26 June 2011 Lesson # 25

Lesson #25 VBC 365 Bible Class Main Bldg-BB Classroom 26 June 2011
If you have missed class and are not up to date on your reading - COME ON, Please. What is coach Mike's favorite saying? "If you quit now, you will always be _ _ _ _ _ _ _!; continue to pray for your "card partner", your missionary family and those names(?) in the bag.
Is there one(1) thing / thought / idea or concept that impressed you this week? Can you say "this one thing I know” because you have read and discovered a truth this week?

*comments from The New Scofield* Study Bible "First and Second Kings were originally one book. Second Kings contains the record of two great national tragedies-the fall of the northern kingdom, Israel, in 723 B.C.; and the fall of Judah with the destruction of Jerusalem, in 586B.C.-- as well as an account of the mighty ministry of Elisha. During the period recorded in this book, Israel received warnings and exhortations from Amos and Hosea, and a number of prophets arose in Judah, including Isaiah and Jeremiah. The book concludes with the people of Judah in captivity in Babylon."
As we read this week (20-26) we will have had the opportunity to consider the following:
1st Kings 22:1-53 What do you admire about the prophet Micaiah? How did God work to influence the kings? What attributes did you see The LORD demonstrate in this chap.?
2nd Kings 1:-10:31 How did God demonstrate His powers in the lives of Elijah and Elisha? How do you relate to the four test given to Elisha by Elijah? How do you relate to Naaman? How have you acted like Gehazi? How did God use the four lepers in chap 7? What intrigue did you observe at 8:14-15? Discuss the death of Jezebel? What dismays you about 10:31?
Acts 13:16-17:34 What caused the disciples to be filled with joy in Chap 13? How did GOD provide for the people in Chap 14? What is significant about Chap 15? Is it OK to be different? What is different about the second journey from the first? Does a man of God expect to be used 24/7/365? What was strange about the men of Athens?
How do you see GOD working through His people?
Psalm138:1-144:15 How does 144:8-10 comfort you? How do you pray back 143:7-12? How do you relate to 142:4? What attributes of God did you see in Psalm139?
Proverbs 17:17-28 What can we learn from a fool? Has v22 impacted your life?
Hopefully, the reading this week causes you to sense, feel, know and believe that you are in fact saved, safe and in the hand of God, The Lord Jesus Christ, and that you are accepted in the beloved, secure and significant to GOD. Consider others, check on those that were not in class last week, tell and show them you care for them.
Please accept my appreciation for your participation in our class. Congratulation for coming this far, don't quit because tomorrow may be The Day, Maranatha.
** Take time to tell someone you are seeking a specific favor for them from GOD.
