Hopefully you have been reading your Bible to know God. We hope to be of more assistance this year and be better organized in our presentations of encouragement for you to read the Bible to know God.

What we will try to do is set up a lesson preview / review each Sunday PM for the reading each week. PLEASE read your BIBLE FIRST and focus on how THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS ENLIGHTENED AND INFORMED YOU THE TRUTHS YOU HAVE READ.

Use our notes to compare and if you have a question we will provide you a way to transmit it to us and we will reply the following Sunday. Read this period days of January 1-5. We will post a lesson for the following week 6-12 January, read your Bible. The One Year Bible is located at our blog site, Barnabas Impact Ministry.com.

Lesson 1 "One Year Bible" Barnabas Impact Ministry-Victory Baptist Church  06-01-2020

Begin on Jan 1ST, read to know God. ** Before you start to read take time to seek The LORD, allow The Holy Spirit to have control, seek to be holy. Read and apply 1ST John 1:9 and follow the instructions. Be specific in confessing your sins. Accept the cleansing promise of God and be grateful. Read Genesis 1:1-2:25; Matthew 1:1-2:12; Psalm 1:1-6 and Proverbs 1:1-6. Start and keep on reading to know God. Try to read each morning. Make notes daily such as the day of the week, the temperature and what you plan to do that day. If you do not read, don't get trapped into thinking you have to catch up in order to be current. This will cause you to develop a thought that you must read to please God to be acceptable. God will not love you less because you did not read. Read, apply James 4:17 and continue to read daily.

During this period you will have read: Genesis 1:1-13:4  Consider these questions, who is the author of this book and when was it written? What is significant about v1:1? What happens after the first 70 verses? What division did The LORD make in chapter 3? How does v3:15 change the tone of the Bible. How does v5:1 apply to you?

Matthew 1:1-5:26  What is significant about v1:16? Who was afraid in v2:22? How does v3:2 apply today? How was Jesus tempted by the devil in chap4? Does chap 5 apply?

Psalm 1:1-5:12  What is God's first promise? What conditions must be met to be blessed? How do you use v4:1 to pray? What does Selah mean? Is v6:9 true?

Proverbs 1:1-28 What will a wise man hear? What is wisdom? Where does wisdom begin? Who is a simple one? What promises did you discover?

What conclusion did you draw from reading the Old Testament?

What were as the highlights from Matthew's Gospel?

How did you meditate on Psalm 1? What evidence did you find of your conversation?

How can you apply the principals given in Proverbs to your life / family / children?

Can you summarize what you learned about The LORD this week into one sentence?

The four rules for the class are: Be / get right FIRST, Read your Bible to know right; Do right according to the scriptures and then Don 't Quit.

DETERMINE ONE CRITICAL THOUGHT FROM THE OT, NT, PSALM AND THE PROVERBS THAT YOU HAVE READ AND IT HAS CHANGED YOUR LIFE THIS WEEK.
