Feb 21st Hope you are enjoying reading His Word so that you may know Him. Leviticus11:1-12:8 makes it clear what God had in mind for His children. He wanted His people healthy. They were passing through nations of unbelievers and the Israelites were to be different and not act like nor eat like them. I suspect if we were more alert to our eating habits today, even to the point of avoiding some food item, we would be healthier and certainly different from the world.
Mark5:21-43 shows how many have a wrong/false concept of GOD. We expect God to operate on our time schedule and when He does not we get frustrated. His delays or not denials. He does not get angry because people touch Him or His garments. Jesus gave the woman who touched His garment assurance that because of her faith she was made whole. Meanwhile Jarius was being told that his daughter was dead and not to bother Jesus, but the Master said "be not afraid only believe" and then they went to the house. What will it take for us to say "it is enough, just that He said so" for us to believe? Jesus spoke the word to the damsel "arise" and that was enough. What has He done for you and who have you told?
Psalm 38 seems to be spoken by a person who is broken hearted and contrite, yet turns to God and seeks help. What will it take for us to be ready to halt and declare our iniquities to The LORD?
Proverbs10:8-9 is very similar to Psalm 1 and declares the conduct of a wise man and records the benefits of being and doing right. pj
