22 May 2011 Lesson # 20

Lesson #20 VBC 365 Bible Class Main Bldg-BB Class 22 May 11

Please let us know if you are working here at the church and will not be in class. If you have missed class and are not up to date on your reading - COME ON. Please pray for your "card partner", the country and your missionary family and also the Owens, Coates, Jenkins families. *** In our class, take time to tell them/someone you are seeking favor from GOD for them.
Is there one(1) thing / thought / idea or concept that impressed you this week? Can you say "this one thing I know” because you have read and discovered a truth this week? ???????? Did a light come on for you this week because you read? yes¬¬____no____
This week we have had the opportunity to read the following:
1st Samuel 18:5-31:13 How do you consider that "they were untheocratic"? (Consider 1st Sam 8:7) What three titles are given to Samuel? What are the "significant" differences between Saul and David? When you read 22:2 how did you relate this to your life and how does this affect your concept of God?
2nd Samuel 1:1-2:11 What did you learn about GOD and His leadership ?
### NOW THIS IS THE QUESTION?? ### IF YOU READ TO KNOW HIM, WHAT WILL IT TAKE FOR YOU TO SEEK A PERSONAL ENCOUNTER WITH GOD, THE LORD YOUR SAVIOUR, IN THE 365 BIBLE, EXPECTING HIM TO CHANGE YOU?
John 8:31-12:50 How do you relate to the blind man in chapter 9? __ How can this event be incorporated into your testimony?__ Take time to personalize the "I Am" statements into your prayer life? Compare John 10:25-30 to 3:12 and see how they are linked._ As you read and consider the statement made at 11:25, does v26 seem more or less real to you?__ In chapter 12 how is the light compared to the Son of man?_____
Psalm 112:1-118:29 Try often to say "Bless The LORD, O my soul"? How can we become more dependent upon GOD's grace and mercy? ________
Proverbs 15:12-28 How does Titus 2:9-10 relate to the proverbs this week?
Hopefully the reading this week make you sense/feel/know and believe that you are in fact saved and in The Lord Jesus Christ and that you are accepted, secure and significant to GOD.
PLEASE, don't let my questions discourage you. Read to know Him. If you don't see what I see, tell me. I need to hear your response to my thoughts and questions.
