pictures did you see? Did you say " I don't want that to happen in my life"? God causes the good and the bad to be made plain so that we may learn what to do and how to be. We have a choice. Who does Joseph remind you of by his words and deeds? We read to know God, He is the Alpha and the Omega. luvpj

18 Jan 2013 a beautiful day to be alive, in Texas, a child of The King and on the way to heaven. How about you, wherever you are, are you ready for the Rapture? Hope your reading has encouraged you to follow Christ.
Jealousy will cause (good-sane) people to do bad things. The LORD caused Jacob's family feud to be recorded by Moses in Genesis37so that we might learn to see circumstances and flee from hating and hurting others. Don't focus only on the events, but focus on Him who controls all events. What trait or attribute did you see in God? Pay attention to how Joseph will be protected by family and enemies. Note the lineage of Christ as it recorded in the life of Judah.
Matthew wants us to that Jesus is greater than all humans. Note the OT linkage to NT events and circumstances. The Psalmist declared that God was his source of hope, trust and goodness. The writer of Proverbs shows the benefits of being saved and states that the secrets of The LORD are with the redeemed.
We all have a choice a to "how" we hear these truths, what we believe and what we do. Because consequences of making bad choices that lead to sin do not always blast us immediately, we presume on God. Consider the family of Judah as they relate to Joseph and learn that years may or do pass before our sins find us out. My advice to us all is to get right, be right, do right and don't quit. luvpj

16 Jan 2013 Wednesday and Sunday is coming. As you read to know God I hope you take time to enjoy what you have in Christ. We all are encouraged to meditate in the Word. Selah is a reminder given in the Psalms to stop, pause, consider, read again and think on what you have just read. The next step is to hide the Word in your heart-memorize so that you sin not against God. When the Word is in our heart then the Holy Spirit may draw up and out to be used as you witness. Congrats!
Because we are created in His image Proverbs 3:19-20 takes on a more significant meaning. We are to have the mind of Christ. Read to know Him. Psalm 14 declares a very harsh truth about the fool. We were as he is before salvation. Take time to be grateful.
Matthew continues to share his experience that he had with the Lord Jesus Christ. We get to hear about history and prophecy as Jesus tells about the mind and heart of The Father. The offer for salvation, protection, care, provisions, hope, rest and fellowship with God is made VERY plain, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden." Come, Come, Christ offers peace.
Genesis 32 continues the saga of Jacob. He had a meeting in a creek, where did you meet and come face to face with God? Each and every person is and will be offered this opportunity to be saved and changed forever. We see "things" will not satisfy. We learn that our sins will haunt us till we confess and make them right. Sadly, evidence will be shown in our children, note the conduct of Dinah, Simeon and Levi with the people of Shechem. Note the name given at 33:20 and consider how it applies today. Theses things have been written in the Bible for us to be warned, wooed, wounded and reconciled to God. Please pay attention, get right, be right, do right and don't quit. luvpj

14 Jan 2013 Monday and Sunday is coming. Hope you are reading your Bible to know God. Are you happy? Have you found wisdom? Have you gotten understanding? If not, what are you looking for to be paramount in your life? Pray back Psalm 12:1 and wait.
We are in the process of seeing the church coming to life and into action by observing the Lord direct His disciple whom He calls apostle in the book penned by Matthew. This is an eye witness report. As you see this take place I caution you to focus on the director of these events and not the players. Apply vs10:24 to your code of conduct as you live like these men were instructed to live.
Genesis continues to give us insight to God's heart, traits and attributes so as we read we can know Him. How is your life similar to Jacob's or his family? How did the LORD work to cause His will to be done? As you read do you feel like shouting out to Jacob and his wives and their handmaids to not do this or that? Take time to allow the Holy Spirit to lead you into truth as you read and pray. Take time to be thankful, grateful and happy as to how God has treated you. Pray for the lost. luvpj

12 Jan 2013 Saturday and Sunday is coming!!This could be The Day! Hope you have been reading to know God. Looking forward to the class this Sunday. If you are planning to attend, please bring your 365, be on time , and expecting The LORD to bless you and me, and all those present.
God makes His ways very plain and we are without excuse, particularily in the matter of stewardship. The writer of Proverbs 3:9-10 makes the getting, giving and getting process simple. It is clear that all/any people get "things" by working for them, someone giving them to us or by stealing.
It seems as if the 10th Psalm calls our conduct of our stewardship into plain sight and shows how we treat others while God is watching. Let us remember that there is nothing hid from God. Our goal ought to be like Jesus not anti Christ.
When Jesus came off the mountain after sharing the "sermon on the mount" and went for the boat ride storms arose. It is always better to be with Jesus in the srorm(will of God) than to be covered with gold seperated from God. How we act/react in the storm reveals our faith. When you see how Matthew was called and how he responded, how do you recall your "response" to Jesus when He said Folllow Me? Are you in God's will today?
I hope you were fascinated with God when you read Genesis 22. Perhaps you have been disappointed by the conduct of Abraham and Sarah, Issac and Rebekah and Issac and Esau, because of their tendency to lie to people. How has this impacted your concept of God and changed your conduct? We read to know God. Spend a few minuets looking back through the 26 chapters of Genesis and take note of the names of God.

9 Jan 2013 Wednesday, Sunday is coming and Maranatha is the promise. Wow, I had a world mission tour Monday and Tuesday of this week.I spent about 36 hours in the Medical Plaza ER and observation area being evaluated by several Doctors to determine "what" caused my pain in the left chest area and a slight numbness in the left hand. They determined that it was not an heart attack and there were no major blockages. Yea!!
Thank The LORD my Lord for His care, protection, provision and for using some of the most caring physicians, nurses and aides to check and care for me. I met people from Israel, Bosnia, S. America, Puerta Rico, Mexico, "Asia", America and they all were receptive to hearing about God, His Son and The Bible. It was as if I was placed on a spinning table and God would bring people from around the world to converse with me and I could openly tell the Gospel. Thank you for praying for my family.
Reading about Lot is very exciting. I really admire Abraham for his concern for his family and especially how he responded to God's test. IMO this (Gen 22) was a BIG DEAL, a major league event and something like a diamond cutting glass demonstration.
Reading what Jesus was saying in the sermon on the mount (Matt 5>) was as if it was part two, or a continuation of the saga about Abraham and Lot. This reading is for today. Pay attention to what discipline these men followed and follow their choices and the consequences they "enjoyed".
Carefully apply the Proverbs to your daily conversation and then tell God how you are obedient, wise and righteous. Pray back the Psalms. Read to know God and learn to be still, get right, be right and when directed do right by the grace of GOD. Don't quit. Pray for the lost. Believe what you read. luvpj The 2013 class is going great. We will meet in the Gym this Sunday. Read His Words.

2 Jan 2013 Wow! Congrats on being here and waiting for the coming of the Lord. Hope your reading has been exciting, informative, enlightening, uplifting and stimulating your interest in knowing God. It is a big deal to be here on day 2. Two is the first number that can be divided and I believe you have made the best choice to continue to read. Each day is a success. We read to know Him. Do not be confused to think that if you do not read or that you fall behind that this affects God's love for you. He loves all of us, all of the time, and His love is not conditional.
Gen 1:1-4:26 covers much ground, the first sin, the first statement about salvation, the promise of The Saviour, the first murder and the first separation from God's presence. As you read I hope you will discover the attributes, traits and names of God. We can begin to develop a journal of promises that will be a comfort for us throughout this year. Focus on God and not just on His deeds that are recorded. Read and allow the Holy Spirit to teach you what you need today.
Matthew 1:1-3:6 demonstrates that the writer "assumes" that the reader knows and is familiar with the Old Testament. What a history lesson is given concerning the 42 generations of families relative to the birth of Jesus. In these two days we span Gen3:15 to Matt 1:16-2:23 and read what happened 6000-2000+ years ago in 15-20 minuets of reading. Enjoy what you read and pray as you read that the Spirit of God will open your eyes to Truth.
Psalms 1:1-6 shows all mankind the will of God. Read to know Him and then hear and obey. As you read through Psalm 2 note how God sees all things and makes provisions for the believers who are wise.
Proverbs 1:1-9 is plain and simple admonishing "all" men to be wise. This instruction must be given by God and men ought not to develop their own rules. All good news begins after a realization of the fear of GOD. Agree now with the LORD that there is no wisdom nor knowledge apart from Him. Read to know him. Get right/be right, do right and don't quit. luvpj Pray for the lost.
